Macklemore Dropped From Ed Sheeran Tour Following Anti-Israel, Anti-ICE Rant

The Gateway Pundit reported that woke rapper Macklemore used some of his time on stage during the Ed Sheeran tour to go off on anti-Israel and anti-ICE tirades.

He has now been removed from the tour.

Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, aka ‘Macklemore,’  accused Israel of committing genocide in Gaza and issued a call to “Free Palestine.”

He also called for Lebanon, Congo, and Sudan to be freed, as well as, perhaps inadvertently, Cuba and Iran.

“Free Cuba” and “Free Iran” are phrases used by activists to call for human rights and an end to the Communist and theocratic regimes.

He then called ICE a terrorist organization, calling for “all the people living in America that have to live in fear” to be freed.

Following his comments, some concertgoers asked for ticket refunds as well as for him to be dropped from the remainder of the tour.

Imagine paying $500+ to see Ed Sheeran only to be ambushed by Macklemore’s relentless anti-Israel obsession.

Yes, the same Macklemore who appeared onstage dressed as an Orthodox Jew, complete with an enormous prosthetic nose.

In an exclusive statement to Rolling Stone, Messina Touring Group, the promoter of the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s Loop Tour, shared:

“As the concert promoter for Ed Sheeran’s U.S. Loop Tour, we have been notified by venues on the upcoming U.S. tour dates that they will not allow a concert to take place with Macklemore on the lineup, which would result in the cancellation of the tour and impact hundreds of thousands of fans. After discussions with stakeholders, Macklemore will not be performing on the remaining support dates.”

Macklemore was slated to appear at eight of the 10 shows left on the U.S. leg of Sheeran’s tour, which is set to resume this Friday, Sept. 19, in Philadelphia. The venues that allegedly objected to the rapper include: Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia; Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts; Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta; Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis; Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina; AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas; and Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

This is not the first time he has displayed his anti-Israel obsession. In 2014, the rapper wore an anti-Semitic costume on stage during his Seattle concert.

Following the October 7 terrorist attacks on civilians in Israel, the rapper called Israel’s response to the Hamas terrorist attacks that killed innocent Israeli civilians a “genocide.”

Just weeks after terrorists murdered, raped, and kidnapped civilians, Macklemore spoke in front of a large crowd  as tens of thousands of pro-Hamas/Palestinian demonstrators marched in downtown DC, demanding a ‘cease fire.’

He shared that it was “beautiful to observe” the huge crowd and their calls for the destruction of Israel.
