Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas recently appeared on the Sean Hannity podcast and Sean asked him about the possibility of joining the U.S. Supreme Court.

People have mentioned Cruz’s name for this many times over the years, including President Trump, apparently. Cruz is an excellent lawmaker but his knowledge of courts and the law is superlative.

His response to the question from Hannity was a little surprising.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has dismissed speculation about a potential Supreme Court nomination, saying his response to President Donald Trump would be “not just no, but hell no.”

Speaking on the “Hang Out with Sean Hannity” podcast, Cruz said he would rather remain in politics than serve on the Supreme Court.

“So look, my answer is not just no, but hell no. And listen, I don’t say that lightly. I mean, it’s a big deal. The court is an institution I revere,” Cruz told Hannity.

“And a lot of people are surprised, because I’ve spent an awful lot of my professional life around the court, in the court. And for so many people, it is their life dream to do,” he added.

Trump has floated Cruz’s name for the Supreme Court in the past, joking he’d be the only nominee to get “100% of the Democrat vote, 100% of the Republican vote” because lawmakers would want to “get him out” of Congress.

Before entering politics, Cruz graduated from Princeton University and got his law degree from Harvard Law School. After law school, he clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist and later worked in private practice.

It sounds like Cruz enjoys campaigning too much to take a lifetime appointment.

It’s a shame, because he would probably make an outstanding Supreme Court justice.

The GOP-led US House of Representatives censured creepy Rep. Chuck Edwards on Tuesday.

Earlier this year, Edwards was investigated and censured by the House Committee on Ethics over allegations that he had behaved inappropriately with female staffers.

Rep. Edwards withdrew from his reelection campaign after the House Ethics Committee recommended the censure.

The stunning withdrawal came just two days after the bipartisan House Ethics Committee released a report recommending that the full House censure Edwards over what investigators described as “persistent unprofessional and inappropriate conduct” toward two young female staffers.

According to the committee’s official report, investigators conducted 16 witness interviews and reviewed nearly 1,500 pages of evidence.

According to the report, Edwards provided the young women with lavish and recurrent gifts including jewelry totaling over $1,000, designer purses, guns, shoes, flowers, a KitchenAid mixer, a robotic vacuum, vacations, tickets to performances, and one-on-one dinners.

He was too kind to the younger staffers and they thought it was creepy.

But, dirty America-hating radical Ilhan Omar still walks the halls of Congress for some reason.

Evidence emerged in September 2021 that Rep. Ilhan Omar did indeed marry her brother, and that her real name may actually be Ilhan Nur Said.

A resurfaced tweet from 2013 links to a now-deleted Instagram post in which she refers to her father by the name Nur Said.

The tweet was later deleted after the news broke!

But it was saved before it was deleted…

In 2009, Rep. Omar married Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, her brother who was the son of Nur Said.

As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, in 2017, Rep. Omar swore under penalty of perjury while divorcing her husband (brother?) that she hadn’t seen Ahmed N. Elmi since 2011 and didn’t know anyone who could help her contact him.

This confirms that Ilhan Omar has lied under oath numerous times.
It is past time charges are brought against this criminal.

Dirty Ilhan is still spouting off her anti-American hate in Congress and on TV.

Earlier this year, President Trump assigned Vice President Vance to head a commission to investigate Somali fraud. Trump singled out Ilhan Omar for marrying her brother.

If Vice President Vance can secure high-profile indictments, or if Ilhan Omar’s citizenship is actually investigated and revoked, this will undoubtedly greatly assist his chances in a 2028 GOP primary.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent was recently speaking to Larry Kudlow of the FOX Business Network about the economy and the topic of socialism and the DSA came up.

Bessent’s description of the voters who are supporting the DSA was positively brutal, but completely accurate.

Victor Davis Hanson and others have described these people as overeducated and downwardly mobile. Bessent’s description wasn’t too far off from that.

So we’re seeing free enterprise move through this hemisphere, very interesting. A lot of overturning of the left and socialism, moving back towards free market economics. I sat next to the finance minister of Poland. He was talking about the reforms. I sat next to the finance minister of Italy, who was moaning and groaning that he can’t get his reforms through, but he had the right idea…

As you said, it was led by Argentina and the reforms there. Everyone said it couldn’t be done. And now we are seeing the inflation drop, the change in economic circumstances.

And Larry, I thought what was most interesting, and when you talk about socialism here in the US, when we look at the demographic of those voters, they are over-educated and under-earning. So these are underachievers who are jealous of those who want to go and work every day.

CNN recently allowed Virginia Governor Abigail Spanberger to blatantly lie on the air, claiming that Trump’s executive order on mail-in ballots would negatively affect members of the U.S. Military serving overseas.

Today, Wolf Blitzer offered a ‘clarification’ on the topic, admitting that what Spanberger said was not true.

It’s too bad that they didn’t have the ability to fact-check Spangerger in real time, but you know the media. They always give Democrats the benefit of doubt.

On Friday’s installment of “The Situation Room,” Blitzer sat down with Democratic Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger to discuss the lawsuit the commonwealth filed alongside other blue states to block President Donald Trump’s executive order from March to curb mail-in voting, which was slapped with a 14-day temporary restraining order last week by a federal judge.

“The continued attacks that we’re seeing from the Trump administration is really just an effort to get people fearful, to get people to stay home, and, in many cases, to eliminate what is a valid, safe, secure way for people to be able to have their voices heard and to vote,” Spanberger said.

“And in Virginia, you have a lot of military personnel who totally rely on mail-in ballots if they want to be able to express their opinions,” Blitzer told the governor.

“That’s true,” Spanberger replied. “It’s members of the military service, of our diplomatic service, intelligence services, people serving overseas in service to our country who get their ballots mailed to them at the various postings throughout the world.”

However, Blitzer made a “quick note of clarification” at the end of Monday’s program in reference to his exchange with Spanberger.

“We discussed legal challenges to the Trump administration’s directives for the Postal Service on mail-in voting. A comment I made suggested that U.S. military and overseas voters’ ballots would be impacted by these directives. I want to be clear right now: those ballots are exempt from the Postal Service’s new rules implementing the president’s March executive order,” Blitzer told viewers.

The US Military on Tuesday evening released unclassified footage of the latest strikes on IRGC targets.

CENTCOM announced the US Military began striking IRGC targets in Iran.

“Today at 12 p.m. ET, U.S. forces began striking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran,” CENTCOM said.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces successfully completed a wave of strikes against Iranian military targets Sept. 1.

U.S. forces struck Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets including air defense sites, radar systems, maritime assets and facilities, mine laying capabilities, and communications sites.

The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members.

More than 50,000 U.S. service members are currently operating across the Middle East and remain vigilant, lethal, and prepared to continue executing operations directed by the Commander in Chief.

President Trump also issued a warning to Tehran amid new military strikes near the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump warned that if Iran retaliates, the US will hit them again “at a much harder and higher level.”
