Tulsi Gabbard is resigning from her post as Director of National Intelligence to support her husband through his battle with “an extremely rare form of bone cancer,” Fox News Digital learned.
Gabbard notified President Trump during a meeting in the Oval Office Friday. Her last day at ODNI is expected to be June 30.
Fox News Digital exclusively obtained her formal resignation letter, in which Gabbard says she is “deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me and for the opportunity to lead the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for the last year and a half.”
“Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026,” she wrote. “My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer.”
Gabbard said her husband “faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months.”
“At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle,” she said.
Gabbard added: “Abraham has been my rock throughout our eleven years of marriage — standing steadfast through my deployment to East Africa on a Joint Special Operations mission, multiple political campaigns and now my service in this role.”

Trump says He Gave Up “An Absolute Fortune” for Weaponization Fund, Blasts Thom Tillis and His RINO Friends for “Screwing the Republican Party”

President Trump on Friday nuked RINO Thom Tillis and “his RINO friends” in response to backlash over the $1.776 billion weaponization fund to compensate victims of the weaponized Department of Justice, as lawmakers move to block the fund.
The fund was created in exchange for Trump dropping more than $10 billion in legal action against the federal government for leaking his tax returns and weaponizing the Justice Department against him. At less than two billion dollars, the fund is a small fraction of the cost that Trump would receive from his lawsuits.
“They’ve been weaponized, they’ve been, in some cases, imprisoned wrongly. They paid legal fees that they didn’t have. They’ve gone bankrupt, their lives have been destroyed, and they turn out to be right,” the President said.
However, Republican lawmakers are already teaming up with Democrats to kill the fund, with Reps. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA.) and Tom Suozzi (D-NY) leading the charge and drafting legislation.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, Senate Republicans broke for a ten-day recess, delaying the reconciliation vote to fund ICE, Border Patrol, and Secret Service to buck Trump over the weaponization fund.
Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY) lashed out at Trump and interim Attorney General Todd Blanche in a statement writing, “So the nation’s top law enforcement official is asking for a slush fund to pay people who assault cops? Utterly stupid, morally wrong – Take your pick.”
Other RINOs similarly lost it, including Thom Tillis (R-NC), who compared the fund to Democrats’ calls to defund the police and described it as “tyranny.”
He further described the fund as a “payout pot for punks” and “stupid on stilts.”
Trump went off on Tillis, "the weak and ineffective Senator from the Great State of North Carolina," slamming his anti-Trump record and calling him a "QUITTER" for announcing his retirement because Trump wouldn't endorse him.
"When I told him that I would not, under any circumstances, endorse him for another run, too much work and drama (he couldn’t have won, anyway!), he immediately quit the race and publicly announced that he was going to 'retire.' I said, 'Wow, great news, that was easy!'” Trump said. "The media said how brave he was to take me on, but he wasn’t brave, he was just the opposite."
He continued, "Now he can have all the fun he wants for a few months, with some of his RINO friends, screwing the Republican Party. In the end it will only get bigger, and better, and stronger, than ever before!!!"

There have also been around 900,000 forced deportations, enabled by a large increase in funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

The administration has heavily promoted self-deportation through the CBP Home app, which allows migrants in the country illegally to arrange voluntary departure.
The figures come as the administration points to a dramatic collapse in illegal border crossings.
According to Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol recorded 8,943 apprehensions at the southwest border in April, a 94% drop from the Biden-era monthly average and 96 percent below the December 2023 peak.
Officials have also declared an end to the catch-and-release policies that dominated under the previous administration.
Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said last week that “the days of catch and release are over.”
The numbers mark a sharp reversal from the record migration levels seen under President Joe Biden, where at least 10 million people entered the country illegally.
The administration credits tougher asylum restrictions, expanded ICE operations, and aggressive interior enforcement for the shift.
Officials are also moving to onboard dozens of new immigration judges who will speed up the process of removal.
While some immigration analysts have disputed how DHS categorizes certain removal figures, the drop in illegal crossings has been widely acknowledged.
However, some accuse the administration of “cooking the books” by including border turnaways and removals in the official figures.

On Thursday, The Gateway Pundit reported that Aimee Bock, the convicted mastermind behind the $250 million Feeding Our Future scandal, was sentenced to 41.5 years in federal prison for her role in a massive scheme that fraudulently billed taxpayers for tens of millions of meals that were never provided to low-income children during the pandemic.
The fraud was centered in Minnesota’s large Somali community and involved dozens of defendants.
Bock, who founded Feeding Our Future, was convicted in March 2025 on multiple counts, including conspiracy, bribery, and wire fraud. She had been the central figure coordinating the operation that exploited relaxed federal rules during the COVID-19 emergency.
Additionally, in a recent jailhouse interview, Bock explicitly stated she “struggles to believe” Rep. Ilhan Omar did not know what was happening.
Following news of Bock’s sentence, Vice President JD Vance stated, “Just like all of you, I was shocked last December when I watched Nick Shirley’s bombshell investigation of migrant fraud in Minnesota, which called attention to the now infamous ‘Quality Learing Center’ instead of learning and other schemes across that state.”
“This morning, the ringleader of the $250 million Feeding Our Future fraud scheme in Minnesota was sentenced in federal court to over 40 years in prison, bringing justice to the countless schoolchildren and families she had scammed. And on top of that, today federal law enforcement launched a massive raid in Minneapolis. Across the city, agents have arrested 15 people for suspected fraud that amounted to $90 million. This includes two of the largest Medicaid fraud cases in Minnesota history, as well as the largest autism fraud scheme ever charged by the U.S. federal government.”
“With this action, we’re bringing justice to some of America’s most vulnerable citizens and justice to the American taxpayer. In 2018, Minnesota tried to provide housing services for the homeless. They estimated that the cost of the program would be $2.5 million a year. By 2024, the program had exploded to $104 million annually. And almost all of that, almost all of it was because of fraud.”
“As a result, the state had to shut down the program and can no longer provide those services to Americans in need. So we’ve got homeless veterans sleeping on the streets because fraudsters got rich. But it’s not just the homeless who are the victims of these fraudsters.”
“The victims in the cases announced by DOJ today also include disabled Americans who rely on community support to live full, independent lives, and citizens for whom defrauding such programs is literally a matter of life and death.”
“In one of the most horrifying cases charged today, a recipient who needed 24-hour care was supposed to be receiving exactly that through a Minnesota Medicaid benefit program. But he received nothing. No care, no services, nothing for months on end.
“And then he went quiet. For 2 days, a neighbor tried to check on him, knocking on his apartment door. Nothing.”
“Shortly after, he was found dead.”
“One day before this man died, the fraudster in question had tried to bill for the nonexistent services. The services that if they had been provided, this man might actually be with us today. To get rich off taxpayers, even at the cost of others’ lives, just as that fraudster had for many months before. This kind of behavior is sickening.”
