Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts has just endorsed Graham Platner, who is running for a U.S. Senate seat in Maine.

Platner, whose political views align with Bernie Sanders, has been in the news for months now because he had a literal Nazi tattoo on his chest for years and made all kinds of problematic statements on Reddit in the past. Once the tattoo controversy became trouble for his campaign, he had it covered up with something else.

Elizabeth Warren apparently has no problem with any of this, because he’s a Democrat.

Warren endorses Platner in Maine Senate race

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) on Thursday endorsed oyster farmer Graham Platner over Maine Gov. Janet Mills (D) in the Democratic primary to take on Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) this fall — the fourth senator to back the populist candidate.

“He’s a combat veteran, an oyster farmer, and has inspired people with his populist agenda for a government on the side of working families––not the billionaires and giant corporations,” Warren said in a statement shared by Platner’s campaign.

“Graham will fight every single day to make life better for the people of Maine in the United States Senate,” she added. “I’m proud to endorse him.”

Platner in his own statement called it “an honor” to have the progressive senator’s support and described her as “an inspiration.”

Warren has no problem with Platner’s Nazi tattoo, but back in January of 2025 when Pete Hegseth was being confirmed as Secretary of War, she called his Christian tattoos symbols of right wing extremism.

The New York Post reported:

Despite religious scholars later countering that the Deus Vult is often considered a common Christian symbol, Warren contended that the fact that his superiors were concerned about the tattoo raises questions about whether he could be the Pentagon chief.

“You were also removed from President Biden’s inauguration because of concerns that you were an insider threat after reports that your ‘Deus Vult’ tattoo ‘was a Christian expression associated with right-wing extremism,’” she wrote to Hegseth.

“We cannot have a Defense Secretary whose fellow servicemembers feel concerned enough about to report as a potential insider threat.”

Elizabeth Warren does all of this with a straight face because she’s a liar, but you already knew that.

Russia Today correspondent Steve Sweeney and cameraman Ali Rida were nearly struck by an Israeli missile on Thursday while reporting from Southern Lebanon. 

The outlet described the incident as “a DELIBERATE TARGETED ATTACK on journalists.”

“There’s no mistake about it,” they said. “This was an Israeli precision strike FROM A FIGHTER JET — RT corr Steve Sweeney who was wounded earlier today.”

While reporting on the ground, the missile could be heard approaching before landing right behind him as he braced for cover. “F*cking hell,” he exclaimed after the massive blast.

Here’s the moment a British reporter from Russian state broadcaster RT narrowly escaped serious injury or death when an Israeli missile landed just meters away from his reporting position.

RT, formerly Russia Today, said Steve Sweeney, its Lebanon bureau chief, and his cameraman had “miraculously survived” and were being treated in hospital. The footage, which has been verified by outlets including the BBC, shows the missile landing and Sweeney hitting the deck in a shower of shrapnel before uttering expletives.

There have been ongoing Israeli air strikes and ground operations in southern Lebanon as Israel and the U.S. continue to strike Iran and its allies in the Middle East.

Lebanese authorities say that close to 1,000 people have been killed and one million displaced since Israeli air strikes and incursions began in the country earlier this month in response to Hezbollah rockets fired into Israel after the U.S. and Israel’s attack on Iran.

Russia Today editor in-chief Margarita Simonyan said in an X post, “Our correspondent Steve Sweeney has been wounded by an Israeli strike in Lebanon. He says an IDF plane fired upon the car carrying Steve and his cameraman, as they were crossing a bridge in the south of the country. Both men are conscious in hospital, doctors are diagnosing extent of shrapnel damage.”

The Israeli Defense Force responded with a statment, writing, “In footage released in the past few hours, a journalist is seen at the Qasmiya crossing. An explicit warning had been issued regarding this area. The crossing was struck after sufficient time had passed since warnings. The crossing was again targeted today [Thursday] at 12:30. The IDF does not target civilians or journalists and operates in accordance with international law.”

It can be recalled that RINO Warmonger Lindsey Graham previously demanded that President Trump “join Israel to attack Hezbollah” after Secretary of State Marco Rubio briefed lawmakers on the Iran operations earlier this month.

The nerve of a judge to deport an illegal immigrant who held the lofty status of a staff member for the New York City Council has left New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in high dudgeon.

Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez, a data analyst for the council, will be deported to Venezuela. The Department of Homeland Security said Rubio overstayed his 2017 tourist visa, has an arrest for assault, and does not possess work authorization, CBS News noted.

Mamdani argued his version of reality should take precedence over the law.

“Today, an administrative immigration judge ordered the deportation of Rafael Rubio, a City Council employee. This is an affront to justice,” Mamdani posted on X.

“A dedicated public servant with legal authorization to remain in the country, Rafael showed up for a routine immigration appointment and, despite following the rules, he was detained and has now been held for months. He should be immediately released,” Mamdani wrote.

After Wednesday’s ruling,  a Department of Homeland Security representative said, “Today, an immigration judge ordered Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and an employee of New York’s City Council a final order of removal,” according to CBS

“His criminal history includes an arrest for assault. This ruling is a victory for the rule of law. ICE will work as quickly as possible to return this criminal to his home country,” the DHS statement said.

New York State Attorney General Letitia James, however, disagreed. “This deportation order is outrageous … He followed the law. He should be released,” she said.

City Council Speaker Julie Menin said deportation was the wrong response to a trivial paperwork issue.

She said the judge “deemed Rafael’s asylum application, quote unquote, ‘abandoned’ based on a technical issue related to a missing signature. The judge refused to allow the issue to be corrected.”

“That is not justice. That is an extreme, cruel, inhumane outcome based on a technical procedural issue,” Menin said.

Rubio Bohorquez plans to appeal the ruling at the Board of Immigration Appeals, Menin said, according to the New York Post.

He will also file a motion to have his case reopened, Menin said.

Rubio Bohorquez has been in jail since his January arrest. He has demanded his release in a lawsuit filed in federal court, but federal judge John Cronan has not ordered his release.

The staffer had been employed by the city council for about a year, according to Fox News.

Vice President JD Vance shared his thoughts on the resignation of National Counterterrorism Center Director Joe Kent.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Joe Kent resigned as the Director of the National Counterterrorism Center in a lengthy resignation letter that claimed the United States was pressured to begin the Iran war by Israel.

Vice President JD Vance, on Wednesday, while giving a speech at a manufacturing facility in Michigan, shared that he knew Kent “a little bit” and liked him.

However, Vance went on to say that it was a good thing for Kent to resign.

Vance stated, “If you are on the team and you can’t help implement the decisions of his administration, he has the right to make those decisions, then it’s a good thing for you to resign.”

Vance acknowledged he knows and likes Kent, and the Trump appreciates hearing different opinions.

“That said, whatever your view is, when the president of the United States makes a decision, it’s your job to help make that decision as effective and successful as possible,” the vice president said.

“The president said this yesterday, if you are on the team and you can’t help implement the decisions of his administration, he has the right to make those decisions, then it’s a good thing for you to resign,” Vance continued. “And I think that’s exactly right. It’s fine to disagree, but once the president makes a decision, it’s up to everybody who serves in his administration to make it as successful as possible. That’s how I do my job and I think that’s how everybody in the administration should do their job, too.”

Vance’s comments in Michigan were the first from the vice president on Kent’s resignation on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, President Trump shared his thoughts on Kent, calling him “very weak on security.”
