Multiple Democrat lawmakers in the Minnesota House of Representatives yelled “go f-cking shoot yourself” at Republican Rep. Elliott Engen as they staged a dramatic sit-in on the House floor to force a vote on one of the most aggressive gun control packages in the country.

The meltdown took place on Thursday, after the House deadlocked 67-67 along party lines on a procedural vote to bring the Senate-passed gun control omnibus bill, House File 5140, to the floor for debate.

Democrats responded by refusing to leave the chamber and staging a sit-in, demanding an immediate vote on the sweeping legislation that has been called the “most extreme gun-grabbing bill in the country.”

During the meltdown, Rep. Aisha Gomez shouted at Rep. Engen to shoot himself.

Republican state Rep. Drew Roach described the Democrats’ behavior as “completely UNHINGED” in a post on X, calling the attack on Engen “deranged, toxic, and downright dangerous” from the same lawmakers pushing to disarm citizens.

Roach wrote:

This isn’t debate. This isn’t passion. This is deranged, toxic, and downright dangerous behavior from the same people who want to strip law-abiding Minnesotans of their constitutional rights.

No class. No decency. Just pure meltdown when they’re challenged on disarming citizens while criminals roam free.”

Rep. Engen confirmed the vile comments on X, and that it was not only one Democrat lawmaker, writing, “Can confirm. Didn’t have multiple Democrat colleagues yelling at me to ‘go f’ing shoot myself’ on my bingo card…”

Republicans have blocked the bill, pointing out that it would criminalize legal firearm ownership while doing little to address criminals who already ignore existing laws.

If passed, HF5140 would:

• Ban the ownership, possession, and sale of semiautomatic “military-style assault weapons” (broadly defined to include many modern sporting rifles).
• Prohibit magazines capable of holding more than 17 rounds.
• Criminalize the manufacture and possession of “ghost guns” (unserialized, privately made firearms).
• Reenact the ban on binary triggers.
• Expand Minnesota’s extreme risk protection order (red flag) law.
• Tighten rules on negligent firearm storage and possession of dangerous weapons in schools.
• Modify reporting requirements for law enforcement firearm discharges.
• Add new restrictions that critics say would limit lawful self-defense rights.

The legislation also appropriates money for implementation and includes other miscellaneous gun-safety provisions.

No formal statements or press releases have been issued yet by House Democratic leadership or Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman regarding the incident.

Tennessee Democrats are having meltdowns after Republicans approved a new congressional map that could give the GOP a 9-0 sweep of the state’s House delegation.

The controversy centers on Memphis, where Tennessee’s majority-Black, Democrat-held 9th Congressional District has been split into three Republican-leaning districts. 

Democrats responded with their usual playbook: scream racism, invoke Jim Crow, and pretend one political party has a constitutional right to own a congressional district forever.

During the latest episode of The Patriot Perspective, the hosts argued that Democrats are using race as a political shield because they cannot defend the map on normal partisan terms.

“They are acting very entitled, like they deserve a district because of their race,” one host said during the episode. 

“You can divide Americans based on race. You can divide Americans based on gender. You can divide Americans based on religion, ethnicity, age, or even sexuality. You can divide Americans in any way you want. But what makes America great is that we don’t look at those factors. We look at Americans based on the fact that they are Americans.”

That is exactly the point Democrats do not want to confront. Redistricting is politics. Both parties do it. 

Democrats have spent years defending aggressively drawn maps when those maps benefit them. But when Republicans target a safe Democrat seat, the left suddenly claims democracy itself is being dismantled.

The outrage became even more ridiculous inside the Tennessee Capitol. As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Democrat lawmakers protested the map with chants, demonstrations, and disruptions. 

One Democrat lawmaker reportedly stood on a desk, displayed a banner reading “Jim Crow 2.0,” and sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”

The comparison is absurd.

Jim Crow was a legal system of racial segregation, intimidation, and civil rights violations. Redrawing a congressional district to weaken a Democrat seat is not Jim Crow. 

Calling every political loss “Jim Crow” cheapens American history and exposes how dependent Democrats have become on racial panic.

As the episode explained, the logic does not stop with race. If Democrats claim a majority-Black district cannot be redrawn because doing so is racist, then the same argument could be made for any religious, ethnic, or cultural group concentrated in one district. Jewish voters could claim redistricting is antisemitic. Muslim voters could claim it is Islamophobic. Any group could demand permanent political protection from ordinary mapmaking.

That is identity politics written into election law.

The real reason Democrats are furious is simple: the new map threatens their power. 

Tennessee has nine congressional districts. Under the new lines, the Memphis-based Democrat seat could become Republican-leaning, giving the GOP a chance to win every House seat in the state.

Democrats know what that means. They may lose a seat they assumed was theirs.

Instead of admitting the fight is about political control, Democrats are trying to make voters believe the Tennessee GOP is resurrecting segregation. 

The left views Americans as voting blocs first and citizens second. Republicans should reject that premise completely. Congressional districts should not exist to guarantee one party’s power because a demographic group usually votes for that party.

Tennessee Republicans are playing hardball. Democrats are furious because, for once, Republicans are not apologizing for it.

Just in time for America’s 250th birthday celebrations, the liberal Associated Press is suddenly floating the idea of gun control for muskets.

They’re not coming right out and saying it, of course. What they have done is drop an article that basically says: Hey America, did you know that muskets are not regulated like other guns? Their purpose here is so obvious.

The liberal left has never heard of a form of gun control that they didn’t like.

The Daily Caller reports:

The Associated Press posted a short video that appeared to highlight what it called a lack of regulation of flintlock muskets Thursday morning.

Under federal law, flintlock muskets fall into the definition of “antique firearms” under the language of 18 USC 921(16), which exempts them from many of the regulations and laws at the federal level, as well as in most states. In a caption for the video posted on X Thursday morning, the AP noted that while a musket could fire a projectile at 1,000 feet per second, it was exempt from gun regulations under federal law.

“When you look at the Congressional Record from 1968, Senator John Tower’s rationale, which involved committee hearing testimonies from gun collectors and other historical organizations, spent a lot of care and effort into identifying that cut-off date,” firearms historian Ashley Hlebinsky told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “He clearly lays out not wanting to burden historians, collectors, gun owners, and museums and dives into a pretty thorough explanation for why he believes the year should be 1898.”

Modern firearms are typically breech-loading weapons that use self-contained metallic cartridges with smokeless powder (or modern propellants) developed primarily after the mid-to-late 19th century, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Black-powder muzzle-loading firearms (often classified as “antiques” under U.S. federal law) are older designs that load loose powder, projectile and wadding from the muzzle end, using ignition systems like flintlock, matchlock or percussion cap.

Under Gavin Newsom, California has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to give electronic devices to prisoners. Can you guess what they’re using them for?

They’re using them to watch porn. Of course they’re using them for porn. Stevie Wonder could have seen this coming.

This is just another reminder that the taxpayers of California are among the most used and abused people in the country. They pay through the nose and this is what it gets them. Not better schools or safer streets. This.

California death row inmates watching porn on taxpayer-funded tablets, evading security controls: report

Condemned prisoners on California’s death row are partly filling their time by watching pornography and engaging in lewd conversations using taxpayer-funded tablets as the state continues its shift toward a Norwegian-inspired approach to rehabilitating criminals, according to reports.

In an effort to connect its prison population to the outside world, California issued around 90,000 tablets to inmates as part of a multimillion-dollar program where incarcerated people could send and receive messages in real time to loved ones amid a push for digital equity.

The devices could also be used, in theory, for educational purposes. However, some have used the devices for more adult endeavors, the California Post reported.

The newspaper spoke with several death row inmates who claimed that users can evade security controls on the devices. Robert Maury, a serial rapist who strangled and killed at least three women in the 1980s, told the newspaper he viewed pornography on his taxpayer-funded digital tablet.

Inmates use the tablets to send nude images and watch porn, he said from a state prison in Stockton. Many watch through a video chat application where an inmate can call someone on the outside who can “put porn on their TV” for the inmate to watch.

Do you think this will come up if Gavin Newsom runs for president? You bet it will.

Cole was set to give a talk at the University of Washington sponsored by Turning Point USA, but was forced to cancel due to alleged threats from Antifa. Ever since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, threats like these must be taken seriously.

Liberals lose their minds if Jimmy Kimmel is inconvenienced in any way. All of a sudden, we’re in a constitutional crisis over free speech. Yet they are nowhere to be found when things like this happen, and they do, all the time.

Detransitioner Chloe Cole cancels UW speech after alleged Antifa threats

Detransitioner Chloe Cole announced Tuesday she is canceling a scheduled University of Washington speech after citing alleged threats from Antifa.

“Antifa has assembled a local militia, in their own words, to shut down this event,” Cole said in a Tuesday video announcement.

“Their actions, their explicit threats on my life, have raised this event to national attention, a level of attention our security team and our PD are frankly unprepared for,” she added.

Cole, a detransitioner who went through the process of transitioning from female to male between the ages of 12 and 16, was set to speak Wednesday at the University of Washington in Kane 210 as part of TPUSA’s “Pick Up the Mic” initiative.

At the age of 15, Cole underwent hormones and a double mastectomy.

In a post on Instagram, UW Divest News, a pro-Palestinian group, urged students to protest the Turning Point USA chapter event with Cole, calling her a “transphobic right-wing grifter.”

The post instructed protesters to “bring flags, drums, or anything to make some noise! Email UW admin to cancel the event and ban Turning Point USA from campus! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE HATE GROUPS ON CAMPUS! WE LOVE OUR TRANS SIBLINGS! FREE PALESTINE! ”

In her video announcement, Cole said she was taking the alleged threats more seriously since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old co-founder of Turning Point USA, was shot and killed on Sept. 10 while he was speaking at an event at Utah Valley University for TPUSA’s American Comeback Tour.
