The Trump administration released the official plans Friday for a 250-foot triumphal arch to be located near the Arlington Memorial Bridge in Washington, D.C.

The arch, which will sit across the Potomac River from the Lincoln Memorial, will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding.

“The drawings were submitted to the Commission of Fine Arts, a federal design panel that President Trump has stacked with allies. It will consider the project’s design at its meeting next week,” The New York Times reported.

According to the plans, the white marble arch will have a winged golden Lady Liberty statue on top, flanked by two bald eagles, also gold in color.

The arch will have the words “One Nation Under God” inscribed near the top.

Trump displayed a model of the proposed arch at a White House fundraising dinner in October, along with his plans for a $400 million ballroom.

It appeared to have been modeled after the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, which was commissioned by Napoleon to commemorate the victories of the French armies.

The Times noted, “Mr. Trump has taken a number of actions to remake Washington in his image and remodel the White House, including covering the Oval Office in gold and paving the grass of the Rose Garden. The president is also planning a National Garden of American Heroes with 250 statues.”

“But the most dramatic step was his sudden demolition last fall of the White House’s East Wing to make way for his planned 90,000-square-foot ballroom,” the outlet added.

Late last month, a federal judge ruled that construction of the ballroom needed to halt until Trump could obtain congressional approval.

“[U]nless and until Congress blesses this project through statutory authorization, construction has to stop! But here is the good news. It is not too late for Congress to authorize the continued construction of the ballroom project,” U.S. District Judge Richard Leon, a George W. Bush appointee, held.

“The President may at any time go to Congress to obtain express authority to construct a ballroom and to do so with private funds,” the judge added.

When he announced the project last fall, Trump said it would be privately funded.

The Commission of Fine Arts approved the ballroom on Feb. 19, and the National Capital Planning Commission followed suit last week.

A day before the judge’s ruling, Trump pointed out that the military is constructing a “massive complex” under the new ballroom.

“The ballroom essentially becomes a shed for what’s being built [by] the military, including from drones and including from any other thing,” he said.

The Trump administration has appealed Leon’s ruling.

Rep. Eric Swalwell, the frontrunner in the Democrat primary for California governor, is facing explosive new accusations of sexual misconduct from a total of four women, including a former staffer who claims he raped her twice.

The allegations of the former staffer, who was the first to come forward, were initially reported by the San Francisco Chronicle.

After the initial article was published, three additional women spoke to CNN and provided evidence about alleged additional misconduct.

The explosive allegations come just weeks before California’s June primary and prompted immediate calls from Democrat leaders, including Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff, for Swalwell to drop out of the race.

The most serious claims come from an unnamed former congressional staffer who began working for Swalwell as a 20-year-old intern on his 2019 presidential campaign and later served in his district and Washington, D.C., offices.

She told the San Francisco Chronicle and CNN that Swalwell had nonconsensual sexual contact with her on two occasions while she was black out drunk.

In 2019, she says she woke up naked in his hotel room with no memory of what happened.

In 2024, years after she left his employment, she alleges that Swalwell raped her.

The woman said she was “pushing him off of me, saying no… He didn’t stop,” and that he left her bruised and bleeding.

Her account is corroborated by text messages, interviews with relatives and a friend, and medical records showing she sought STD and pregnancy testing afterward.

Our country once believed in the principle of innocent until proven guilty.

Unfortunately for people on the left, like Eric Swalwell, they will have to sleep in the bed that they made. For years any accusation of sexual misconduct was believed at face value, no matter how baseless.

The left told us that no one would ever lie about such a thing and anyone who believed in the presumption of innocence was a “rape apologist.”

And today, news arose that Russia has also declared Stanford University to be ‘undesirable’ and banned it.

“The country’s Justice Ministry added the prestigious California institution to the register of organizations whose activities are considered undesirable, the Interfax news service reported on Friday. The move followed a decision by the Prosecutor-General’s Office, it said, without elaborating.

Russia has declared more than 200 foreign organizations including Yale University, Amnesty International and the British Council to be ‘undesirable’, as part of a broad crackdown on influence and ideas from outside the country since it began the full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.”

“In July, Yale was declared ‘undesirable’, with the Prosecutor General’s Office saying the Connecticut institution’s activities were aimed at ‘violating the territorial integrity of Russia’.”

Moscow Times reported:

“Under Russian law, individuals affiliated with an ‘undesirable’ entity — including students — can face up to four years in prison, while organizers can be sentenced to up to six years.

Neither the Justice Ministry nor the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office provided explanations for the designations.

Also on Friday, the Justice Ministry added Stanford’s Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) and the Crisis Simulation for Peace (CRISP), a German non-profit, to its list of ‘undesirable’ organizations.”

Pennsylvania Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt (R) has confirmed that hundreds of non-citizens were found registered to vote, and in some cases casting ballots, in the Keystone State.

The revelation comes on top of a much larger pool of 11,198 voters who were previously flagged for eligibility concerns, triggering renewed scrutiny over how such discrepancies were allowed to persist in a critical swing state.

According to Spotlight PA, Schmidt’s own investigation as former Philadelphia City Commissioner uncovered a disastrous PennDOT motor-voter glitch that let 168 non-citizens in Philly register through the automatic system (required by federal law but botched beyond belief), plus another 52 registered by other shady means. These non-citizens didn’t just sit on the rolls, they cast a total of 227 votes across multiple elections!

And that’s just Philadelphia. Statewide, back in 2018, officials sent confirmation letters to 11,198 voters flagged as potential non-citizens after matching driver’s license data with immigration records.

Some were removed, but the state still admits they don’t have an exact count of how many illegals slipped through. This scandal traces back to the mid-1990s, meaning generations of non-citizens have been diluting the votes of real American citizens in the Keystone State!

Despite this, Schmidt has stopped short of embracing what many Americans see as very real and growing threats—particularly when it comes to noncitizen voting. Instead, he continues to emphasize a so-called “balance” between election security and voter access.

“I’ve always heard my whole life, even though I grew up in Western Pennsylvania, about concerns about voter fraud and voting irregularities in Philadelphia elections,” Schmidt told Votebeat and Spotlight PA in a recent interview. “So I wanted to be able to sort out fact from fiction.”

As The Gateway Pundit has repeatedly documented, Pennsylvania’s election system has been a disaster for years.

We’ve covered the non-citizen motor-voter fiasco since at least 2017-2018, when Schmidt himself testified about potentially tens of thousands of matches between non-citizen driver’s licenses and voter registrations.

Public Interest Legal Foundation lawsuits and analyses pointed to over 100,000 potential non-citizen registrations at one point. Yet Democrats in Harrisburg , under Gov. Josh Shapiro, continue to drag their feet.

Schmidt’s own office has resisted turning over full voter data to the Trump DOJ for citizenship verification, hiding behind “privacy” excuses even as the feds push for SAVE database checks.

“Justice Shaina Leonard’s ruling on Friday afternoon also prevents Stay Free Alberta, the group behind the petition, from referring the matter to Justice Minister Mickey Amery once signatures are submitted.

The decision follows an application from two of three First Nations groups who say they believe the petition process threatens treaty rights. The Athabasca Chipewyan First Nation (ACFN) and the Blackfoot Confederacy have been seeking a stay on the petition campaign pending a final ruling.”

Alberta’s lawyers told an Edmonton court Thursday that collecting signatures for a separation referendum doesn’t violate treaty rights and no duty to consult has arisen yet.

Leonard found the applicants met the low threshold of establishing arguable issues that are neither frivolous nor vexatious. These include whether the Crown breached its duty to consult and whether provisions of Alberta’s Citizen Initiative Act are unconstitutional.”
