Former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene Announces She Is in Talks to Launch “TRUE AMERICA-FOCUSED” Third Party After Quitting GOP

Less than six months after resigning from Congress amid a bitter public split with the President she once championed, the ex-GOP congresswoman says she’s exploring a new party open to “serious players from the right and the left” for voters “disgusted” by current options.

In a Tuesday appearance on Piers Morgan Uncensored, former Republican Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene revealed she is “in talks” and having “serious conversations” about forming a new political party.

“I think there’s a group of us that if we decide to align, we could launch a true America-focused party that doesn’t fall into the traps of Democrats or Republicans, but could align some serious players from the right and the left,” Greene said.

She quickly added the massive caveat: “It’s difficult to launch a third party, so the reality is this isn’t something that gets off the ground in just a couple of campaign cycles. This is a movement that has to be developed and would take time to develop.”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Greene stunned her district and the MAGA movement in November 2025 when she announced her resignation from Congress, effective January 5, 2026.

In an 11-minute video and four-page letter, she claimed she had “too much self-respect and dignity” and refused to endure a primary challenge from “the President we all fought for.” She accused Trump of calling her a traitor over her push to release the Jeffrey Epstein files and said loyalty must be “a two-way street.”

President Trump responded with brutal clarity, withdrawing his support and branding her “Lightweight Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Brown,” noting that “green grass turns brown when it begins to ROT.”

He also called her “Marjorie ‘Traitor’ Green,” a “disgrace to our GREAT REPUBLICAN PARTY,” and compared her to known RINOs like Thomas Massie. Trump accused her of betraying the party after turning left and embarrassing herself on The View.
