A week-long pause in Russian combined drone-missile air strikes on Ukrainian cities is good news.

The peace negotiations are slowly advancing, but the final issue of territorial concessions by Kiev seems impossible to deal with.

In the meantime, the scale of Russian destruction of Ukrainian power plants and energy grids is unprecedented.

With the historic low temperatures in both Russia and Ukraine, U.S. President Donald J Trump’ announcement that Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to ‘not fire on Kyiv for a week due to cold weather’ is very good news.

Reuters reported:

“’I personally asked President Putin not to fire into Kyiv and various towns for a week, and he agreed to do that’, Trump said at a Cabinet meeting, citing ‘extraordinary cold’ in the region.

‘It was very nice. A lot of people said, ‘Don’t waste the call, you’re not going to get that.’ And he did it’, Trump added.”

But a Ukrainian official was initially skeptical, telling Axios: ‘Only the reality itself can prove it. We will see how tonight goes’.”

Polar bears living around Norway’s Arctic archipelago of Svalbard are getting “fatter and healthier” despite allegedly melting ice caps, according to new scientific research.

For years, scientists and climate change alarmists have warned that declining ice coverage would sharply reduce hunting opportunities for polar bears, leading to poorer health and falling populations.

However, long-term monitoring of bears in the Svalbard region suggests a different outcome.

Researchers analysed 1,188 records from 770 adult polar bears collected between 1992 and 2019.

After a brief decline in the mid-1990s, both male and female bears showed increases in body weight and fat reserves, indicating improved overall condition.

Scientists have reported some rare good news from the Arctic. As the climate changes and the ice melts, in one region at least, polar bears are thriving — finding new ways to survive, and even packing on the pounds.

Those behind the study, which was published in Scientific Reports, believe this trend may be linked to changes in available food sources.

Reindeer, walruses, and harbour seals, once heavily hunted by humans, have recovered in number following conservation measures, providing alternative prey.

In addition, reduced sea ice may be concentrating seals into smaller areas, making them easier for bears to hunt during periods when ice is present.

Jon Aars of the Norwegian Polar Institute, one of the study’s authors, said the results were unexpected given the scale of ice loss.

“The fatter a bear is, the better it is,” he explained.

“And I would have expected to see a decline in body condition when the loss of sea ice has been so profound.”

“There are a lot more walruses around [for them to hunt] these days,” he continued. “It is also possible that they are able to hunt seals more efficiently.”

Over the past two decades, bears in the region have had access to sea ice for roughly two months less per year than previously, yet adult body condition has improved rather than declined.

There are approximately 2,650 polar bears in the Barents Sea region, and researchers found no evidence of a population decline.

Mothers appear to be raising cubs successfully, and survival rates among younger bears remain stable.

Another far-left, hate-filled nurse has lost their Florida nursing license.

Earlier this week, Erik Martindale, a registered Florida nurse said he won’t give anesthesia for “MAGA” undergoing surgery after Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse, was fatally shot by DHS agents.

Martindale smugly said it is his right and ethical to deny Trump supporters.

“I will not perform anesthesia for any surgeries or procedures for MAGA. It is my right, it is my ethical oath, and I stand behind my education. I own all of my businesses and I can refuse anyone!” Martindale said in a social media post following Alex Pretti’s death.

After major backlash, Martindale panicked and laughably claimed his Facebook and Facebook messenger were hacked.

On Thursday, Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier said Erik Martindale is no longer a registered nurse in Florida.

“Healthcare is not contingent on political beliefs, and we have zero tolerance for partisans who put politics above their ethical duty to treat patients with the respect and dignity they deserve,” Uthmeier said.

Martindale is the latest nurse to lose his license.

The nurse who was fired for wishing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt suffer a severe 4th degree tear during childbirth has also been stripped of her nursing license in Florida.

On Wednesday, AG Uthmeier announced that Lexie Lawler is no longer allowed to practice nursing in Florida.

Florida Attorney General Dr. Ladapo suspended Lawler’s nursing license.

“Making statements that wish pain and suffering on anyone, when those statements are directly related to one’s practice, is an ethical red line we should not cross,” Uthmeier said.

Last week Hunter Biden’s baby mama, Lunden Roberts, asked an Arkansas judge to jail Hunter for failing to pay child support.

Roberts accused Hunter Biden of ghosting his daughter, Navy Joan Roberts.

Hunter Biden has a 7-year-old daughter, Navy Joan, with former DC stripper Lunden Roberts.

For years, Joe Biden refused to acknowledge Hunter Biden’s lovechild with Roberts.

In 2023, Lunden Roberts agreed to lower Hunter Biden’s $20,000 per month child support payments to $5,000 per month.

As part of the agreement, Hunter Biden was to meet his daughter, Navy Joan.

In last week’s court filing, Lunden Roberts told the judge that Hunter Biden has failed to follow through with his agreement to pay her $5,000 per month in support payments.

Additionally, Hunter Biden still has not met his daughter and his refusal to see her is causing emotional distress for the child.

Lunden Roberts asked the judge to “incarcerate” Hunter Biden until he complies with the court order.

This week Hunter Biden hit back at Lunden Roberts in a court filing and says it doesn’t matter that he “ghosted” his daughter.

Hunter Biden says it doesn’t matter that he has “ghosted” his 7-year-old daughter with ex-stripper Lunden Roberts because he never agreed to be a part of her life, according to a stone-hearted new legal filing.

The 55-year-old former first son argued Tuesday in new court papers that the contentious Arkansas child support case for daughter Navy Joan Roberts shouldn’t be reopened after he and his baby mama settled in 2023.

But Roberts, 34, earlier this month said Hunter should be jailed for failing to uphold his end of the bargain, claiming he’s refusing to talk to Navy and not giving her pieces of his artwork before it dramatically plunged in value after his dad left office.

Hunter said he never agreed to a date by which his paintings had to be turned over to Navy, the filing claims.

“Even if no paintings had been given to the Child to date, such would not violate the Order, because as long as thirty paintings are assigned to the Child by Defendant will have complied with the Order,” Langdon wrote.
