Texas Supreme Court Chief Justice James “Jimmy” Blacklock has demanded answers from a Dallas County judge accused of requiring masks and intrusive health disclosures as a condition of entering her courtroom.

In a sharply worded May 13 letter, Chief Justice Blacklock warned Dallas County Court at Law No. 1 Judge D’Metria Benson that he is “aware of no legitimate basis” under Texas law for conditioning access to a public courtroom on a mask mandate or heightened health screening.

The letter, obtained Tuesday, gives Benson until 5 p.m. Friday, May 15, to either clarify that no such policy exists, explain the legal basis for the restrictions, or withdraw them entirely.

“It has come to my attention that you may be requiring people entering your courtroom to wear facemasks and to divulge intimate information about their health,” Blacklock wrote.

He added:

“If this is true, please carefully reconsider whether you have legal authority for these actions.”

Blacklock pointed directly to the Texas Constitution, citing Article I, Section 13, which guarantees that “all courts shall be open.”

“I am aware of no legitimate basis on which a Texas judge may condition a person’s presence in a courtroom on a mask requirement or on a heightened health screening,” the Chief Justice wrote.

That is a stunning statement from the state’s highest judicial officer—and one that signals Texas’ judicial leadership may be increasingly unwilling to tolerate lingering COVID-style mandates years after the pandemic emergency ended.

Blacklock also invoked Rule 10(f) of the Rules of Judicial Administration, which gives the Texas Supreme Court authority to direct lower courts to amend or withdraw local rules, standing orders, or policies deemed unfair or unduly burdensome.

The Chief Justice’s letter was prompted by reports that Benson’s courtroom may be enforcing mask requirements and requiring visitors to disclose private health information before entry. Blacklock cited reporting by The Texas Lawbook regarding attorney Mark Curriden’s challenge to the policy.

Sen. Rand Paul’s Son Apologizes After Alleged Antisemitic, Anti-Gay Tirade Targeting Rep. Mike Lawler
May 14, 2026

Portrait of two politicians, one smiling in front of an American flag and the other looking serious at a podium, highlighting their contrasting expressions and political presence.

The son of Kentucky Senator Rand Paul has issued an apology after reportedly unloading a drunken, expletive-laced tirade at New York Congressman Mike Lawler (R-NY) inside a Capitol Hill bar Tuesday night.

According to multiple reports, William Hilton Paul confronted Lawler at the Tune Inn, a popular dive bar frequented by Hill staffers and lawmakers.

The outburst allegedly stemmed from frustration over the primary challenge facing Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY).

Paul reportedly mistook Lawler for being Jewish and launched into a ten-minute rant accusing “your people” of meddling in GOP primaries and prioritizing Israel over America.

Lawler, who is actually of Irish-Italian Catholic descent, recounted the incident publicly Wednesday, describing it as “f***ing disgusting.”

He said Paul yelled that the Iran situation was “about the gays and the Jews, and I hate them both, and I don’t care if they die,” while trafficking in classic antisemitic tropes about dual loyalty and anti-American influence.

More from New York Post:

In a phone conversation recounting the evening, Lawler told The Post that he was sitting at a popular DC bar with a friend and a reporter for NOTUS, which first revealed the incident involving William Paul.

“So Rand Paul’s f—ing son is sitting next to us at the at the bar … And he just like chimes in on our conversation, f—ing drunk and belligerent, and then starts going off about, you know, if [Rep. Thomas] Massie [R-Ky.] loses [his primary], it’s because of my people,” Lawler recalled.

“I’m like, ‘What people?’ He goes, ‘Jews,’ and I’m like, ‘Do you think I’m Jewish? … I’m Irish-Italian Catholic, buddy,’” the Hudson Valley lawmaker went on.

“He’s like, ‘Wait, you’re not Jewish?’” Lawler recalled the younger Paul asking, to which the lawmaker said he replied: “And even if I was, what’s the problem?”

“And then he got into the Middle East, and he was talking about, like, us trying to steal Iran’s land for the Jews and steal the West Bank, and I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’”

At that point, William Paul said: “This war, it’s all about the gays and the Jews, and I hate them both, and I don’t care if they die.”

[…]

“I just wonder if someone who applauds violence against their political opponents is the right person to lead an agency that has struggled to accept limits to the proper use of force,” the Kentucky senator and chairman of the Homeland Security Committee said.

On Wednesday afternoon, Paul posted a clear-eyed apology on X:

“Last night, I had too much to drink and said some things that don’t represent who I really am. I’m sorry and today I am seeking help for my drinking problem.”

Oregon Cop Forced to Resign After Bodycam Caught Him Privately Saying ‘F*ck the Somali and Latino Communities, I’m About America!’ While Responding to Anti-ICE Riots
May 14, 2026

Body camera footage from a police vehicle showing an officer's perspective alongside a press conference with a police chief discussing public safety.

A veteran Oregon law enforcement officer has been forced out of his job simply for privately saying, “F-ck the Somali and Latino community. I’m about the American communities! I’m about America!” while on duty.

Eugene Police Department Officer Martin Siller resigned effective immediately after bodycam footage from January 30 went viral online over the weekend.

The video captured Siller, while responding to protests and riots outside the old federal building in Eugene, making the blunt remarks during a phone call.

Siller also expressed strong support for ICE, said he doesn’t give “a sh-t about illegal aliens,” and mocked the leftist protesters for not having jobs.

WATCH:

Eugene Police Chief Chris Skinner publicly identified Siller after the footage went viral and condemned the remarks as “racist and deeply offensive.”

Skinner claimed that Siller resigned on his own shortly after the video surfaced online, before the department could even begin a full internal review.

The chief also said that the officer quit because the department is so anti-racist.

“One of the things that I was heartened by is the fact that he self-selected out so quickly,” Skinner said during a press conference.

Skinner continued, “Because if this is a department that fostered racism, and protected people that think the way that Martin Siller thinks, then he would have felt protected in this organization, and he doesn’t feel protected in this organization because he got out of here as quickly as he could, because he knew what the inevitable would happen to him.”

WATCH:

The chief has since released additional bodycam clips from the same day and confirmed an independent investigation is ongoing into whether anyone else was aware of or involved in the conversation.

Siller had served seven years with the Eugene Police Department after a 20-year career with the West Valley City Police Department in Utah.

A separate officer connected to the phone call, reportedly from Grantsville, Utah, is now under internal investigation by his own department.

Another ‘missing’ lawmaker?

Democrat Rep. Frederica Wilson has not voted on the House floor in nearly one month.

Wilson missed all 10 votes on Wednesday.

The 83-year-old Florida lawmaker has missed 43 straight votes.

Rep. Wilson is also reportedly posting old photos to her social media pages.

Last month, it was reported that Rep. Thomas Kean (R-NJ) had missed more than 50 roll call votes.

Speaker Johnson told ABC News that Rep. Kean is dealing with personal health matters.

“I was happy to speak to Tom Kean, Jr. this afternoon by phone. He is attending to a personal health matter and expects to be back to 100% very soon,” Johnson told ABC News last month.

“Tom is one of the most dedicated and hardest-working Members of Congress, and I am grateful for all he does and will continue to do to serve New Jerseyans and our country,” Johnson said.

Tom Kean eventually broke his silence and thanked his constituents for their patience as he addressed his personal medical issue.

The lawmaker said he expects to return to a full schedule and be at 100 percent.

Rep. Kean is still absent and has not voted since March 5.

How Texas Authorities Can Hold Dr. Fauci Accountable

How Texas Authorities Can Hold Dr. Fauci Accountable

How Texas Authorities Can Hold Dr. Fauci Accountable
May 14, 2026

Guest post by Paul S. Gardiner

It has been reported that Governor Greg Abbott recently said the following: “Dr. Fauci’s actions and policies harmed a lot of Texans. I’ve directed our Major Crimes Division to open an official investigation.”

The report further states: “Abbott says he hopes to be able to charge Fauci with the deaths of tens of thousands of Texans.”

Governor Abbott’s directive to the Major Crimes section of the Texas Department of Public Safety, Criminal Investigations Division, is very timely now that the US Department of Justice appears not to pursue federal criminal charges against Dr. Fauci for lying to members of the US Congress.

Given the above, this narrative explains how Texas authorities can hold Dr. Fauci and others accountable for horrendous, egregious crimes allegedly committed against not only tens of thousands of Texas citizens but also hundreds of thousands of other Americans who perished in hospitals during the COVID pandemic.

It is alleged that the actions of Dr. Fauci and others named herein are responsible for the policies and mandates that either directly or indirectly caused the deaths of an estimated 87,000 Texans* who perished in Texas hospitals after they were given the highly toxic drug remdesivir as “treatment” for the Covid virus.

Letters from aggrieved Texas families requesting a criminal investigation of Fauci and others responsible for the deaths of their loved ones in Texas hospitals can be read at https://diamondmindfoundation.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/5-Exhitbit-B.-48-pgs.pdf

“Homicide, premeditated murder” is how two highly respected officials, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., and Dr. David Martin, publicly characterize the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans who perished in hospitals while being treated for the COVID-19 virus.

The public statements of Kennedy and Martin about the tragic use of the highly toxic drug Remdesivir to treat Covid patients have never been challenged or refuted and thus, can be assumed to be highly creditable.

In the words of Dr. Ben Carson, “What happened during COVID must not be quietly erased from history—we must have accountability, transparency, and honest answers because forgetting what happened only guarantees it will happen again.” #BenCarson, #COVIDTruth

Secretary Kennedy states that Remdesivir causes kidney failure, heart failure, and/or all-organ collapse causing eventual death—that the deaths of so many Covid patients were caused by one or more doses of Remdesivir and not the Covid virus.

Dr. Martin states that any hospital or public health official who knew or should have known about the drug’s deadly effects and failed to stop giving this highly toxic drug to patients has committed “reckless homicide at best or premeditated murder at worst”.

At https://x.com/DiedSuddenly_/status/1911227407433891988/video/1 is Secretary Kennedy’s statement, and at https://rumble.com/v5jrx85-the-shocking-truth-about-remdesivirs-lethality-rate.html is Dr Martin’s testimony before the Oklahoma state legislature.

Background. In April 2020, Dr Anthony Fauci mandated that Remdesivir (also called Veklury) be used in hospitals to treat Covid patients, and the drug remained in use for the next 4 years and perhaps longer.

In November 2020, the World Health Organization (WHO) advised that the drug cease to be used to treat Covid hospital patients. Inexplicably, American hospitals continued to give the highly toxic drug to Covid patients for several years!

A critical question that must be asked is why did hundreds of thousands of Covid patients in US hospitals continue receiving Remdesivir (and still may be at some hospitals) long after the WHO advised that the drug cease to be used? An interview with Dr Peter McCullough at https://rumble.com/v5qbtcw-dr-peter-mccullough-remdesivir.html offers an answer to the question, and it appears to be “all about the money” for using the drug.

Dr. McCullough states that hospitals received a huge bonus of 20 percent of a Covid patient’s total hospital bill when Remdesivir was given to the patient. This bonus was paid by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Service (CMS).

Another critical question is who else, in addition to the hospitals, benefitted from the continued use of Remdesivir?

The drug manufacturer, Gilead Sciences, certainly benefited from the continued use of the drug, as did several high-ranking public health officials, including Dr. Anthony Fauci. These officials (named below) allegedly benefited in a variety of ways including public appearances paid by Gilead, royalty payments, increases in Gilead stock portfolios, etc.

The above information demands a thorough criminal investigation of the alleged hospital homicides in Texas and indictments of persons responsible for the crimes.

Alleged violations of Texas Penal Code include: Capital Murder; Murder; Manslaughter; Participation in Enterprise Through Racketeering; Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity; Injury to a Child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual; Abandoning or Endangering a Child, Elderly Individual, or Disabled Individual; and Unlawful Restraint.

Officials (subjects) to be investigated include Anthony Fauci and those named below:

– Cliff Lane, Deputy Director, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases

– Francis Collins, ex-Director, National Institutes of Health

– Deborah Birx, ex-White House COVID Response Coordinator & former Director of

DOD HIV Research at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research

– Rochelle Walensky, ex-Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

– Stephen Hahn, ex-Commissioner, Federal Drug Administration

– Robert Redfield, ex-Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

– The Administrators and Healthcare Providers of hospital systems and facilities providing care to patients in Texas, including but not limited to Baylor, Scott, & White Hospital System (“BSW”)

* Centers for Disease Control (CDC) statistics indicate that the hospital deaths of over 1.2 million Americans are attributed to the COVID-19 virus. Based on letters received from aggrieved families in seven states, it is estimated that upwards of 80 percent or over 900,000 Americans nationwide perished in hospitals primarily due to the mandated use of toxic doses of Remdesivir. In Texas, CDC statistics indicate that upwards of 109,000 hospital deaths are attributed to the COVID-19 virus with an estimated 80 percent or 87,000 hospital patients/victims receiving one or more doses of Remdesivir.
