Boston police are investigating the discovery of a body at a property owned by Conan Harris, the husband of Rep. Ayanna Pressley.

Officers responded to a call at Harris’ property at 25 Malta Street in the Mattapan neighborhood on Saturday afternoon.

The call was later upgraded to a death investigation, with homicide detectives being brought in.

Newsweek reports, “The property, 25 Malta Street, has in the past been listed as the address of his business.”

The deceased has not yet been publicly identified.

Pressley and her husband reportedly do not reside at the Mattapan property, and it has been rented out.

A spokesperson for the congresswoman issued a statement on behalf of the family Saturday evening, saying, “The Congresswoman extends her deepest condolences to the impacted family.”

The Newsweek report adds:

Harris responded to the case in a post to Facebook on Saturday.

“Thank you Everyone for the care and concern, our family is safe,” he wrote. “My heart goes out to the family that lost a loved one today in Mattapan.”

Harris, Pressley’s husband since 2014, previously worked as a senior public safety adviser in Boston City Hall and now operates his own consulting firm.

He previously served ten years in prison for drug trafficking charges.

Details about the cause of death or any potential suspects have not been made public at the time of publishing.

Boston police have not released additional information beyond confirming the death investigation at the address.

A preventable crisis.

Financial Times reported:

“Syrsky’s leadership of the armed forces has become a lightning rod for protests that have grown since Zelensky fired the civilian defense minister [Mykhailo Fedorov] after a deepening rift between the two leaders became untenable.

According to a senior administration official, Zelensky is gathering military commanders this weekend to hear their assessments of the battlefield situation and to interview candidates to take command of the army.”

Zelensky considering dismissing Syrsky comes after protests over Fedorov’s dismissed turned into a campaign against the commander.

“Thousands of Ukrainians gathered outside the presidential administration building in what was one of the largest protests in years. They chanted, ‘Syrsky out!’

Dmytro Koziatynskyi, a military veteran who organised the demonstrations, wrote on X that the movement’s primary demand was Syrsky’s dismissal, followed by Fedorov’s reappointment.”

Fedorov told reporters that Syrsky had blocked his efforts to reform the defense ministry, and accused the General of enabling corruption.

Kyiv Post reported:

“Syrsky issued a brief response thanking Fedorov for his work and urging unity, without directly addressing the allegations. Zelensky acknowledged the breakdown in their working relationship, stating that a president should not have to make such choices in wartime and noting that the two men had failed to find unity.

During his time in office, Fedorov became a prominent figure for advocating domestic drone production, a points-based system for battlefield strikes, and decentralized technological innovation to counter Russia’s manpower advantage.

His removal sparked an immediate backlash on social media, erupting into demonstrations in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Kharkiv, and other cities.”

US Central Command announced the completion of an eighth consecutive night of attacks against Iran last night after two US servicemembers were killed by Iranian airstrikes in Jordan. 

As The Gateway Pundit reported, the US military said earlier on Saturday the strikes were meant to “swiftly punish Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces who launched attacks against American service members in Jordan.”

CENTCOM released footage from the five and a half hour mission.

US forces targeted Iranian military coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, maritime capabilities, missile and drone storage sites, and the IRGC forces that attacked American troops, CENTCOM said.

CENTCOM said in a press release:

TAMPA, Fla. — U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) completed another round of strikes against Iran on July 18 at 11:30 p.m. ET, at the Commander in Chief’s direction.

During the eighth consecutive night of U.S strikes, CENTCOM forces successfully hit Iranian military coastal surveillance and air defense facilities, maritime capabilities, and missile and drone storage sites to continue degrading Iranian military capabilities. American military assets also targeted Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces that launched attacks against U.S. service members in Jordan on July 17.

More than 50,000 U.S. men and women in uniform are operating across the Middle East. They remain highly vigilant, focused, lethal, and ready.

Meanwhile, the US State Department issued a new travel advisory on Saturday as the war is expected to escalate further.

President Trump previously threatened to escalate the war further by targeting Iran’s energy, oil, and transportation infrastructure starting this week.

The President has further refused to rule out a ground invasion of Iran and suggested that he would take over Iran’s oil export hub of Kharg Island.

The State Department issued the new worldwide caution advisory, warning of a “complex” security environment, with the potential for unforeseen escalation,” including the targeting of US interests around the world and outside of the Middle East.

The Trump administration is working to remove illegal aliens from the banking system to encourage more self-deportations.

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller announced that the Treasury Department has issued new guidance directing financial institutions to limit services to individuals without legal immigration status.

The move is based on a May executive order aimed at protecting the integrity of the American financial system and reducing incentives for illegal immigration.

On Friday, Miller appeared on the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show and explained that illegal aliens “don’t live in the shadows” but instead fully participate in the financial system with bank accounts, credit cards, and direct deposit payments.

“We are not going to allow illegal aliens to use banking services in this country,” Miller stated. “You know, contrary to popular perception, the stupid phrase about ‘illegal aliens living in the shadows.’ Illegal aliens don’t live in the shadows! Illegal aliens have credit cards.”

Miller explained that once illegal aliens lose access to capital, it will become “a major driver of self-deportation.”

“They have bank accounts, and they are paid with direct deposit. So illegal aliens fully participate in the commercial systems, the financial systems of America — shutting that down is a massive engine for deportation.”

Miller emphasized that the policy targets the way illegal aliens sustain their presence in the United States through employment and financial services. Access to banking services, loans, and credit has long allowed illegal immigrants to establish roots and avoid detection.

“The next step in this process is us meeting individually with banks and financial institutions on cooperating with us to remove the illegal aliens from the banking system,” Miller explained.

The foundation for this policy is Executive Order 14406, which was signed by President Trump in May. It was titled “Restoring Integrity to America’s Financial System.”

The order directs the Treasury Department to issue advisories identifying red flags associated with non-work-authorized people, including the use of Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs) to open accounts or obtain credit without verified lawful status.

It also calls for enhanced due diligence by banks and highlights risks such as payroll tax evasion, labor trafficking, and the structural inability of illegal aliens to repay loans if they face deportation or lose employment.
