Rep. Maxine Waters was recently asked by a reporter about old age and who is too old to serve in Congress.

When he gets specific and asks if 100 years old is too old to serve, Waters dodges by suggesting that individual members should be evaluated based on how effective they are. Waters herself is 87 years old.

When asked about Trump, Waters suddenly finds her energy. She stops, looks at the camera and rattles off a laundry list of false talking points about Trump that sound like they were lifted directly from the Occupy Democrats website.

Jacob Wasserman, one of TMZ’s new on-the-ground producers in Washington, DC, caught up with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) on her way into the U.S. Capitol on Thursday and asked the 87-year-old if Congress needs age limits.

“Congresswoman, Jacob with TMZ. How are you?” Wasserman began.

“I’m fine,” replied Waters.

Wasserman continued, “Good to see you. I have a question. I want to ask you something as a whiny Gen Z-er myself. Some people in my generation look at our leaders and think, ‘You know what? Some of these people are too old.’ But as a spry 87-year-old, I just saw you talk at the Working Families press conference. What do you say to people in my generation who think, “Okay, some of these leaders are too old, and we need to do something about it?”

Waters replied, “I usually don’t do press conferences while I’m walking, but let me just say that the way people should think about elected officials is, ‘What do they do? What can you document? What can you give them credit for? What can you criticize them for?’ If you do what it takes to evaluate, then you can decide.”

“Understood, so we shouldn’t judge people based on their age, but rather on what they do for the people,” Wasserman pressed.

George Orwell’s “Big Brother” is alive and well in Communist China, and Fox News host Bret Baier’s crew got an up-close experience with it on Wednesday during President Donald Trump’s visit to Beijing.

“Big Brother is watching. There are literally cameras everywhere … I can count at least 20 on this corner. In fact, in Beijing, they’ve added 1,500 cameras just this year alone. They see everything,” Baier said during a segment about China’s surveillance system.

“There’s nobody jaywalking here, because they could get a ticket right away,” he continued.

“In fact, our driver parked illegally for two minutes, and he got a message on his phone that he got a ticket for about $40 US, because they saw it,” the Fox News anchor recounted.

Baier concluded, “Now, there are real questions what the CCP’s goal is about citizen tracking and social scoring. They say it’s to make everybody feel safe. These cameras are watching every minute. They’re everywhere.”

Li Jingling, a reporter with the state-run China Global Television Network, characterized the Fox News crew’s run-in with the law differently.

“While Fox News is complaining they got a ticket for illegal parking … this is what his team is doing: Beijing residents spotted this and uploaded it to Douyin: Fox News’ Bret Baier filming IN THE MIDDLE of busy traffic,” she posted on X.

As Baier mentioned, communist China has implemented a social credit system that rates citizens. And those deemed not to be compliant are barred from travel, access to certain restaurants, or fast internet — among other punishments, Business Insider reported in 2022.

It would not seem like a far step from that to being unable to buy or sell food, rent an apartment, purchase a home, etc., like something right out of biblical end-times prophecy.

“China’s social credit system incorporates a moral edge into the program, which is why many have compared it to some level of dystopian governance, such as in George Orwell’s ‘1984’ in which the state heavily controls every aspect of a citizen’s life,” Business Insider noted.

The Hoover Institute’s Peter Robinson — who wrote Ronald Reagan’s famous “Tear Down This Wall” speech — observed during a 2024 interview with venture capitalist Peter Thiel, “We have the mechanisms that would make world government, a gigantic global surveillance state … plausible.”

Thiel, who co-founded PayPal as well as Palantir, which develops surveillance systems, agreed.

The tech mogul, who has spoken publicly before about how an Antichrist could come to power, said that fear and modern technology fill in the “plot hole” of biblical prophecies made thousands of years ago by Jesus, Daniel, and the apostles John and Paul about an authoritarian leader who will control the world.

The Senate Parliamentarian on Thursday struck down three key provisions of the Senate’s reconciliation bill

Last month, the House of Representatives passed the Senate-approved package to fund the Department of Homeland Security by voice vote, ending the 75-day shutdown.

ICE and Border Patrol were to be funded separately through a reconciliation package.

Senate Republicans put together a $72 billion reconciliation package to fund ICE and Border Patrol.

On Thursday, Democrat and Republican staffers met with Senate Parliamentarian Elizabeth MacDonough to go through the reconciliation package.

Elizabeth MacDonough, the Obama-era Senate Parliamentarian, struck down key provisions:

Main Border Patrol funding, additional Department of Homeland Security Appropriations, and Border Security, Technology & Screening.

The Republicans have to go back to the Senate Parliamentarian with new language, according to Punchbowl News.

The Senate’s referee decided several provisions in the GOP’s $72 billion spending package would violate Senate rules if they remained in the text, which will likely force Republicans to overhaul the language President Donald Trump wants on his desk by June 1.

In a jaw-dropping, viral takedown during Thursday’s House Judiciary Subcommittee hearing on the dangerous consequences of sanctuary policies, North Carolina Republican Rep. Brad Knott absolutely eviscerated far-left Soros-backed Fairfax County Commonwealth’s Attorney Steve Descano for his disgusting decision to let a Honduran illegal alien child predator walk free after yanking a sleeping 4-year-old American girl out of her bed with the clear intent to sexually assault her.

Fox News reported last year:

On June 15, 2023, Fairfax County Police responded to a home in the 7500 block of Little River Turnpike after receiving a call reporting a burglary and an attempted abduction of a child.

When they arrived, the 4-year-old’s mother said she woke up when she heard her daughter crying and saw the window in her room had been opened. The child told her mother someone grabbed her and then ran away.

Investigators say a fingerprint led them to Baquedano-Rodriguez who was arrested the following day.

ICE officials said Baquedano-Rodriguez is a national of Honduras and described him as an “unlawfully present noncitizen.” They say he was first encountered by U.S. Border Patrol in Yuma, Arizona on August 25, 2018.

“I’m traumatized to be quite honest with you. She is 4 years old,” the victim’s mother told FOX 5 in 2023. “It’s not that she’s not comfortable, but you can tell there are signs of trauma that’s left behind from this, and I’m going to have to get her some type of counseling as well as myself.”

Descano, the radical Democrat prosecutor who has been hammered all day by Reps. Jim Jordan and Brandon Gill for his office’s bias favoring illegal alien criminals over U.S. citizens, tried his usual weaselly excuses.

But Knott, a father of two young girls, wasn’t having any of it. He scolded the coward like a child and ordered him to shut up.

Rep. Brad Knott pressed Descano on the facts: The office offered the predator a sweetheart plea deal capping his sentence at just two years. Even a liberal judge appointed by Sen. Mark Warner rejected it — twice — citing “overwhelming evidence” that this monster was a clear and present threat to children.

When the plea was shot down, what did Descano’s office do? They dismissed the entire case, letting the pervert walk free until ICE finally picked him up.

Rep. Brad Knott: They could not sentence this person to any term over 2 years. Is that not correct?

Steve Descano: Sir, I’m so glad you brought this to my attention.

Rep. Brad Knott: Is that not correct?

Steve Descano: Well, because I would like to explain, sir.

Rep. Brad Knott: It is correct. And the court rejected it.

Steve Descano: Sir, I know this case well. I would love to talk to you about this case.

Rep. Brad Knott: It was a judge that was appointed by Senator Warner. This is not a right-wing judge. This is a liberal judge. And you know why he rejected it? He saw what you should have seen.

Steve Descano: Can we talk about the evidence?

Rep. Brad Knott: This person was a threat.

Steve Descano: I know it, and you don’t.

Rep. Brad Knott: Quit talking.

Steve Descano: And I would love to tell you about it.

Rep. Brad Knott: Guilt. What did you do? You dismissed the case.

Steve Descano: Sir, can I please talk about this case, since you want to know about it so much?

Rep. Brad Knott: Be quiet.

Rep. Brad Knott: When you dismiss a case, what happens to that defendant?

Rep. Brad Knott: Walks free. A disgusting, perverted individual preying on children that you dismissed the case. As the father of two young girls, one of them is 5, that is as shameful as anything I have ever seen.

NBC News reported:

CIA Director John Ratcliffe met with Cuban officials in Havana on Thursday, according to a CIA official and a statement from the Cuban government.

Ratcliffe met with Cuba’s minister of interior, the head of the Cuban intelligence service and Raulito Rodriguez Castro, a government official who is the grandson of former President Raúl Castro, according to the CIA official.

The CIA official said that Ratcliffe was there “to personally deliver President Trump’s message that the United States is prepared to seriously engage on economic and security issues, but only if Cuba makes fundamental changes.”

The CIA official added that Ratcliffe and the Cuban officials discussed “intelligence cooperation, economic stability, and security issues, all against the backdrop that Cuba can no longer be a safe haven for adversaries in the Western Hemisphere.”

Cuba said it provided information that “made it possible to categorically demonstrate that Cuba does not constitute a threat to U.S. national security.”

Cuba also said that there were no “legitimate reasons to include it on the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.”

It was later reported by CBS News that the US government is moving to indict Raul Castro.

“The U.S. is taking steps to indict Raúl Castro, the 94-year-old former president of Cuba and brother of Fidel, in connection with the downing of planes 30 years ago, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter,” CBS News reported.

“The potential indictment — which would need to be approved by a grand jury — is expected to focus on Cuba’s deadly 1996 shootdown of planes operated by humanitarian group Brothers to the Rescue,” the outlet reported.
