Senator Markwayne Mullin was on Newsmax with host Tom Basile on Saturday to discuss the events unfolding in Iran.

“Your initial reaction to Operation Epic Fury?” Basile asked.

“First of all, I want to speak directly to the Iranian people and let them know this is your time. This is your time to rise up and take your country back from the Ayatollah that has been pillaging your beautiful country,” Mullin said.

“This is a time for you to go back to what you were prior to the Ayatollah coming into power in 1979. We had a good relationship with Iran,” Mullin continued.

“This is your time. We can’t fight your fight for you,” Mullin said.

“President Trump was very, very clear on what he said. If you lay down your arms and start fighting for your country again, not for the Ayatollah, you have complete amnesty,” Mullin said.

Senator Mullin explained that the Ayatollah (and predecessor) has been a threat to the US for 47 years. Their regime has attacked Americans and American interests and regularly chants “death to America.”

“As far as this operation goes, this is a long time coming. Since 1979, for 47 years, the Ayatollah and his murderous regime has been chanting death to America. They have attacked us on multiple occasions,” Mullin said.

“We’ve had Presidents after President, after President turned a blind eye to them, but they weren’t going away. They were becoming more and more emboldened,” Mullin continued.

Senator Mullin explained that the threat that the Iranian regime posed to the US and world economy was real and that President Trump’s strength and resolve would eliminate the threat.

“The amount of destabilization they can do to the world economy because of the amount of oil that is shipped through there. The shipping lanes that they are proxy to. It could have huge disruption on the world economy plus the United States economy,” Mullin explained.

“Thank God that President Trump has the fortitude and the backbone to say we are not going to put up with it,” Mullin said.

“He wanted diplomacy to work. It didn’t work, and so now he is having to turn to strength, and we will eliminate the threat that will no longer be able to threaten American assets abroad and home,” Mullin continued.

Trump was in his war room at Mar-a-Lago when the strikes took place.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was confirmed dead after the strikes.

“We gotta go work. I gotta go to work!” he added while secretly planning to oversee the military operation.

Iran’s Supreme Leader and more than 40 top Iranian leaders were killed in the US-Israel military operation on Saturday.

More than 200 people were killed and nearly 800 people were injured in the military strikes.

“More than 40 senior Iranian security and regime figures were killed in the opening strikes this morning. This is one of the largest regime “decapitation operations” conducted in modern warfare history, the official added. Israeli intelligence managed to infiltrate the Iranian security echelon, making the strikes possible, the official explained,” Fox News reported.

Khamenei, one of the most evil people in History, is dead. This is not only Justice for the people of Iran, but for all Great Americans, and those people from many Countries throughout the World, that have been killed or mutilated by Khamenei and his gang of bloodthirsty THUGS.

He was unable to avoid our Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems and, working closely with Israel, there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do. This is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country.

We are hearing that many of their IRGC, Military, and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us. As I said last night, “Now they can have Immunity, later they only get Death!” Hopefully, the IRGC and Police will peacefully merge with the Iranian Patriots, and work together as a unit to bring back the Country to the Greatness it deserves.

President Trump confirmed that the joint US-Israel operation in Iran killed Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in his first statement since he announced the attack early on Saturday morning. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported earlier, Trump spoke briefly by phone with Axios and threatened to “go long and take over the whole thing.”

He said his other option is to “end it in two or three days and tell the Iranians: ‘See you again in a few years if you start rebuilding [your nuclear and missile programs].”

Fox News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst reported earlier on the death of Khamenei, adding that "Israelis say they are still striking targets inside Iran."

Shortly after 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, Trump posted confirmation that the Ayatollah is dead, crediting the United States's "Intelligence and Highly Sophisticated Tracking Systems" and noting that "there was not a thing he, or the other leaders that have been killed along with him, could do." Dozens of top Iranian officials were also killed.

"This is the single greatest chance for the Iranian people to take back their Country. We are hearing that many of their IRGC, Military, and other Security and Police Forces, no longer want to fight, and are looking for Immunity from us," Trump added, noting that he "obliterated" the country.

Earlier, Trump encouraged the Iranian people to seize control of their government.

“When we are finished, take over your government. It will be yours to take,” Trump said to the people of Iran in a video statement. “This will probably be your only chance for generations. For many years, you have asked for America’s help, but you never got it. No president was willing to do what I am willing to do tonight.”
