Tragedy struck in ‘closed-borders’ Poland.

While the scourge of knife violence is relentlessly plaguing most European countries, in the East, Poland lives a much more peaceful life as a country that fiercely defends its borders against unchecked mass migration.

However, the country did welcome hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian refugees fleeing the bloody war with Russia.

And today (24), this turned out deadly.

A knife-wielding Ukrainian man attacked clergy ‌and worshippers at a Benedictine abbey in southern Poland, killing a priest and injuring four other people.

Reuters reported:

“The man used a knife he took from a kitchen there to attack one woman and four men, including one priest who was in a confessional, a prosecutor said.

The attack took place at a Benedictine Sisters monastery on the grounds of the abbey ⁠in Jaroslaw, local media reported.

A 31-year-old Ukrainian man was arrested.”

The motives behind the attack are not clear.

“’We are aware that Father Stanislaw has passed away and ​Father Marek is in serious condition. There are other casualties, but we do not have further details’, Sister ‌Barbara ⁠Dendor told state broadcaster TVP Info.”

“The 31-year-old is a slim, rather tall brunette. When he is led through the hospital corridor by police officers, his hands are bandaged and there are no shoes on his feet. He is in a white T-shirt and blue denim Bermuda shorts. He walks very calmly, he doesn’t break away, he doesn’t protest. His hands are handcuffed in front. After a while, he disappears into the hospital office.

[…] The knife attack in the convent of the Benedictine Sisters took place on Thursday, September 24, before noon. A 31-year-old Ukrainian allegedly attacked three priests and two believers. One of the priests died in the hospital as a result of his injuries, the second is fighting for his life, and the third is slightly injured and was about to leave the hospital.”

“Police remain at the scene after responding to the incident at 9.30am on Thursday. Marcin Nazarewicz, the mayor of Jarosław, said the city had activated crisis management.

A Podkarpackie Police force spokesman said: ‘Police officers from Jarosław detained a 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen who stabbed four men and a woman’.

All the injured were taken to the hospital – three of the men with serious injuries. Officers are working at the scene to clarify the exact course and circumstances of the incident.”

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is once again dangling a 2028 presidential bid, and he is tying the decision to whether Republicans hold the line this November.

In a Wednesday interview on Newsmax’s Finnerty, Paul said he has not made up his mind. He will wait for the midterm results before deciding whether to jump in.

“I haven’t decided, but we’re going to look thoroughly at it as we see the results coming in for the midterms,” Paul said.

Paul, who ran for the Republican nomination in 2016 and folded after a fifth-place finish in Iowa, told Newsmax the GOP still needs a “free-market conservative” willing to pick a fight with the party’s populist economic direction.

“I think there needs to be a candidate that is a free-market conservative, somebody who believes that the debt is wrong, Big Government is bad, but also that we get richer through international trade and that capitalism on an international scale is a good thing, not a bad thing,” Paul said.

Then he went further.

“I think the populism of the party now is teaching something that’s an economic fallacy,” he said. “And so I think it would be a robust debate to have a free market, libertarian-leaning conservative like myself, who doesn’t think the government should own businesses, shouldn’t be involved, that capitalism should reign.”

“Capitalism made America great,” Paul added. “So, we’ll see what happens.”

Back in March, The Gateway Pundit reported that Paul told CBS he was “50-50” on a 2028 run and would decide after the 2026 midterms.

He complained then that the party’s old free-market, libertarian wing had been hollowed out and that on many days he was “the only one left for free trade” in the Senate.

Six months later, the message has not changed. Paul is still shopping the same argument: tariffs, industrial policy, and government taking stakes in private industry are a wrong turn.

He wants a primary fight over whether the Republican Party stays a limited-government, free-trade party or keeps moving in the direction President Trump has taken it.

A federal appeals court on Thursday reinstated Ohio’s law requiring proof of citizenship when registering to vote.

The Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals blocked a lower court’s injunction.

In August, a Clinton-appointed judge blocked Ohio from requiring documentary proof of U.S. citizenship from residents registering to vote through the state’s Bureau of Motor Vehicles, handing a major victory to Democrat-aligned election attorneys just weeks before the 2026 midterm voter-registration deadline.

U.S. District Judge Solomon Oliver Jr. issued a preliminary injunction against the citizenship-verification provision in Ohio House Bill 54.

House Bill 54 amended Ohio law to require applicants registering or updating their voter registration during a BMV transaction to provide proof of citizenship, or to have previously supplied that documentation to the agency.

The requirement could be satisfied with records such as a birth certificate, passport, or naturalization certificate. Ohio’s official statute took effect in June 2025.

Judge Oliver ruled that Ohio’s BMV process likely violated the National Voter Registration Act on two grounds.

First, the judge concluded that the state could not condition the offer to register on whether an applicant successfully obtained a driver’s license.

Oliver wrote that Ohio had made voter registration dependent upon the success of the license application and declared that the “sequencing is not what Congress intended.”

Second, Oliver ruled that documentary proof of citizenship exceeded the information Ohio needed to determine eligibility. According to the judge, a signed statement claiming U.S. citizenship is sufficient.

On Thursday, a three-judge panel for the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-1 to block Judge Oliver’s injunction.

“A panel of three judges on the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled 2-1 to block a lower court ruling that had granted a preliminary injunction against the voter ID law in August. The majority argued that the advocacy groups that brought the suit failed to demonstrate that the law would likely prevent people from registering to vote,” Politico reported.

Federal prosecutors have charged an American tech CEO and a Russian national over a plot to hide their company’s ownership and access federal databases through contracts awarded under Biden. 

Oxygen Forensics CEO Lee Reiber, 55, of Boise, Idaho, and Oleg Sergeyevich Davydov, 52, of Moscow, Russia, were arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

The two are accused of “concealing from U.S. government agencies that their company was owned and controlled by Russian nationals and that its software was developed in Russia,” the Department of Justice announced on Wednesday.

Reiber and Davydov allegedly concealed from federal agencies that their company was owned and controlled by Russian nationals and “conspired to obtain contracts from federal agencies” to analyze data from US agencies.

The agencies affected included the Department of War and the Department of Homeland Security, including the “Secret Service and its National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI); Homeland Security Investigations; and the DHS Office of Inspector General.”

According to the DOJ:

Reiber allegedly represented to the government that the company had no foreign ownership or control and that its software was developed in the United States, when in fact five Russian nationals, including Davydov, owned and controlled the company and its software was developed in Russia.

The complaint does not allege that the software contained malicious code or that it was used to gain unauthorized access to any customer’s computer systems or data.

In a separate proceeding, a federal magistrate judge in the Central District of California on September 19 issued a warrant authorizing the seizure of corporate bank accounts, approximately 57 domains, and other cyberinfrastructure used in furtherance of the alleged acts. The domains and related infrastructure were seized on September 20.

According to an affidavit filed with the criminal complaint, from March 2022 to the present, Reiber, Davydov, and others conspired to obtain contracts from federal agencies through Oxygen Forensics Inc., a digital forensics company based in Alexandria, Virginia.

Digital forensic software is used to recover, preserve, and analyze electronic data from digital devices while keeping the original files unchanged.

The affidavit identifies the affected agencies as the U.S. Department of War and three components of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). These components include the U.S. Secret Service and its National Computer Forensics Institute (NCFI); Homeland Security Investigations; and the DHS Office of Inspector General.

According to the affidavit, Oxygen Forensics held itself out to the U.S. government as being an independent, U.S.-based company. In fact, Davydov and four other Russian nationals owned and controlled the company through a holding company based in Cyprus.

The same five individuals also owned a Russian company, known until September 2022 as Oxygen Software LLC and now as MKO Systems LLC, which Davydov co-founded in 2000. The developers who wrote the software worked in Russia, and MKO sold the software in Russia under different product names to customers that reportedly included the Russian Federal Security Service (known as the FSB), the Russian Investigative Committee, and the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Davydov was the Russian company’s chief technology officer and was responsible for the development of its software. He helped establish Oxygen Forensics in Virginia in 2013. Reiber joined the company in August 2015.

After the United States imposed expanded sanctions on Russia in early 2022 in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Davydov, Reiber, and the Russian co-conspirators agreed to conceal Oxygen Forensics’ true ownership and the development of its software in Russia. Reiber was installed as the company’s CEO, president, and chairman of the board in March 2022. The Russian owners were then removed from the company’s public corporate filings.

The company’s Russian owners continued to make significant decisions and set Reiber’s compensation, overruled him on payments, and held signatory authority over the company’s bank accounts.

In December 2022 and October 2023, Reiber falsely certified to the U.S. government that Oxygen Forensics had no immediate or highest-level owner. According to the affidavit, in November 2023, a reporter asked Reiber about Oxygen Forensics’ ownership and its connection to the Russian company.

Reiber then wrote to Davydov and two other Russian owners that public reporting on the connection “could destroy this entire opportunity,” referring to a pending contract with the National Computer Forensics Institute, and that the “current existence of this company hangs in the balance.”

In September 2024, the NCFI awarded a five-year contract for the software. The award file included Reiber’s October 2023 certification that the company had no immediate or highest-level owner.

In July 2024, at Reiber’s direction, Oxygen Forensics certified to the Department of War that no foreign person had the power to control the appointment of the company’s directors or managers or to direct its other decisions or activities. As Reiber then knew, the company’s Russian owners were foreign persons who controlled its decisions and one of them had recently been appointed to its board under a Turkish identity.

Reiber and the Russian owners also concealed that the software was developed in Russia. In March 2026, Reiber told DHS personnel that no Russian was involved in developing the software and that no one in Russia had access to the environment in which it was built. Days later, Reiber authored a statement, published on the company’s website, declaring that the company had no development presence in any restricted jurisdiction. According to the complaint, the software was written and managed by a team in Russia under Davydov’s direction, in a cloud environment administered by one of the Russian owners.

A criminal complaint merely contains allegations. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

If convicted, each defendant would face a statutory maximum sentence of 20 years in federal prison.

The United States Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security is investigating this matter with assistance from the Department of War Office of Inspector General Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Cyber Field Office. The Justice Department’s Office of International Affairs is assisting in the provisional arrest and anticipated extradition of Davydov.

Assistant United States Attorneys David C. Lachman of the Major Frauds Section and Joshua O. Mausner of the National Security Division are prosecuting this case. Assistant United States Attorney James E. Dochterman of the Asset Forfeiture and Recovery Section is handling the civil and criminal forfeitures of the seized property.

Far-left Michigan Democrat Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed has spent months telling voters he is “not a socialist” and “just a capitalist who understands how capitalism works.”

His own sister just blew that talking point up.

In an undercover video obtained exclusively by The Midwesterner and recorded at the Socialism 2026 Conference in Chicago, University of Chicago professor Eman Abdelhadi, El-Sayed’s half-sister, agreed that the candidate’s capitalist branding is a sales pitch, not the truth.

The only thing that matters, she said, is getting him into the United States Senate.

The Midwesterner reports that Abdelhadi identified herself as El-Sayed’s sister while speaking with an attendee whose nephew had started door-knocking for the campaign at the University of Michigan. The nephew, the attendee said, got “super sketch” about El-Sayed’s public claim that he is a capitalist.

“I was like, ‘Dude, don’t worry about that. Abdul is not a f**king capitalist,’” the attendee told her.

“Yeah,” Abdelhadi answered. “All we care about is the policies at this point.”

“Exactly,” the attendee said. “Getting him in.”

“Exactly!” Abdelhadi replied.

That is the quiet part out loud.

El-Sayed has repeated the capitalist line to anyone with a microphone. In July he told Detroit’s WJBK, “I’m not a socialist, I’m just a capitalist who understands how capitalism works.”

He has said the same thing to CNN, Fox, The Nation, and Stephen A. Smith: he is not DSA, not a socialist, just a man who read Adam Smith and wants to “regulate monopolies.”

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, radicalism in this family is not a coincidence. In August, TGP documented that Abdelhadi is a self-described “queer Muslim” activist and University of Chicago professor who was charged with two counts of felony aggravated battery after allegedly spitting on an Illinois state trooper at an anti-ICE riot outside a detention facility in Broadview.

She has called her own employer an “evil colonial landlord” and a “police force,” written about “transitioning out of capitalism to a stateless, communized society,” and posted an October 7 “blessing” while wrapped in a keffiyeh.

The Gateway Pundit also reported that El-Sayed’s birth mother, Fatten Elkomy, worked for the Islamic American Relief Agency, a Treasury-designated terror-support network accused of providing financial support to Osama bin Laden, the Taliban, and Hamas. Different relative.

Same pattern: the family record keeps surfacing, and the candidate keeps changing the subject to “policies.”

Those policies are not a mystery. As The Gateway Pundit reported in May, El-Sayed stood in Detroit and bragged, “I’m the only one for Medicare for All. I’m the only one who will abolish ICE.” His campaign site still calls for abolishing ICE.

He launched his Senate bid with an immediate endorsement from Sen. Bernie Sanders and has been backed by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Rashida Tlaib.

He headlined Detroit DSA events, including a 2019 fundraiser where organizers posed with a pamphlet showing a red fist choking a snake labeled “CAPITALISM.”

He has campaigned with Twitch streamer Hasan Piker. He wants government control of health care, higher taxes on wealth and capital gains, and a heavy state hand over private industry, including a plan for government stakes and board seats in artificial intelligence.

Michigan Democrats nominated this man to replace Sen. Gary Peters and face Republican former Rep. Mike Rogers in November, in a race that will help decide control of the Senate.
