A shocking video has emerged showing the moment a shirtless youth executed an innocent woman in a supposedly random attack just outside a Detroit liquor store last week.
As The Metro News Detroit reported, 57-year-old Faith Williams was with her niece near a liquor store when a 15-year-old boy ambushed them. The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Friday in the 15500 block of East Warren Avenue near Chalmers.
The youth shot both Williams and her niece. While the girl survived, Williams did not.

Williams opens the door, and the boy walks past them. But just when it appears he’s about to depart, he turns around and shoots Williams in the head.
The youth then shoots the niece.

Sources told Metro News Detroit that the attack was completely random, but the police have not confirmed this piece of information.
The youth fled the scene, but Detroit Police arrested him Saturday morning and took him into custody.
The investigation into the incident remains ongoing.
Williams’ loved ones mourned her passing on Facebook.
“I will miss everything about Faith Williams. Rest peacefully, beautiful soul,” Aiesha Russ wrote .
“This is sad. I’m so sorry this Happened to you, Faith Williams. I’m going to miss all your messages you used to send me. The world is wicked,” wrote Lakeithia DramaFree Hedgespeth.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact the Detroit Police Department’s Homicide Unit at 313-596-5260.

Major Brandon Oberkamp’s Struggle Highlights Military’s Treatment of Shot Refusers

Major Brandon Oberkamp’s promotion to Lieutenant Colonel was rescinded, and he received a general characterization of service for misconduct after more than two decades of service, simply because he opposed the COVID-19 shot.
This Marine Corps officer’s story reflects a broader issue within the military regarding the treatment of personnel based on their vaccination choices. A memo from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, dated May 7, 2025, emphasized the necessity for careful consideration of claims by service members requesting accommodations related to the COVID-19 shot mandate.
The memo explicitly stated, “The BCM/NRs should carefully consider claims by individuals who filed formal requests for administrative or medical accommodation, including requests for religious accommodation, related to the Department’s previous COVID-19 vaccine mandate, yet continued to serve. Adverse actions in a Service member’s records solely associated with their refusal to take a COVID-19 vaccination or seek an exemption from that COVID-19 vaccine mandate should be removed (emphasis mine).”
What’s more, both President Donald Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth have emphasized this message numerous times. Still, service members continue to be trampled upon by nothing more than an empty promise and an ongoing fight against bureaucracy.
In 2019, Oberkamp was selected to lead an aviation detachment on a scheduled deployment.
As COVID-19 cases began to emerge in the United States in the beginning of 2020, he recognized the impending challenges ahead. He would reject receiving the experimental COVID-19 shot the same year, even suggesting another commander for the detachment who was willing, qualified, and had received the shot.
This was not an avoidance of duty, but rather the gut-wrenching acknowledgment of the future outcome of going on an overseas deployment without the so-called vaccination, under the current political COVID pressures. He understood that the assignment would impact his mental, emotional, financial, and overall well-being.
In 2021, prior to former Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin mandating the shot for the military, Oberkamp conveyed his dissent regarding the administration of the experimental injection to the nation’s Armed Forces in a respectful and diplomatic way.
Service members faced ongoing bullying, belittling, coercion, harassment, and deception regarding the shot, which quickly led to a rise in those receiving it. By August of that same year, the shot became mandatory for all service members.
As the pressure increased to get the shot, and he continued to oppose it, Oberkamp was ridiculed and ostracized by his leadership. He was subsequently overlooked for collateral leadership positions and pushed to the margins, with instructions to remain silent about both the shot requirements and his objection. What command had done here is blur the line between the “vaccinated” and the immunized, as others of all ranks resisted the shot.
Oberkamp didn’t slink away from the fact he was unvaccinated while continuing his duties, even crossing command-imposed boundaries to do so. Due to the established protocols regarding this matter, he was confined to his quarters for a duration of 12 days. Shockingly, he was forced to ask his subordinates to bring him food and water, as he was not offered any meals or drinks, which would be required during quarantine.
This period of isolation was not just a fleeting punishment; it was a weapon that had been wielded against him in the past and continues to be so to this present day.
He was stripped of his command, and when he returned home, in addition to previous charges, he was met with Article 92s Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). This military law deems it a crime to disobey a lawful order, regulation, or assigned duty, particularly in the context of not receiving the shot in this case. Notably, the mandate has since been ruled “unlawful as implemented.”
Relegated to a corner desk, Oberkamp was assigned trivial tasks that seemed to lack any significance. Then, by fall of 2021, he reached his breaking point. With his career in ruins and facing an impending Board of Inquiry, he chose to resign after 22 and a half years of service rather than face additional administrative consequences.
In 2025, fueled by Trump and Hegseth’s commitment to address injustices faced by service members impacted by the shot, he petitioned the Board of Correction for Naval Records (BCNR) to upgrade his characterization of service to honorable. The petition was denied. Are 20-plus years of honorable service meaningless to the Board?
After countless pages of formal documentation for legal proceedings, several attorneys, expenditures in the tens of thousands, and a more favorable political landscape, he believed he would experience relief from the BCNR, but sadly, nothing has changed.
Senior ranking individuals have been allowed to embellish facts in official statements, weaponize medical protocols against him, and have even gone as far as using inadmissible circumstances to prevent a fair hearing. This has cascaded into an irreversible vilification of Oberkamp’s character with no means of recourse.
Time and time again, the BCNR process has been regarded as unreliable and incapable. This ongoing struggle has only compounded his sense of loss, leaving him feeling isolated and disconnected from a world he once cherished.
The whole experience has been immensely painful, inflicting deep wounds on both his personal and professional life. He would like to take pride in the work he devoted his life to. He would like to be present with his friends and colleagues to honor changes of command, retirements, and promotions, instead of coming up with excuses for his absence due to the overwhelming anxiety he feels when around service members and military installations.
Had it not been for the military’s tyrannical mandate, Oberkamp likely would not have found himself in a position of temporary homelessness. He likely wouldn’t have lost his son to suicide, nor would his marriage and home life be in such turmoil. In fact, he wouldn’t even feel the need to feign busyness just to escape the suffocating solitude that now envelops him.
According to his attorney, retired Air Force Lt. Col. Davis Younts, this case is “one of the clearest and most obvious examples of the mistreatment of an officer during the unlawful COVID mandate.” He elaborated, stating, “Other than being a committed Christian and standing by his good faith belief the mandate was unlawful as implemented, [Oberkamp] did not engage in any knowing or intentional misconduct.”
Younts lamented that Oberkamp was “treated like a dangerous criminal and subjected to the kind of treatment that under military law would be considered unlawful pretrial punishment if his case had gone to trial.”
“I was shocked and deeply disappointed at the Board’s failure to grant relief,” he continued, expressing hope that senior officials within the Department of the Navy and the Department of War will step in to rectify what he termed “an injustice.”
As Oberkamp reflects on his situation, he is left to wonder what the future holds for those who dare to speak out against unjust mandates in an institution that once embodied honor and respect. In all its bureaucracy, the BCNR review of his case has failed him. This leaves many questioning the fairness and thoroughness of the process, as it neglects the myriad experiences that shape a person’s military career, integrity, and character.
Although the BCNR functions as an independent administrative review board within the Department of the Navy, the Acting Secretary of the Navy, Hung Cao, possesses ultimate authority over the Board’s decisions and final actions. Will Secretary Cao do what’s right and take action on behalf of Oberkamp when others have failed him?
And once again, it has to be asked: Why will it take the intervention of a senior Pentagon official to get the BCNR to what is just and correct the errors and remove the injustices in the official records of service members such as Oberkamp?

Romania’s globalist, Brussels-backed government has escalated its language of military confrontation, declaring itself ready to respond with force to security threats from the war in Ukraine—rhetoric that veteran journalist Ion Cristoiu warns is nothing less than an attempt to condition the Romanian public for a war with Russia that the population never sought and does not want.
Foreign Minister Oana Țoiu announced that Bucharest already has “a set of measures prepared” after consulting the increasingly unpopular President Nicușor Dan, who is widely viewed is lack popular legitimacy.
She explicitly linked these preparations to drone incidents near Romania’s borders and in the Black Sea, stating: “We are prepared to respond both militarily and diplomatically in order to defend the safety of our citizens on our territory.”
In a country still reeling from political instability and exceedingly deep public distrust, this type of language from the highest levels of government seem to many as far more than routine defense talk. They signal a readiness to treat spillover from a neighboring war as grounds for direct military engagement with Russia.
The most-publicized incident occurred on Aug. 20 near the Neptun Deep offshore gas project. A commercial vessel reported a small maritime drone drifting several hundred meters from the platform.
Romania scrambled two F-16s; one fired its cannon, and naval specialists later destroyed the craft, confirming it carried explosives. Several hundred workers were on the platform.
Defense Minister Radu Miruță framed the action as necessary to protect lives and critical infrastructure.Ukrainian authorities told Romania the drone was not theirs. Romanian officials promptly pointed toward Russia, despite Țoiu herself admitting there was no evidence Moscow had deliberately directed the craft at Neptun Deep.
That important admission has been largely buried beneath the government’s militaristic framing, which appears to make no distinction between a weapon drifting out of a chaotic war zone and a deliberate attack on a NATO member.
Cristoiu argues the political establishment has been far too eager to erase that distinction and turn every incident into evidence of Russian aggression against Romania.
The Aug. 20 episode was not isolated. Nine days earlier, Romanian divers destroyed two Gerbera-type drones near the same area. Ukraine again denied ownership.
Then, on Aug. 22, specialists examined fragments found near Tuzla beach that contained an explosive charge and were assessed as coming from a Ukrainian-made drone.
The usual boisterous voices were silent this time. Prosecutors were informed, but there was no comparable political theater or talk of military readiness. Cristoiu seized on this double standard.
He accused the authorities of manufacturing “real national hysteria” whenever a drone can be presented as Russian, while treating a dangerous Ukrainian-origin device with far less urgency. For him, the problem is not the decision to destroy hazardous objects — Romania should neutralize any explosive device threatening its territory, regardless of origin.
The problem is the selective political narrative that turns accidental spillover into proof that Russia is attacking Romania and that military confrontation is the logical next step. Cristoiu has called for a sober regional diplomatic approach instead of escalating rhetoric.
Romania, he argues, should convene the Black Sea littoral states and make clear to both Moscow and Kyiv that their war must not endanger neighboring countries. “Romania should convene a summit, at least of the riparian countries,” he said — a stance that prioritizes Romanian security without treating every drifting weapon as a pretext for wider conflict.
The Romanian government, led by President Nicușor Dan, presents a very different picture.
Officials claim Russia’s intensifying attacks on Ukraine inevitably raise risks for Romania, and that the state must respond. Țoiu defended the closure of Russia’s consulate in Constanța as “necessary and correct.”
President Dan has condemned “irresponsible incidents” by Russia. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has described Black Sea developments as part of an escalating hybrid warfare campaign. Cristoiu rejects this framing as dangerous.
He says the official emphasis on Russia, combined with repeated statements that Romania is ready to respond militarily, constitutes the “psychological preparation” of the population for possible war. He has accused Dan personally of wanting to “drag Romania into a war with the Russian Federation.”
While no formal plan to enter the Russia-Ukraine war has been announced, the pattern of selective outrage, heightened rhetoric, and talk of military readiness raises legitimate questions about the government’s true intentions — questions Cristoiu has tied to Romania’s broader crisis of political legitimacy after the cancellation of the 2024 presidential election and unanswered questions surrounding Dan’s rise to power.
Indeed, Romania does face real security challenges on NATO’s exposed Black Sea flank. The Defense Ministry reports numerous drone incidents, debris, and mines since the war began. Strengthening defenses is clearly prudent.
This, for Romania’s growing number of anti-war and national-conservative voices, is where the pro-Brussels establishment is most exposed, with some arguing that it appears more interested in aligning with external agendas than in keeping Romania out of a conflict that could devastate the country.
The government insists its talk of military readiness is purely defensive. Țoiu’s own admission that there is no proof the Neptun Deep drone was deliberately sent by Russia undermines the more alarmist narrative.
In a region where one misstep or one exaggerated claim can produce catastrophic consequences, the government’s willingness to blur distinctions and raise the temperature appears not as sober statecraft but like a dangerous effort to condition the public for escalation

New York City Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani is embarking upon a socialist agenda during his first year in office.
As wealthy residents flee the Big Apple to avoid higher taxes, Florida is emerging as a major destination for their resources and businesses — a reality in which the Sunshine State is reveling.
The Florida Chamber of Commerce launched a Times Square billboard campaign calling Mamdani the “Economic Developer of the Year.”
“We wanted to thank him for the jobs, the companies, the people that they’re pushing out of New York — and a lot of them are coming to Florida,” Florida Chamber of Commerce CEO Mark Wilson told Fox Business on Aug. 10.
Wilson drew attention to the broader threat toward freedom represented by Mamdani and other democratic socialists.
Florida is taking its rivalry with New York straight to Times Square.

“What Mayor Mamdani is doing is dangerous for the country, right? It’s bad for New Yorkers. It’s bad for New York. It’s very harmful for the country,” Wilson continued.
“We can choose free enterprise, which is what America was built on, or we can choose to destroy that,” he noted. “And so, what we’re hoping happens from this campaign is that we refocus America on free enterprise.”
The data from official government sources show that residents are indeed voting with their feet.
The state of Florida is currently gaining $2.4 million of net taxable income each hour, while New York is losing $1.1 million per hour.
Every day, Florida gains a net 551 residents, while New York loses 115.
Wilson said that tax policy is a major driver of businesses and families moving into the state.
“Florida’s lowered taxes over 50 times in the last 15 years. And we have record revenues coming in because people want to be here. And when the economy grows, tax revenues grow. That’s how free enterprise works,” he remarked.
Wilson also expressed hope that New York desists from their socialist policies, creating a better and more free life for residents of the Empire State.
“Even though Florida is winning right now, we’re not looking for New York to lose. We’re hoping that these other states will say ‘no’ to this move towards socialism and say ‘yes’ to the very policies that our country was founded on,” he said.
“This isn’t about spiking a football or looking at the scoreboard about Florida versus New York. This is really about trying to save our country from crazy.”
