The South Carolina Senate just killed a critical motion to expedite the Trump-backed congressional redistricting effort, putting the entire push for a bold 7-0 Republican map in serious jeopardy as Democrats and their weak-kneed GOP enablers drag their feet past the start of early voting on Tuesday, May 26.
State Rep. Adam Morgan blasted the vote and sounded the alarm:
“South Carolina Senate KILLS motion to expedite Redistricting! This puts the entire effort in serious jeopardy. 6 Republicans voted with Dems to kill it… The motion would [have] suspended Rule 15b to allow immediate cloture. Without this they can drag the debate out past the start of early voting (Tues, 5/26). This 25-15 vote failed to meet the required 2/3 threshold. Luke Rankin (R-Horry) did not vote.”

Trump Announces He Will Not Attend Don Jr.’s Wedding Citing “Circumstances Pertaining to Government” and His “Love for the United States of America”

President Trump said in a statement on Friday that he will not be in attendance at the wedding of his oldest son, Donald Trump Jr., noting that he “very much wanted” to attend but must remain in Washington, DC, this weekend.
The guest list totals for the intimate gathering has fewer than 50 people, according to CNN, which reports that Trump’s absence may be intentional and long-planned due to the couple’s desire for an extremely private ceremony.
Don Jr. and Palm Beach socialite Bettina Anderson will reportedly tie the knot on a small island in the Bahamas.
Trump on Thursday expressed doubt that he would be able to make it to the wedding, telling reporters, “This is not good timing for me,” also noting that it’s “going to be just a small little private affair.”
“I have a thing called Iran and other things,” he said, joking that he’ll “get killed by the fake news” either way.
“But he’s got a very, a person, who I’ve known for a long time, and hopefully they’re going to have a great marriage,” Trump added.

On Friday, the President confirmed in a Truth Social post that he will not be in attendance, citing “circumstances pertaining to Government, and my love for the United States of America.”

According to Trump’s schedule this weekend, he will be at the White House on Saturday and Sunday after delivering remarks at Rockland Community College in Suffern, New York this afternoon.
This comes as Trump continues negotiations to end the war with Iran amid the ongoing ceasefire.
Only Eight House Democrats Voted for the ‘PROTECT Kids Act’ to Stop Schools Requiring Parental Consent Before Schools Change a Student’s Gender or Pronouns

This week, the House passed H.R. 2616, the Parental Rights Over the Education and Care of Their Kids Act, also called the PROTECT Kids Act.
The Act was passed by a vote of 217–198, with only eight House Democrats voting for the bill.
H.R. 2616 requires public elementary and middle schools that receive federal funding (under the Elementary and Secondary Education Act) to obtain explicit parental consent before changing a student’s gender markers, pronouns, or preferred name on school records/forms.
Further, it also prohibits the use of federal funds to teach or advance “gender ideology.”
Despite protecting parents’ rights and their ability to protect their own children, only EIGHT Democrats voted for the bill.
Rep. Tim Walberg (R-MI), who is chairman of the Committee on Education & Workforce, sponsored the bill.
Walberg spoke on the floor in support of the bill saying, “Mr. Speaker, I rise today in strong support of H.R. 2616, Stopping Indoctrination and Protecting Kids Act. For years, concerned parents have felt ignored as education bureaucrats push radical agendas in schools without their knowledge or input. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when kitchen tables became classrooms, Parents got a firsthand look at what was really being taught. What many saw raised serious concerns.”
“Instead of focusing on basics like math and reading, many teachers and schools were introducing controversial lessons on gender ideology and pronouns, all while student achievement plummeted and continues to this day. In the years since, those concerns have eroded parental rights.”
“Schools— schools are facilitating gender transitions or encouraging students to change their names and pronouns without telling parents. These are enormously consequential decisions that have lasting impacts on a child’s well-being and development. Parents deserve to be part of those conversations.”
“One study from Defending Education found that at least 21,000 schools across the United States have policies that allow or encourage staff to hide a student’s name change or gender identity. This lack of transparency risks confusion, undermines trust, and weakens the essential partnership between families and schools. It also places teachers in a difficult position, sometimes expecting them to withhold information from parents or be less than fully transparent.”
“These policies are incredibly harmful to children and families. In fact, we’re now seeing a wealth of data to prove that children and teenagers who seek out drastic, life-altering medical procedures often struggle with mental health issues now and beyond.”
“Instead of supporting kids, these secretive gender transitions, often encouraged by radical school officials, do more harm than good.”
“At the same time, many parents are asking a simple question: Why aren’t schools more focused on helping students recover academically?”

BREAKING: Obama Judge Dismisses Criminal Case Against MS-13 Gang Member Kilmar Abrego Garcia

A federal judge on Friday dismissed the criminal indictment against MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.
Judge Waverly Crenshaw, an Obama appointee, granted Abrego Garcia’s motion to dismiss the human trafficking case for vindictive and selective prosecution in violation of the Fifth Amendment’s Due Process Clause.
Last October, Judge Crenshaw set a hearing on whether the child-trafficking case against MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia was due to “vindictive prosecution.”
Crenshaw set a hearing based on public statements made by Pam Bondi, Todd Blanche, Kristi Noem, and others.
Kilmar Abrego Garcia is an El Salvadoran national who was illegally residing in Maryland. In 2019, an immigration judge ordered Abrego Garcia, an alleged member of the dangerous MS-13 gang, removed from the US.
After a months-long court battle over his deportation, Kilmar Abrego Garcia was transported back to the United States from El Salvador to face criminal charges.
A federal grand jury in Tennessee previously indicted Kilmar Abrego Garcia for “transporting undocumented migrants within the United States.”
He was charged with one count of conspiracy to transport aliens and one count of unlawful transportation of undocumented aliens.
According to the indictment, Kilmar Abrego Garcia and co-conspirators from El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and the US were trafficking illegal aliens from 2016 through 2025.
On Friday, Judge Crenshaw dismissed both counts and blasted the Trump Administration for targeting Garcia.
“In sum, the Government’s explanation gets the sequence backwards. Instead of investigating the November 2022 traffic stop to identify who was responsible for the human smuggling, Blanche started the investigation to implicate Abrego. He did so to justify the Executive Branch’s decision to remove him to El Salvador,” Judge Crenshaw wrote in a 32-page opinion reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.
“The reopening of the closed HSI investigation is the source of the vindictiveness. Blanche’s public statements about the investigation and Singh’s involvement tie Main Justice to the reopened investigation and the indictment. After the indictment became reality, the Government ignores McGuire’s testimony that Main Justice caused Abrego’s return to the United States, as the District of Maryland had long required. The Government’s rebuttal to the presumption of vindictiveness does not engage with that evidence,” the judge wrote.

President Trump delivered remarks at Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh’s swearing-in ceremony on Friday, where he laid out his vision for massive economic growth and cooling inflation with the new Chairman “totally independent” of the White House.
The President spoke for nearly 23 minutes before Warsh was sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas.
During his remarks, Trump spoke about what he expects from the new Fed Chair, taking jabs at former Chairman Jerome Powell and declaring that Warsh’s policies will “restore confidence” by focusing on price stability, low inflation, and achieving full employment.
Despite speculation that Warsh would face intense pressure from Trump as Chairman, Trump told Warsh and the crowd at the White House, “I want Kevin to be totally independent. I want him to be independent and just do a great job. Don’t look at me, don’t look at anybody, just do your own thing and do a great job.”
“I fully expect that with the greatest Fed chairs before him, Kevin will safeguard the Fed’s integrity. They’ll make their own decisions and hopefully make them well, but they’ll be listening to Kevin all the way. I really believe that, even if they’re from a somewhat different persuasion, they’re going to be listening to him out of respect, because everybody respects him,” Trump added.
“Unfortunately,” he said, under Jerome Powell, the Fed has lost its respect and integrity, “distracted by concerns far removed from its core mission and mandate, drifting into matters such as climate policy and DEI initiatives.”
“With the Fed straying from its mandate, while the last administration blew out the deficit, Americans suffered the worst inflation that we had in history,” Trump continued.
But, Warsh “will restore confidence in the Fed, which is so important, and among Americans all across the political spectrum, and people from all over the world, and they’re going to be looking to Kevin, probably, and possibly more than any other person that’s had your esteemed position before,” he said.
“Thankfully, unlike some of his predecessors,” Trump said in reference to Jerome Powell, “Kevin understands that when the economy is booming, it is— that’s a good thing.” He continued, “We want it to boom, we want it to be like nobody has ever had before, because we do have some debt we’d like to take care of, and the way you do that is through growth.”
“But economic growth does not mean inflation. You don’t have to stop the world because you’re doing well. Kevin’s also said that he’ll bring much-needed reform and modernization, transforming obsolete data collection methods, rolling back reliance on inaccurate models, and curtailing the Fed’s practice of issuing so-called forward guidance. ”
Trump further pointed to the stock market, highlighting the DOW, which surged to a new all-time high, over 50,700, as well as the S&P 500 settling into its eighth straight week of gains, ahead of Warsh’s swearing-in ceremony. “They both set new records today, and boy, that’s something good, but you’re going to bring it to a much different level, believe me,” Trump said, expressing optimism for continued growth under Warsh’s chairmanship.
“It’s good, but it can go much better, and that’s what I think you’re going to do,” he added.

Trump: I know that Kevin has the deepest respect and reverence for the institution he will lead starting today. We are so lucky to have him. The Federal Reserve is a pillar of the world financial system and the most important central bank anywhere in the world, with a history stretching back more than 100 years. It is truly the institution that’s most looked to and most respected, and it’s now taken on a new, a new, and even higher respect, in my opinion.
And honestly, I really mean this. This is not said in any other way. I want Kevin to be totally independent. I want him to be independent and just do a great job. Don’t look at me, don’t look at anybody, just do your own thing and do a great job. Okay?
Unfortunately, in the eyes of many, the Fed lost its way in recent years. It became distracted by concerns far removed from its core mission and mandate, drifting into matters such as climate policy and DEI initiatives. With the Fed straying from its mandate, while the last administration blew out the deficit, Americans suffered the worst inflation that we had in history. It was the worst inflation we’ve ever had, as you know. Some people say you’re wrong about that, it was only in 48 years, but I think 48 years almost sounds worse. The worst inflation we’ve ever had. So, it made it very difficult.
Kevin has spoken often about the need to restore the Fed’s integrity by returning to a proper focus on its two functional and really fundamental responsibilities: maintaining price stability and low inflation, and achieving full employment. And we talk about it, we’ve talked about it often, and right now we have the most people working in the United States than we’ve ever had.
We have never had as many people working right now in the United States, and it’s something that I like to say, and it’s been pretty much that way ever since I’ve been president. When I go back to the first term, I had those numbers too, and I kept them, and we’ve done things that are really amazing, but we can bring it to a new and higher level with Kevin.
I think we can bring it to a level that nobody ever thought possible. By following through on this vision, Kevin will restore confidence in the Fed, which is so important, and among Americans all across the political spectrum, and people from all over the world, and they’re going to be looking to Kevin, probably, and possibly more than any other person that’s had your esteemed position before.

Every one of these people felt, including Kevin, by the way, felt so strongly about this choice, and we have no doubt that we have absolutely no doubt, so important, too, so big, so important. I just turned on the television. I wanted to see how the stock market’s doing today. The stock market’s up 600 points. That means they like you. If they didn’t like you—
It’s actually up to 50,702, so that’s as of about 12 minutes ago. Now, who knows? But I think it can only go up. I think with you it’s only going to go up. That was a number that nobody thought was reachable during my entire four years. If you look at some of the great pundits, they said, well, 50,000 would be impossible during the four years, but sometime after we hit it in the first year, but now we’re really hitting it.
And think of it, it’s up to 50,702, and S&P likewise set a new record today; they both set new records today, and boy, that’s something good, but you’re going to bring it to a much different level, believe me. It’s good, but it can go much better, and that’s what I think you’re going to do.
