RINO Congressman Don Bacon (R-NE) floated the idea of impeaching President Trump if he invades Greenland.

“I would lean that way,” he said of supporting an impeachment over Greenland. “The off-ramp is realizing Republicans aren’t going to tolerate this and he’s going to have to back off. He hates being told no, but in this case, I think Republicans need to be firm.”

Bacon announced his retirement from Congress last July, and he’s eying impeachment as his final act.

Bacon also co-sponsored a bill with Democrats to curb Trump’s power and prevent a military invasion of Greenland, which Trump has not expressed plans for. Still, he has signaled that the option is on the table, likely for strategic purposes.

“I think it should be unnecessary,” Bacon told the Omaha World Herald while speaking about the legislation.

“It’s ridiculous that this has to even be done. But when the president talks about taking Greenland one way or the other way every day this last week or so and that it’s unacceptable if Greenland refuses to be part of the United States, I felt like I needed to make a statement that Republicans disagree,” the lone Republican sponsor of the bill added.

Trump has repeatedly said the island is needed for national security and to prevent Russia or China from taking over.

Trump told reporters at a news conference last month at Mar-a-Lago, while announcing a new Golden Fleet of battleships.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump took a different approach than using the military on Saturday, despite apparent threats of military conflict from NATO members.

Trump slapped Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Finland with 10% tariffs, effective February 1, in response to troop movements to defend NATO from US forces.

“China and Russia want Greenland, and there is not a thing that Denmark can do about it. They currently have two dogsleds as protection, one added recently. Only the United States of America, under PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP, can play in this game, and very successfully, at that! Nobody will touch this sacred piece of Land, especially since the National Security of the United States, and the World at large, is at stake,” Trump said.

The 10% tariff will increase to 25% on June 1, and will be “due and payable until such time as a Deal is reached for the Complete and Total purchase of Greenland,” Trump said.

Previously, Trump said he'd "love to make a deal with them," but "one way or another, we’re going to have Greenland."

With regard to NATO, the President suggested he might withdraw the US from the alliance and stated, "I’m the one that saved NATO. You wouldn’t have NATO if I weren’t President."

"I just wonder whether or not, if we needed NATO, would they be there for us? I’m not sure they would," Trump continued. "They need us much more than we need them."

"Look, we’re talking about acquiring, not leasing, not having it short-term. We’re talking about acquiring. And if we don’t do it, Russia or China will, and that’s not going to happen when I’m President," he added.

WATCH:

Per the Omaha World Herald:

Rep. Don Bacon on Wednesday ratcheted up his criticism of President Donald Trump's approach to Greenland, telling The World-Herald that Trump's comments represent "utter buffoonery" and that invading Greenland would be a "disastrous idea" that could lead to Trump's impeachment.

Bacon, a Nebraska Republican who's not seeking reelection this fall, said an invasion of Greenland could prompt House Republicans to impeach Trump, who was impeached by the House twice in his first term but acquitted both times by the Senate.

"I'll be candid with you: There's so many Republicans mad about this," Bacon said. "If he went through with the threats, I think it would be the end of his presidency. And he needs to know: The off-ramp is realizing Republicans aren't going to tolerate this and he's going to have to back off. He hates being told no, but in this case, I think Republicans need to be firm."

Bacon declined to say definitively whether he would support a hypothetical Greenland-related impeachment of Trump. But he said he'd strongly consider it.

"I don't want to give you a definite yes or no, but I would lean that way," he said. "It would be a total mistake to invade an ally. It would be catastrophic to our allies and everything. It's just the worst idea ever in my view."

Bacon further attacked Trump for standing up to NATO countries, saying, "You don't treat allies that way."

"You do that with Russia or China, Iran, but don't treat your best friends like a piece of S-H-I-T. That's what he's doing. I think it's totally wrong to treat your best friends like this and bully them," he added.

Man in a blazer presenting a segment titled "The World of Make Believe" against a vibrant orange background with colorful graphics.

Jesse Kelly of “The First” this week discussed the delusion of the Democrat party when it involves the issue of deportation and ICE agents. He explained the propaganda and how it fuels their radical ideology.

Kelly explained that according to a recent poll, a vast majority of the voter base of the Democrat party, about 70 percent, wants to abolish ICE.

He went on to explain that when the numbers are that high, that is what the party becomes. The legacy media, corporate culture, sports, and the University systems all push for this leftist thinking. He explained that for any of these people to see another point of view, they would be required to search it out themselves. Unfortunately, that has not been the case for them.

“Let’s assume this poll for the sake of argument is anywhere close to being accurate, and it probably was, given the sample size of it,” Kelly said.

“Abolishing ICE has 70 plus percent approval rating in the Democrat party. I’m not talking about politicians. I’m talking about Democrats. The Democrats in your life, Democrats you meet,” Kelly said.

“When you get to a point with any political party in any country, on any issue, where the base, the voter, is 70 percent in favor of something, that is the party,” Kelly warned.

“No Democrat politician can stand for ICE when 70 percent of their voting base is for abolishing ICE,” Kelly explained.

“Wherever you are, deporting people who are in your country illegally, that’s just how you run a country,” Kelly continued.

“When that’s basic common sense, why don’t Democrats think that way? And it’s not one or two. How is it possible that the vast majority of Democrats don’t think that way?” Kelly asked.

“I’m trying to save you frustration because I get that sense a lot from people on the right that they are very frustrated in their dealings with Democrats and their dealings with the left,” Kelly said.

“Democrats live in a world of make-believe. It’s a world that is not real,” Kelly said.

“You have to face, you have to listen to, you have to watch left-wing communist opinion all day, every day. Why? Well, that’s the corporate media,” Kelly said.

“It’s the ideology of the university system, of Hollywood,” Kelly continued.

Kelly explained that the left is not exposed to conservative thought unless they seek it out on their own.

“If you are a Democrat, if you are a communist, you don’t ever have to hear from a right-winger,” Kelly said.

“You have to go seek them out. It’s not going to be spoon-fed to you by society, therefore Democrats can reside in a world of make-believe, and not even know it,” Kelly explained.

Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger signs day-one executive orders

Newly sworn-in Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger, as one of her first actions in the governor’s office on Saturday, implemented a sanctuary state policy, ending local police cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

Spanberger was sworn in as the 75th Governor of Virginia on Saturday.

WATCH:

Later in the afternoon, Spanberger signed ten executive orders, including one that ended Virginia’s cooperation with federal law enforcement. Her new executive order rescinded an order by her predecessor, Glenn Youngkin, that required state police to participate in the federal 287(g) program and enforce ICE detainer requests for illegal aliens in custody. The order further gave police the authority to assist ICE with apprehensions and created a “State Police Task Force of federally deputized troopers to assist in the identification and apprehension of criminal illegal immigrants who pose a risk to public safety throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia.”

Now, Virginia will just release illegal aliens who are convicted of crimes back onto the streets.

“State and local law enforcement should not be required to divert their limited resources to enforce federal civil immigration laws. It is a responsibility of federal law enforcement,” Spanberger said before signing the order. “Virginia state and local law enforcement officers must be able to focus on their rapport, responsibilities, investigating crime, and community policing.”

WATCH:

Spanberger: This executive order rescinds Executive Order Number 47. State and local law enforcement should not be required to divert their limited resources to enforce federal civil immigration laws. It is a responsibility of federal law enforcement. Virginia state and local law enforcement officers must be able to focus on their rapport, responsibilities, investigating crime, and community policing.

Spanberger also used her inauguration speech to bash the Trump administration, accusing the White House of “sowing fear across our communities.”

Per Fox:

Spanberger, who handily defeated Republican Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears in November and takes over for Republican Glenn Youngkin, told a crowd at the State Capitol that, “I know many of you are worried about the recklessness coming out of Washington.”

“You are worried about policies that are hurting our communities, cutting health care access, imperiling rural hospitals and driving up costs. You are worried about Washington policies that are closing off markets, hurting innovation and private industry, and attacking those who have devoted their lives to public service,” Spanberger said.

“You are worried about an administration that is gilding buildings while schools crumble, breaking, breaking, breaking the social safety net and sowing fear across our communities, betraying the values of who we are as Americans, the very values that we celebrate here on these steps,” she continued.

“And across the Commonwealth, everything keeps getting a bit more expensive. Groceries, medicine, day care, the electricity bill, rent and the mortgage. Families are strained, kids are stressed, and so much just seems to be getting harder and harder,” Spanberger added.

She then said, “Growing up, my parents always taught me that when faced with something unacceptable, you must speak up.”

Spanberger further called on her radical left voters to “take action.”

Christian Ministry Gets Major Win as Court Supports Right to Hire Like-Minded Employees

Christian Ministry Gets Major Win as Court Supports Right to Hire Like-Minded Employees

Christian Ministry Gets Major Win as Court Supports Right to Hire Like-Minded Employees
January 17, 2026

Close-up of a wooden gavel and sound block on a courtroom table, symbolizing justice and legal proceedings.

A Christian ministry in Washington state won its case in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday with respect to a law threatening its ability to hire like-minded people.

Yakima Union Gospel Mission, a homeless shelter in the central portion of the state, only hires employees with shared beliefs on biblical marriage and sexuality, according to the Alliance Defending Freedom, which represented the ministry in court.

The ministry serves people without respect to their beliefs, but in terms of their staff, they only hire like-minded Christians.

But that practice was challenged by a Washington state law threatening “significant penalties and liability for hiring only those who share its religious beliefs and convictions,” per the ADF.

The 9th Circuit nevertheless recognized the right of Yakima Union Gospel Mission to continue their hiring practices under the First Amendment.

“If a religious organization’s hiring of co-religionists for non-ministerial positions rests on its sincerely held religious beliefs, then the church autonomy doctrine forbids government interference with that hiring decision,” the 9th Circuit concluded.

ADF Senior Counsel Jeremiah Galus, who argued before the court, commended the decision.

“Religious organizations shouldn’t be punished for exercising their constitutionally protected freedom to hire employees who are aligned with and live out their shared religious beliefs,” Galus remarked.

“Yakima Union Gospel Mission exists to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through its homeless shelter, addiction-recovery programs, outreach efforts, meal services, and health clinics,” he added.

“The 9th Circuit correctly ruled that the First Amendment protects the mission’s freedom to hire fellow believers who share that calling.”

The Christian Post reported that the Washington law bans hiring discrimination with respect to so-called sexual orientation and gender identity, creating tension with biblical teaching on such matters.

Yakima Union Gospel Mission requires employees to abstain from “any sexual conduct outside of biblical marriage between one man and one woman.”

The litigation in the case dates back to 2023, when a district court initially dismissed the lawsuit.

The 9th Circuit ultimately concluded that “the First and Fourteenth Amendments permit hierarchical religious organizations to establish their own rules and regulations for internal discipline and government.”

That means “the Constitution requires that civil courts accept their decisions as binding upon them.”

Brawl in Val Thorens – Screengrab Social Media X.

Violence everywhere.

The disturbing trend of accelerating societal collapse in Europe is not limited to the nefarious influence of the millions of military-age male invaders (a.k.a. ‘asylum seekers’).

Even in supposedly ‘elite’ surroundings the flame of violence only needs a little spark to burn hot.

Case in point: tourists in a ski resort in the French Alps got into a nasty fight as snowboarders and a skier traded blow after a collision on the piste.

To reinforce just how elite is the setting, the brawl was captured not by a humble cellphone video, but by a witness’ smart glasses.

The New York Post reported:

“Footage captured by Renan Vitor, 32, through his Ray-Ban Meta glasses, shows the crash taking place at Val Thorens before an argument erupted.

Renan said the fight began when a skier ran over a snowboarder, sparking a furious response from the snowboarder’s friends.”

WATCH:

We can see the skier wielding a broken ski pole while shouting at the group.

“The footage then cuts to a snowboarder chasing him down and kicking him, before a second person runs up to the skier and takes a huge swing at his face, knocking him to the floor.”

Daily Mail reported:

“The brawl raged for around ten minutes before security from a nearby venue stepped in, followed by the French Gendarmerie.”

No arrests were made.

“Renan, a public administrator from Madrid, Spain, said: ‘At first, I couldn’t believe what was happening.

‘I tried to intervene after taking off my skis, but it was too dangerous. Some of them had ski poles and were kicking with their boots’.”
