Far-left globalist Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney appears determined to destroy whatever is left of the close friendship his nation once held with the United States.

On Wednesday, Carney gave an exclusive interview to the leftist New York Times, where he detailed his vision for pulling Canada away from America.

Carney started with a startling revelation: he and his country have been prepared for potential military action with America for roughly a year, should Trump move toward a military invasion.

He took Trump’s threats of making Canada the 51st state seriously, and carefully examined the possibility of a U.S.-led military invasion. Carney declined to discuss in detail what that involved.

Of course, this is just crazy. But Carney says not preparing for something so ludicrous would be “irresponsible.”

“I think you have a responsibility in these roles to look at extreme tail risk,” Carney told the Times.

“That’s just risk management,” he continued. “That’s not a base case, but it would be irresponsible not to prepare.”

In addition to supposedly preparing for war with America, Carney plots to pull his nation away from America’s orbit.

Carney told the Times that there are several areas where Canada must “diversify” away from America. This includes reducing reliance on Starlink, Elon Musk’s satellite systems, and not buying F-35 fighter jets.

“Starlink, we will diversify away from, no question,” Carney said.

Carney also revealed that he’s prioritized deepening economic relations with Communist China. This includes letting cheap Chinese-made cars flood the Canadian market, which will destroy the country’s domestic auto industry.

But Carney says he has no choice but to do so because of Trump.

“There are certain things, once you’ve seen them, you can’t unsee them, the Prime Minister added.

Carney is even enamored with an alternative global currency to the United States Dollar, believing it would provide “more flexibility.”

Mr. Carney on Wednesday also reiterated his long-held view that a global financial system wholly dependent on the U.S. dollar was unsustainable. A move to a multipolar system in which there are several reserve currencies would “provide more flexibility,” he said.

Unbelievably, Carney thinks that with this strategy, Canada “will be a better partner for the U.S. because of what we are doing.”

On a somewhat more positive note, Carney continues to hold out hope for a trade deal with America.

Carney said that a path remains to resuming negotiations with the United States that would revive the trade agreement that fell apart in late August.

“Is there a mutually beneficial trade deal between Canada and the U.S.? Absolutely, absolutely there is one,” Mr. Carney said. He said that he was interested, for example, in adding potash to the talks. Canada provides almost 90 percent of all potash, the key ingredient for fertilizer, imported into the United States.

Mr. Carney said that Canada, the United States, and potentially also Mexico could become “fertilizer independent” by securing special access to Canada’s potash, the world’s largest reserve. He added that the Canadian option was clearly better than buying potash elsewhere that would then need to be transported through the Black Sea or the Strait of Hormuz.

“I think this is a doable component of the deal, and there are other examples that exist, and we’re ready to work toward,” he added.

One can bet, though, that Trump will not take kindly to the other stuff Carney uttered in this interview. The Canadian Prime Minister has made clear who he deems worthy of friendship, and it’s not America.

And the Canadian people will ultimately pay the price.

President Trump went off on CNN and MS Now again after welcoming Xi Jinping to the White House on Thursday, with events that the left-wing media refused to cover on their networks. 

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed Xi and his wife, Madame Peng, to the White House this morning. Trump and Xi delivered remarks, exchanged gifts, and observed a military review.

The festivities included a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber and F-22s flying over the White House.

However, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC refused to broadcast the ceremonies after suspending their pooled coverage of the White House to protest Trump’s ban of CNN, MS Now, and Politico from the White House last week.

Real America’s Voice, which has taken over the press pool duties from the protesting outlets, also highlighted ABC’s refusal to cover Trump by not turning their cameras on amid the boycott.

The networks continued their refusal to cover the president’s movements and remarks on Thursday, according to CBS.

President Trump responded to the boycott, slamming CNN and MS Now, aka “MSDNC,” noting that their “Ratings have dropped considerably” and highlighting his landslide 2024 election win despite extremely negative media coverage from the outlet. “They only write badly about a man who won the Election IN A GIANT LANDSLIDE, winning all 7 Swing States, the Popular Vote, and 86% of the Counties, etc., and whose Popularity has grown because of the unprecedented SUCCESS our Country is having on both the World Stage, and at home,” he said.

Trump said the morning’s events were “made for Television,” but “because they’re Fake News, and because they knew how good it would be, they didn’t want credit to be given to ‘TRUMP,’ they refused to be there. That’s why they have such poor Ratings.”

MS Now reported on Thursday that the boycott of coverage is expected to continue until CNN is given full access to President Trump, including in the Oval Office.

Tragedy struck in ‘closed-borders’ Poland.

While the scourge of knife violence is relentlessly plaguing most European countries, in the East, Poland lives a much more peaceful life as a country that fiercely defends its borders against unchecked mass migration.

However, the country did welcome hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the bloody war with Russia.

And today (24), this turned out deadly.

“The man used a knife he took from a kitchen there to attack one woman and four men, including one priest who was in a confessional, a prosecutor said.

The attack took place at a Benedictine Sisters monastery on the grounds of the abbey ⁠in Jaroslaw, local media reported.

A 31-year-old Ukrainian man was arrested.”

The motives behind the attack are not clear.

“’We are aware that Father Stanislaw has passed away and ​Father Marek is in serious condition. There are other casualties, but we do not have further details’, Sister ‌Barbara ⁠Dendor told state broadcaster TVP Info.”

“The 31-year-old is a slim, rather tall brunette. When he is led through the hospital corridor by police officers, his hands are bandaged and there are no shoes on his feet. He is in a white T-shirt and blue denim Bermuda shorts. He walks very calmly, he doesn’t break away, he doesn’t protest. His hands are handcuffed in front. After a while, he disappears into the hospital office.

[…] The knife attack in the convent of the Benedictine Sisters took place on Thursday, September 24, before noon. A 31-year-old Ukrainian allegedly attacked three priests and two believers. One of the priests died in the hospital as a result of his injuries, the second is fighting for his life, and the third is slightly injured and was about to leave the hospital.”

“Police remain at the scene after responding to the incident at 9.30am on Thursday. Marcin Nazarewicz, the mayor of Jarosław, said the city had activated crisis management.

A Podkarpackie Police force spokesman said: ‘Police officers from Jarosław detained a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen who stabbed four men and a woman’.

All the injured were taken to the hospital – three of the men with serious injuries. Officers are working at the scene to clarify the exact course and circumstances of the incident.”

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is once again dangling a 2028 presidential bid, and he is tying the decision to whether Republicans hold the line this November.

In a Wednesday interview on Newsmax’s Finnerty, Paul said he has not made up his mind. He will wait for the midterm results before deciding whether to jump in.

“I haven’t decided, but we’re going to look thoroughly at it as we see the results coming in for the midterms,” Paul said.

Paul, who ran for the Republican nomination in 2016 and folded after a fifth-place finish in Iowa, told Newsmax the GOP still needs a “free-market conservative” willing to pick a fight with the party’s populist economic direction.

“I think there needs to be a candidate that is a free-market conservative, somebody who believes that the debt is wrong, Big Government is bad, but also that we get richer through international trade and that capitalism on an international scale is a good thing, not a bad thing,” Paul said.

Then he went further.

“I think the populism of the party now is teaching something that’s an economic fallacy,” he said. “And so I think it would be a robust debate to have a free market, libertarian-leaning conservative like myself, who doesn’t think the government should own businesses, shouldn’t be involved, that capitalism should reign.”

“Capitalism made America great,” Paul added. “So, we’ll see what happens.”

Back in March, The Gateway Pundit reported that Paul told CBS he was “50-50” on a 2028 run and would decide after the 2026 midterms.

He complained then that the party’s old free-market, libertarian wing had been hollowed out and that on many days he was “the only one left for free trade” in the Senate.

Six months later, the message has not changed. Paul is still shopping the same argument: tariffs, industrial policy, and government taking stakes in private industry are a wrong turn.

He wants a primary fight over whether the Republican Party stays a limited-government, free-trade party or keeps moving in the direction President Trump has taken it.

A federal appeals court on Thursday reinstated Ohio’s law requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals blocked a lower court’s injunction.

In August, a Clinton-appointed judge blocked Ohio from requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship from residents registering to vote through the state’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles, handing a major victory to Democrat-aligned election attorneys just weeks before the 2026 midterm voter-registration deadline.

U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. issued a preliminary injunction against the citizenship-verification provision in Ohio House Bill 54.

House Bill 54 amended Ohio law to require applicants registering or updating their voter registration during a BMV transaction to provide proof of citizenship, or to have previously supplied that documentation to the agency.

The requirement could be satisfied with records such as a birth certificate, passport, or naturalization certificate. Ohio’s official statute took effect in June 2025.

Judge Oliver ruled that Ohio’s BMV process likely violated the National Voter Registration Act on two grounds.

First, the judge concluded that the state could not condition the offer to register on whether an applicant successfully obtained a driver’s license.

Oliver wrote that Ohio had made voter registration dependent upon the success of the license application and declared that the “sequencing is not what Congress intended.”

Second, Oliver ruled that documentary proof of citizenship exceeded the information Ohio needed to determine eligibility. According to the judge, a signed statement claiming U.S. citizenship is sufficient.

On Thursday, a three-judge panel for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-1 to block Judge Oliver’s injunction.

“A panel of three judges on the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 to block a lower court ruling that had granted a preliminary injunction against the voter ID law in August. The majority argued that the advocacy groups that brought the suit failed to demonstrate that the law would likely prevent people from registering to vote,” Politico reported.
