It is now known what caused the historic Nepal floods on Wednesday that resulted in hundreds of people dying and thousands more going missing, including dozens of Americans.

As the BBC reported, the US Geological Survey revealed the flash floods were triggered by a massive high altitude glacial collapse in a mountainous area near the Nepal-Tibet border.

This triggered seismic activity and catastrophic downstream impacts along the Trishuli River, while floodwaters spread across several regions in Nepal.

CNN notes that major swaths of ice up in the Himalayas are melting, and rocky mountainsides are becoming less solid and more fluid.

This has made Nepal more vulnerable to disasters like this.

The United States Geological Survey also reported recording a 4.4-magnitude quake around the time the security footage was taken at the Nepal-Tibet border.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, several videos went viral showing a depiction of the Biblical flood in the landlocked nation.

As one can see in the videos, the catastrophic flash flooding materializes as a massive surge of water descends from the mountains and destroys a border crossing building, as dozens of terrified people can be seen running for their lives.

At last count, more than 350 souls have perished in the floods. More than 1,300 people also remain missing or unaccounted for across the region.

This number includes at least 65 American citizens.

Nick Timothy MP, Britain’s shadow justice secretary, just put numbers on something that’s been muttered about for years. Ministry of Justice data shows one in five Muslim prisoners in England and Wales is white. That’s nearly four times the rate in the general population. White Muslim inmates went from 2,767 in 2022 to 3,218 by June 2025. Overall, Muslim numbers in prison rose from 14,037 to 16,051 in the same stretch. They’re now about 18 percent of the prison population in a country where Muslims are only 6.5 percent of everyone else.

Timothy says the gap “raises serious questions.” Experts have been warning for a long time about Muslim gangs pushing conversions behind bars. He wants the Labour government to look into it properly. The Ministry of Justice’s answer is the usual line: they don’t tolerate intimidation or faith-based coercion. Okay. That still doesn’t explain the figures.

Not every conversion is forced, of course. Some guys convert for the structure, the food, or just to have people watching their back. Some white Muslims grew up in the faith. Fair enough. It still doesn’t account for the size of the shift.

Jonathan Hall KC, who reviews terrorism legislation, found Muslims running parts of prisons as self-styled “emirs.” They pull in lonely or vulnerable inmates with food, advice, small gifts — and sometimes the threat of violence.

He named Usman Khan, the London Bridge attacker, who spent years inside pushing other prisoners to take Muslim names and dress the part. Colin Bloom’s review picked up the phrase “convert or get hurt,” and Qurans were left on new guys’ beds. Don’t identify as Muslim, and you can lose the protection of the main group on the wing. Ian Acheson, who looked at this for a previous government, said some of it is just practical: you convert because that’s who runs the place.

There’s an official side to this now. Figures linked to Timothy’s data show 140 Muslim prison chaplains against 87 Church of England and 94 Catholic. A wider parliamentary count in 2025 put the Muslim total at 263 out of more than 1,200 faith workers. Employed Muslim chaplains went from almost nothing in the early 2000s to well over a hundred later on. No other non-Christian group has anything close.

Most chaplains just do the job — visits, Friday prayers, classes, checking on people at risk. But for some, dawa (inviting people to Islam) is part of it. One Muslim prison chaplain has written that she “gives Dawah to the captives,” hands out books, and helps inmates take the shahadah, including English women. Once you register as Muslim, you get regular visits, Islamic classes, and Friday prayers from the professional chaplains. For a lot of these men, it’s the first proper teaching they’ve ever had. When the strongest group on the wing is already Muslim, that setup works as a pipeline.

This isn’t new. Fifteen years ago, people were already calling British prisons training grounds for jihadis. In 2010, the Royal United Services Institute said up to 800 Muslim prisoners could be pulled in by hardliners already inside and come out more dangerous. The Ministry of Justice argued with the exact number. They didn’t argue that recruiters were there.

A BBC investigation the same year found radical Muslim gangs in places like Belmarsh, Long Lartin and Whitemoor — forced conversions, pressure on non-Muslims, control of the drugs and phone trade. At Whitemoor, there was fear over ordinary things like cooking bacon. Richard Reid (the shoe bomber) and Muktar Said Ibrahim (one of the 2005 London plotters) both radicalized while doing time for other crimes. Lord Reid, a former Home Secretary, called prisons “a very, very fertile ground for recruitment.”

Reviews kept coming after that. The pattern didn’t change. Short-staffed prisons, overcrowding, and staff scared of being called racist led to what officers themselves described as appeasement. Terrorist prisoners are spread around instead of being isolated, the way France and the Netherlands do it. Muslim numbers in prison almost tripled from the early 2000s. A bigger chaplaincy didn’t shrink the gangs.

Americans shouldn’t shrug this off as a British problem. U.S. prisons see plenty of conversions to Islam, too. The difference is Britain has already let Muslim networks, criminal gangs, and clerical authorities operate under the same licenses that it can no longer police.

These chaplains then act like most of the conversions are just spiritual. The new numbers don’t prove every convert was threatened. They do show the state still won’t properly separate real faith from a protection racket and quiet dawa.

The old “training camp” warning isn’t old news. It’s still how the place works.

Stunning footage captured the moment a Florida man, who was wanted on several charges, slammed head-on into a school bus full of children before fleeing the scene.

The Florida Sheriff’s Office revealed on its Facebook page that on Tuesday morning, around 7:20 A.M., a deputy conducting school zone traffic enforcement in front of The Villages Intermediate Center saw 23-year-old Qahiem Williams going roughly 17 MPH over the speed limit.

Once the deputy made a U-turn and activated his lights to initiate the traffic stop, Williams slammed the gas and side-swiped two vehicles at the traffic light.

As one will notice in the video, this resulted in a head-on collision with a Sumter County school bus carrying 19 children.

Fortunately, every single child on the bus escaped the incident unharmed.

Williams then exited the vehicle and tried to run toward Walmart.

He was quickly apprehended and taken into custody.

Justin Callaway, whose 10-year-old daughter was on the bus, spoke with FOX 35 Orlando following the horrifying incident.

“The first thing out of her mouth was, ‘Daddy, I’m scared. I don’t know what to do,” Callaway told FOX 35 Orlando. “So I’m freaking out at this point. I’m trying to stay calm for her.”

Callaway added that he had not planned on getting his daughter a phone anytime soon, but that changed after the crash.

“I literally went yesterday and bought my daughter a flip phone because of the situation,” he said.

Per WESH, Williams was charged with the following offenses: fleeing law enforcement, driving with a suspended license, possession of marijuana, and fleeing the scene of a crash. Deputies also said more charges could be added.

The sheriff’s office also said Williams had two outstanding Sumter County warrants for fleeing and eluding and driving with a suspended license.

The Shapiro administration’s politically convenient measles narrative is rapidly falling apart.

On Tuesday, Shapiro and Bogen stood at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health’s Women and Babies Hospital and announced two unvaccinated Lancaster County residents had died in “measles-associated” cases. They refused ages, locations, underlying conditions, or whether either death was actually certified as measles. They did release vaccination status — because that was the political payload.

Shapiro called the deaths “completely preventable,” blamed vaccine “misinformation,” and used the moment to scold Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after a phone call Shapiro himself described as “blunt.” He is running for re-election in November. The timing was not subtle.

Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni told local reporters his office handled no measles deaths. What his office is investigating is a newborn who tested positive for measles antibodies after death and died from a lacerated spleen.

The forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy “did not feel it was related to measles,” Diamantoni said. The office is still looking at whether the mother had measles at the time of birth. There is no enlarged spleen noted on the autopsy, which undercuts the usual measles-complication story.

Diamantoni also told ABC27 by email that “no deaths attributed to measles have been referred or investigated by the office.”

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. did not mince words.

“Governor Shapiro shattered tradition and violated standard public health policy by refusing to share information with the County Health Department or CDC. …

“Governor Shapiro got his headlines. He correctly gambled that the slavish mainstream media would dutifully amplify his scolding without any effort to check his facts.”

Kennedy also said CDC staff still cannot independently confirm the two deaths because Pennsylvania will not share the case files the way other states have during this outbreak.

Late Wednesday, Health Secretary Dr. Debra Bogen posted a lengthy statement on the Pennsylvania Department of Health account. She said she had “thoroughly reviewed the case investigation information” and could “sadly confirm” two measles-associated deaths. Both individuals tested positive for measles, she said.

The cases were allegedly reported to the CDC’s measles team on Tuesday morning, contradicting Secretary RFK Jr.’s claim that the Shapiro administration was refusing to share information with the County Health Department or the CDC.

"As a pediatrician with more than 30 years of caring for children, I have thoroughly reviewed the case investigation information and sadly can confirm that there were two recent measles-associated deaths in Lancaster County, which were reported to the CDC’s measles response team early Tuesday morning.

DOH’s Epidemiology team thoroughly investigated and verified both individuals tested positive for measles. The information was not reported to the public until the results of the epidemiological investigations were confirmed.
Under state law, PA DOH is not required to report deaths to coroners.

Our staff have regular meetings with professional staff at the CDC, including additional meetings specifically about these cases — in fact, as recently as this afternoon. I deeply appreciate the supportive working relationship between the PA DOH and CDC professional staff.

As a pediatrician, public health professional, and mother, my heart goes out to the impacted families and I have, and will continue to do, everything in my power to protect their confidentiality."

Lancaster County Commissioner Josh Parsons quickly dismantled that response.

“This appears to be false information,” Parsons wrote.

“For the 1st case they are pointing to an infant that died WITH measles, but not FROM it.”

Parsons then cited Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni:

“Lancaster County Coroner Steve Diamantoni said the cause of death was not from the measles. The newborn died shortly after birth from a laceration of the spleen, although measles antibodies were present in postmortem testing.”

Parsons continued:

“The 2nd case there is zero information on. They have a responsibility to provide it. Lastly, deaths from contagious disease such as measles ARE required to be reported to the county coroner.”

This appears to be false information.

The Philadelphia Inquirer independently reported that the infant’s primary cause of death was a laceration of the spleen. Diamantoni said the forensic pathologist who performed the autopsy did not believe the death was related to measles.

In other words, the state counted an infant who tested positive for measles after death, even though the county coroner said the child did not die from the disease, and then presented the case to the public as one of Pennsylvania’s first measles-related deaths in 35 years.

The Health Department later admitted that it uses the term “measles-associated” whenever laboratory or epidemiological evidence of measles is present, even if the disease is not determined to be the immediate cause of death.

“PA DOH uses the term ‘measles-associated’ when laboratory or epidemiologic evidence of measles is present, but the disease may not be assessed by the medical certifier or coroner to be the immediate cause of death,” the administration acknowledged, according to CBS 21.

Sound familiar? It should. This is the same “died WITH vs. died FROM” shell game Democrats and public-health bureaucrats ran for years during COVID

That is a massive distinction that the Shapiro administration failed to emphasize before the media blasted the politically useful “measles deaths” narrative across the country.

“It seems like they are now walking that back,” Parsons told CBS 21.

Bogen’s sweeping assertion that state law does not require the Health Department to report deaths to coroners is false.

Pennsylvania law specifically lists deaths “known or suspected as due to contagious disease and constituting a public hazard” among the cases county coroners are directed to investigate, according to the CDC’s summary of Pennsylvania coroner statutes.

The Gateway Pundit previously reported that U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called out the massive discrepancies and the state’s sudden refusal to share basic factual data.

RFK Jr.: “We are trying to get information about those two casualties. According to a statement that was released by the Lancaster County Commissioner today, they cannot find any measles deaths in Lancaster County, and they complain that the governor will not give them that information.

"CDC tried to get that information from the governor yesterday, and the state is refusing to cooperate. We’re doing a better job than any country in the world at controlling the measles outbreak. This is a worldwide epidemic, and it’s happening because of the lockdowns, because many kids did not get vaccinated during the lockdowns."

Parsons also noted that outreach to Penn Medicine LGH, the Governor’s office, and local public safety directors yielded absolute silence or a total lack of answers. What are they hiding?

Parson wrote: "When officials who hold a big press conference and make big headlines – those officials owe us more than the headlines. They owe us the whole truth. They owe us accurate information by which the people of Lancaster County can make decisions about their health and safety.

It has been about 24 hours since the press conference. We do not have any answers.

Any deaths from measles are required by law to be reported to the Lancaster County Coroner’s Office. I have spoken at length with both a senior staff member from that office and the Coroner himself. They currently have zero measles deaths in Lancaster County. They have one death of a person who died WITH measles, but not from measles. We do not know if the state is counting that one. Nor do we know anything about the other death that officials reported yesterday.

Is there an unlikely scenario where a patient from here got measles and sought care outside of Lancaster County and died there and it was reported to another county coroner? Yes. I am open to that or other unlikely possibilities. But if one of these unlikely scenarios is the case, the people holding the press conference had, and currently have, a responsibility to provide that information.

The law DOES allow release of more information. Demographic information that does not identify the patient may be released.

I reached out to Penn Medicine LGH. No response.

I reached out the Governor’s office. No response.

I talked with our Lancaster County Department of Public Safety Director. He has no additional information from the state.

I asked questions this morning at our Board of Commissioners meeting of Commissioner Alice Yoder who was at the press conference yesterday and is a former official at Penn Medicine LGH. She did not have any answers. (This exchange is on video and will be available later today.)

LEAH LITMAN, UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN LAW SCHOOL: Unfortunately, the Supreme Court, or at least the Republican appointees, have shown they have a ton of zeal for basically cannibalizing and eliminating common sense gun control regulation because they’ve adopted an interpretation of the Second Amendment that maintains firearms that didn’t exist at the time the Second Amendment was ratified — those are still constitutionally protected.

And yet governments have to show that the regulation of those firearms that’s used today resembles the kind of regulations that were applied to firearms that looked substantially different than firearms do today. That is, the government would have to show that it is regulating AR-15’s in the same way that the government’s regulated especially dangerous weapons that existed in the 1700s and 1800s — like, I don’t know, muskets or bayonets. And based on that logic, the court last term struck down two gun control regulations, one at the federal level and one at the state level. So I think it’s very concerning that the court took up this particular case.

The left will never stop pushing for greater gun control.

And freedom loving Americans must never, ever give up their guns.
