The Mayor has called them ‘beasts.’

I don’t know about you, dear reader, but in my city (Rio de Janeiro), the plague of the bicycles and e-bikes has turned our already chaotic traffic into something far worse.

In the streets, over the pavement, riding in the wrong way, it’s only a matter of time until some city authority has to do something drastic about it.

And, of course, Rio is far from the only place where this is taking place. Take the United Kingdom, for example, where statistics from the Department for Transport (DfT) show that the number of pedestrians seriously injured by cyclists hit a record level last year.

The Telegraph reported:

“The injury toll from serious collisions with a bike or e-bike in 2025 was up more than two-thirds compared with pre-pandemic levels, despite the number of miles cycled rising by only 1 per cent.

In 2025, 234 pedestrians were seriously injured by cyclists across England, Scotland and Wales, a 71 per cent increase compared with 2016 when 136 such injuries were logged by police.

[…] A record 70 people were hit by cyclists on ‘pedestrian crossing facilities’, which include zebra, pelican and toucan crossings, as well as controversial floating bus stops where those on foot have to cross a cycle lane.”

In the meantime, the mayor of the Italian tourist city of Como has banned riding bicycles in some areas of the city after he was hit by an electric one.

BBC reported:

“Alessandro Rapinese said the ban was necessary to improve public safety. It means from September, cyclists will have to dismount through an area of around 30 streets.

He told Italian news agency Ansa: ‘People act based on their own experiences and I know what it’s like to be hit by one of these beasts’.”

“The measure put forward by Rapinese is part of a package of new traffic regulations, establishing a Limited Traffic Zone (ZTL) to manage tourist growth, and which impose stricter rules on cars and vans in the city center.

Many of the roads covered by the ban are the widest in the old town and are popular with delivery drivers. The measure applies to both electric and push bikes, as the Italian highway code does not distinguish between models.”

A Simi Valley, California, high school football coach went viral this week after firing a football directly into the private parts of one of his players, and he was later sent packing.

In footage of the incident shared by KABC, second-year Royal High School coach Adam Brubaker is seen angrily walking over to a player, waving his arms, and dropping several curse words.

He then kicks a ball lying on the ground, which strikes another player between the legs. It’s not clear if this was the kid Brubaker was screaming at.

The player immediately collapses to the ground in agony while other adults and players rush over to his assistance.

WATCH:

Following the incident, Royal High School’s principal released a statement to the football families announcing that Brubaker had been fired.

Here is the full statement:

I want to provide you with an update regarding our football program. The District has completed its review of the incident from earlier this week.

As a result, the leadership of Royal High School’s football program will immediately change. Cody MacArthur will serve as Head Coach for the Royal High School football team tonight.

An interim head coach will be named shortly. Our focus now is to support our student-athletes, provide stability for the program, and help the team move forward together.

We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding throughout this process and look forward to supporting our players and coaches for the remainder of the season. Go Highlanders!

In an interview with KABC, Brubaker called the incident a total accident and a complete fluke.

“I kicked the ball, and it hit him in the groin area, and instantly I felt like I was going to pass out,” Brubaker told the outlet. “I feel obviously a great deal of remorse for what happened. It’s a one in a million shot.”

Brubaker also explained that he became enraged when he noticed one of the players violently pulling a running back to the ground. He said he does not allow this during drills because of the risk of injury.

Despite this, Burbaker told KABC that he understood and accepted the school’s decision to terminate him.

“Nothing has been harder in my life than the last three days. It has been an absolute trying time for me, my wife, my kids,” he said.

A champagne Democrat socialist (DSA) with an incredibly appropriate nickname is getting dragged after posting a quite telling message on social media.

NYC resident Grace Ryan, a 25-year-old chocolate heiress from Ohio who graduated from NYU this spring, went on X last week to defend recent criticism she has received for being a rich girl cheering on socialism.

“Everyone’s trying to dunk on me for being a progressive from a privileged background but like have yall never heard of noblesse oblige?” Ryan wrote. “I have a moral obligation to use my advantages to help those who are struggling.”

Most Americans, of course, have not. And not surprisingly, X roasted her all over again for this ultra-condescending post.

One fact they continuously pointed out was that Ryan lives in a rent-stabilized department despite her family’s wealth.

As The New York Post notes, the idea of “noblesse oblige” lets the rich keep their fortunes as long as they share a small portion of it. But the DSA advocates for a classless society, as Karl Marx did, a goal Ryan clearly does not believe in advancing.

Ryan, who has nicknamed herself “Lulu Lenin,” lives up to her nickname so well that she could pose as the poster child for champagne socialism in a GOP ad.

Her rich daddy is even a registered Republican!

From the New York Post:

Ryan, who attended the $35,000-a-year Columbus Academy, regularly takes to social media to defend both her socialist views and her family fortune.

Her father, Michael Ryan, a registered Republican, made his fortune buying Columbus’ Maramor Chocolates and turning it into a $10 million national brand found in almost all candy isles.

She recently flaunted her summer at a family lake house, posting photos on X of herself puffing a cigar on a boat in a $400 Ralph Lauren stars-and-stripes sweater — and posing beside a $115,000 Hummer parked in the driveway.

The recent graduate from $70,000-a-year New York University with a Bachelor of Arts also posted about being at a beach club in Montauk last month and attending $50-a-class reformer Pilates in the Big Apple.

Of course, like a true privileged leftist, she makes sure to whine about paying too much for her new rent-stabilized apartment, which costs over $3,000 a month.

“East Williamsburg was invented by my landlord to charge me an extra $100/month on my rent,” she said on X last year of her $3,170 a month Bushwick studio.

The pad, in a new luxury building with a gym, squash court, rooftop, doorman, and elevator, is rent-stabilized through a city program that gives developers tax breaks in exchange for including affordable units.

Given how difficult life is =for millions of Americans, stuff like this may be enough for conservatives to embrace true socialism for people like Ryan. Her mindset might actually change then.

ABLECHILD: Lindsay Clancy Murder Case More Mental Health Funding or Scrutiny of Psychiatric Drugging?

ABLECHILD: Lindsay Clancy Murder Case More Mental Health Funding or Scrutiny of Psychiatric Drugging?

Republished with permission from AbleChild.

The murder trial of Lindsay Clancy is about as high-profile as any murder case gets and with that comes the usual intense debate and discussion about whether postpartum mental health care needs to be expanded. On social media sites, the conversation about the Massachusetts mother’s culpability in the three children’s murders is, in a phrase, less than polite.

Advocates of psychiatric services argue that gaps in postpartum mental health care have been exposed and those advocates demand increased spending. Others argue that the psychiatric services provided to Clancy are responsible for the murderous behavior and the responsibility lies with the medical community for failing to consider Clancy’s physiological condition.

In the United States, where the modern mental health model is all about diagnosing and drugging, it makes sense that Clancy’s tele psychiatrist would prescribe a mind-altering antidepressant, Zoloft, before ever considering what is causing the symptoms. Recall that Clancy first advised the newbie psychiatrist that she was experiencing insomnia and felt a great deal of anxiety about returning to work as a labor and delivery nurse.

Ironically, it is common knowledge that Sertraline, also known as Zoloft, carries insomnia as a known side effect causing increased difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep, affecting about 20% of those who take the drug. Furthermore, none of the drug combinations (drug cocktails) prescribed to Clancy had been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as “treatment” for insomnia, anxiety or depression.

Of course, advocates of increased spending on postpartum research believe that there is a need for more research into the symptoms of postpartum depression and making specialized care facilities available.  On the other side of the issue, the argument rages against the medical community for failure to order basic blood tests to, at a minimum, rule out a physiological cause of the mental distress mothers are experiencing.

Currently, it is estimated that 85% of women experience some type of mood disturbance, with 10 to 15% developing more significant symptoms of depression and anxiety. Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH), for example, has a lengthy section on its website providing important information about the “categories” of postpartum symptoms, and it should be noted that MGH explains that the “postpartum period is characterized by a rapid shift in the hormonal environment.”

MGH goes on to explain that “while it appears that there is no consistent correlation between serum levels of estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, or thyroid hormones and the occurrence of postpartum mood disturbances, some investigators hypothesize that there is a subgroup of women who are particularly sensitive to the hormonal changes…”

The question, of course, is how does the medical establishment know which women are experiencing mental health issues who also may have hormonal and vitamin deficiencies that are common after giving birth, if blood tests are not conducted when these mood changes arise?

According to medical literature, blood tests to measure reproductive hormone levels are not routinely provided to new mothers and in the case of Lindsay Clancy, who was experiencing severe mental health symptoms, the tele psychiatrist did not order these basic blood tests before beginning poly psychiatric prescribing. In fact, the tele psychiatrist did not even conduct the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) test until a month after first prescribing drugs to Clancy.

If increased funding is what advocates of psychiatric intervention are requesting, one must wonder what form that would take. Is this a request for increased research into the cause of postpartum depression? The fact is there is no abnormality in a woman’s brain that is postpartum depression, anxiety or insomnia that can be targeted for treatment with mind-altering drugs. Nor is there any regulation or policy that requires medicine to provide basic blood tests to postpartum women to rule out physiological deficiencies.

The federal government, through Medicaid, is the largest payer of mental health services, including covering 40% of U.S. births. In fact, most states provide full Medicaid services to pregnant women with 38 states offering postpartum services for a full year after birth. While the cost of postpartum benefits through Medicaid are sketchy, it is estimated that $4,200 per person is spent during months 3 through 12 and, over a 10-year period, the cost to taxpayers for postpartum Medicaid benefits is more than $1.2 billion. None of this federal funding requires basic blood tests prior to prescribing psychiatric drugs as treatment for postpartum mental health issues.

The argument for increased mental health spending is countered by those who say a return to basic medicine is the best way to address the deadly tragedy of Lindsay Clancy and other new mothers complaining of postpartum issues. One must ask why the medical community refuses to take seriously the role hormones and vitamin deficiencies play in the mood changes of new mothers.

After all, ordering blood work for new mothers complaining of mental health struggles is the least expensive option and the most effective in confirming or eliminating specific physiological diagnoses. And that data, the results of those blood tests, could be collected to establish whether there is a correlation between postpartum mental health issues and hormone and vitamin deficiencies, which would lead to a better understanding of what treatment best corrects the postpartum symptoms.

It also seems logical that, short of identifying an abnormality in the brain of women experiencing postpartum mental health struggles, psychiatry is left with the sole purpose of either providing talk therapy or what appears to be the go-to treatment of experimenting with mind-altering drugs on new mothers. And, frankly, one could make a convincing argument that the 32 prescriptions over a four-month period and the experimental drug cocktails did not, at any point, help the Massachusetts mother feel better or relieve the postpartum symptoms first reported.

At the end of the day, AbleChild has to ask, just how long the experimental drugging of Lindsay Clancy would have continued had she not experienced a psychotic break? And, more importantly, why are women seeking postpartum mental health assistance not being offered the least expensive, most revealing diagnostic medical tests, but instead are being labeled as mentally ill and plied with psychiatric mind-altering drugs? Now that’s research AbleChild would get behind.

CNN’s resident conservative Scott Jennings has emerged as the new prediction-market favorite to replace outgoing White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

Prediction-market traders currently give Jennings roughly a 38% to 39% chance of becoming President Trump’s next press secretary, placing him well ahead of the other rumored contenders.

According to the latest numbers from Kalshi, Jennings is leading the field with roughly 39-40% odds of becoming the next White House Press Secretary.

White House Principal Deputy Press Secretary Anna Kelly sits a distant second, around 13-16%, with other names like Natalie Harp, former Trump attorney Alina Habba (who publicly ruled herself out), and Trump’s nominee to serve as the next U.S. Ambassador to Jamaica, Kari Lake.

Polymarket similarly placed Jennings at approximately 39% as of Sunday.

Of course, prediction-market odds are not an official announcement, and the White House has not confirmed that Trump has made a final decision.

The rapid movement came as President Trump publicly acknowledged Jennings as a possible replacement for Leavitt.

While speaking with reporters Friday before departing for South Carolina, Trump was asked about the growing list of potential candidates.

When a reporter mentioned Jennings, Trump responded:

“Scott Jennings is good.”

Trump also floated longtime White House communications adviser Margo Martin for the position.

“Maybe Margo. What do you think of Margo? Maybe Margo. Let’s see,” Trump said.

The president revealed that he has been inundated with people seeking the high-profile position.

“I have never had so many job applications in my life,” Trump said. “They all want that job. They love that job.”

WATCH:

Still, Jennings has refused to rule out taking the job.

CNN host Kaitlan Collins recently asked Jennings whether he had heard from the White House about replacing Leavitt.

“I don’t really have anything to say about it other than… I would get to see you every day,” Jennings joked.

“That’s not a no,” Collins replied.

Jennings later praised Leavitt as perhaps “the greatest White House press secretary in the last 30 years.”

According to recent reports, Jennings has also been working behind the scenes to bolster his candidacy.

Politico reported that Jennings sought a meeting with White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles after clips of him vigorously defending Trump executive assistant Natalie Harp circulated online and reached administration officials. No formal offer had been extended at the time of the report.

The Gateway Pundit also recently reported that Trump loyalists Alina Habba and Matthew Boyle had emerged as possible frontrunners.

Habba later denied that she was seeking the job.

“Flattered by the Kalshi odds, but I’m not in the running for any job,” Habba wrote on X. “However, if I’m getting a new one, I’d love for one of these anonymous sources to let me know first.”

Leavitt, meanwhile, is not leaving Trump’s political movement. As The Gateway Pundit reported, she will remain in Washington and join Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC.

Hillary Clinton has reportedly begun making plans for the eventual funeral of her husband, former President Bill Clinton, as concerns continue to mount over the 80-year-old Democrat’s health.

RadarOnline reported that Hillary, 78, has started arranging an elaborate memorial service, while Bill is allegedly reviewing his estate and making potential changes to a will reportedly valued at $120 million.

The report relies on unnamed insiders.

According to Radar, Hillary’s tentative plans include a traditional funeral service at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., followed by Bill’s burial at or near the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas.

One presidential historian cited by the outlet speculated that Clinton could even request to be buried near the library’s rooftop garden, which was described as one of his favorite retreats.

It should be noted that funeral planning for former presidents is not necessarily evidence of an immediate medical crisis. A Washington National Cathedral spokesperson told Radar that all living former presidents have state funeral plans under development.

Still, the report arrives as Bill Clinton enters his ninth decade following years of serious medical problems and increasingly frail public appearances.

Clinton turned 80 on August 19. Although he has continued attending public events, including the Obama Presidential Center dedication in June, even People magazine acknowledged that the former president has appeared “more visibly frail” in recent years.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Clinton appeared unsteady during a June 2025 book-signing event, at one point grabbing a pole to stabilize himself as he approached the building.

Just two months later, The Gateway Pundit reported that Clinton’s entourage was seen carrying a Propaq MD medical bag containing a portable patient monitor and defibrillator while Bill and Hillary departed the Hamptons.

That sighting fueled renewed questions about the former president’s cardiac health.

Clinton underwent quadruple-bypass surgery in 2004 after doctors discovered significant arterial blockages. He underwent another operation for a partially collapsed lung in 2005 and received two coronary stents in 2010.

In October 2021, Clinton spent nearly a week at UC Irvine Medical Center after a urinary tract infection spread to his bloodstream.

Then, in December 2024, Clinton was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital after developing a fever. He was released the following day after receiving treatment for the flu, as The Gateway Pundit reported at the time.

Radar further claimed that Clinton may have altered his reported $120 million will and that there could be “surprises” concerning its beneficiaries.
