WATCH: Independent Georgia Veteran Says Democrats Have “Lost Their Mind” — Will “Hold My Nose” and Vote Republican to Stop “Lunatic Socialists”

An independent voter and disabled military veteran from Georgia delivered a blistering warning about the Democrat Party during a call to C-SPAN, declaring that Democrats have “lost their mind” and are attempting to transform America into a socialist republic.

During C-SPAN’s Washington Journal, Tim from Georgia, identifying as an independent and a disabled veteran who served 11 years, didn’t mince words when asked which party he plans to support in the November midterms.

“I’m a little bit confused on that right now because the Democrats have lost their mind. This is insanity what is going on,” Tim said.

“You’re sitting here and telling me that the United States of America is going to have a socialist party that is going to be running the country. What military? I did 11 years, and as a disabled veteran, I would never join the military and fight for a socialist republic. This is insanity.”

Tim said he was now considering voting Republican solely to stop the Democrat Party’s dangerous march toward socialism. But he also unloaded on spineless Republican lawmakers.

“So now I’m thinking I have to vote Republican to stop this from going on, but then I look at them and I’m like, they don’t have the guts to stand up to nothing that Trump puts in front of them, except “McCloskey.” She’s the only one that seems to be able to do that, and she’s leaving.”

Tim then delivered his bottom line: He would rather “hold his nose” and support Republicans than hand America over to the socialist lunatics running today’s Democrat Party.

“In order to stop this insanity from the Democratic Party, I’m going to have to hold my nose and vote Republican, because I would rather vote Republican and have this country stay the United States of America—the democratic country we are—than turn it over to a bunch of lunatic socialists.”

“That’s what they are. And you name me one socialist country that is not on its hands and knees right now, struggling. That’s where we’ll be if we continue down this road.”

The caller’s warning comes as the Democratic Socialists of America openly admit that their objective is not merely to reform the Democrat Party but to replace America’s capitalist system altogether.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, DSA official Ashik Siddique explicitly declared that the organization’s goal is “to replace capitalism with socialism.”

Tim was no blind Trump loyalist, however. When asked about the president’s handling of the war with Iran, he sharply criticized Trump for what he described as the absence of a clear endgame.

The veteran said he initially supported military action against Iran because of Tehran’s long history of sponsoring terrorism against Americans, including the 1983 bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut.

But he accused Trump of allowing the conflict to spiral out of control and questioned whether oil companies were benefiting from the continued instability.

Despite those concerns, Tim said the alternative offered by Democrats was far worse.

“I would rather ride with Trump than give this country to a bunch of lunatic socialists who want to get rid of the military, get rid of ICE, get rid of the cops.”

“They just want to turn this place into a madhouse.”
