Minnesota Democratic gubernatorial candidate Amy Klobuchar is running to replace the face of fraud in Minnesota, Tim Walz. One of her political angles is to represent herself as a ‘fraud fighter,’ but her Republican opponent, Lisa Demuth (R), the current Speaker of the Minnesota House of Representatives, is exposing Klobuchar and bringing the receipts.

Klobuchar shared a video claiming, “It’s time for results, not excuses.”

But how engaged has Klobuchar been in acknowledging the fraud, let alone addressing it? According to a recent review of her press releases, not at all.

According to a review by Fox News Digital, “Klobuchar’s Senate office repeatedly issued press releases addressing other forms of fraud between 2022 and 2025, but a review of 1,000 of her official press-release archive found no release directly addressing or offering solutions to fix Minnesota’s sprawling social-services fraud scandal or Feeding Our Future.”

The Gateway Pundit reported that Aimee Bock, the convicted mastermind behind the $250 million Feeding Our Future scandal, was sentenced to 41.5 years in federal prison for her role in a massive scheme that fraudulently billed taxpayers for tens of millions of meals that were never provided to low-income children during the pandemic.

The fraud was centered in Minnesota’s large Somali community and involved dozens of defendants.

Bock, who founded Feeding Our Future, was convicted in March 2025 on multiple counts, including conspiracy, bribery, and wire fraud. She had been the central figure coordinating the operation that exploited relaxed federal rules during the COVID-19 emergency.

In June, The Gateway Pundit reported on a bombshell report by the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform Majority Staff, which concludes that Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison were repeatedly warned about widespread fraud in Minnesota’s taxpayer-funded programs for years, yet failed to take meaningful action while billions of dollars were allegedly siphoned from government programs.

The 205-page report, titled “The Cost of Doing Nothing: How Tim Walz and Keith Ellison Fueled Minnesota’s Fraud Explosion,” paints a devastating picture of political negligence, bureaucratic paralysis, and what investigators describe as a pattern of looking the other way while fraudsters looted public funds.

According to the report, senior officials in the Walz administration and Ellison’s office were aware of credible fraud concerns as early as 2019 within the Minnesota Department of Human Services and by 2020 within the Minnesota Department of Education.

Yet, according to Fox’s review, “In more than 1,000 press releases from Klobuchar’s office from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2025, the Feeding our Future scandal was not mentioned in Klobuchar’s releases, nor were the terms ‘Minnesota fraud,’ ‘social services fraud,’ ‘Medicaid fraud,’ ‘autism fraud,’ ‘Housing Stabilization Services,’ ‘child nutrition fraud,’ ‘DHS fraud,’ or ‘nonprofit fraud.’

Demuth shared on X, “Sen. Amy Klobuchar issued more than 1,000 press releases from January 2022 through the end of 2025.”

“Not a single press release mentioned the fraud scandal that has plagued Minnesota.”

“Billions of our tax dollars stolen. It’s time for change.”

The Senate is seemingly becoming increasingly obsolete in the eyes in the American people as time goes on.

The upper chamber often fails to pass bills because the just refuse to get rid of the filibuster. So what’s the point?

The most notable bill being the SAVE Act, which passed through the House, but continues to stall in the Senate. All the Senators went on vacation for August Recess without passing the bill.

The Gateway Pundit spoke with a patriot in North Carolina, Thomas Jacobs, who hopes to write out the frustrations the American people have with the upper chamber.

Jacobs suggested instead of getting rid of the filibuster, we should just “Nuke the Senate,” which led to concerned comments about repelling the 17th amendment, which established that each state will have two Senators.

Jacobs spoke to TGP after he read some of these concerns about repealing the 17th.

“There were many comments about repealing the 17th Amendment. A few comments questioned why that was not referenced in the article. I am not in favor of repealing the 17th Amendment, at least for now. The reason is simple: I would rather have the American people elect their representatives rather than a legislature of elected politicians selecting my representative. The Senate is a small sample of that scenario. Senator Thune was not elected by the people to serve as Majority Leader. I do not know anyone who would vote for him,” Jacobs told TGP. 

“The sad part is that I am old enough to remember a United States Senate where the words were on another level of oratory and rhetorical speech. I remember a Senate that respected different points of view and actually was a deliberative body. Today, Congress is a place where shouting matches regularly occur, including the use of insults and foul language. When you watch any congressional hearing, witnesses are battered, verbally abused, and interrupted more often than not, while not being allowed to answer questions.”

The insults and foul language has turned the Senate into a high-school-like setting.

“We used to call our elected representatives ‘the Honorable _____.’ They lost that title because they do not deserve it. Americans deserve better. If we do not demand better, we deserve the status quo.”

Jacobs suggested reducing the size of the committees in the Senate and called for a Convention of States, as outlined in Article V of the Constitution.

“Here are some possible solutions: Cut the size of all Committees to half. That alone would give more time for Q&A. Mute all microphones other than the person speaking. I realize this opens the opportunity for lengthy answers that do not answer the question. The Committee Chairman would be responsible for intervening and instructing the witness to answer the question,” Jacobs told TGP. 

“The Founding Fathers pledged their lives and their fortunes to establish this nation. We need to return to our founding documents. It is the God-given wisdom of our Founding Fathers in writing those documents that have preserved this nation for 250 years. And within those founding documents, they gave the American people the ability to circumvent an elitist, entitled, and underperforming Congress. The Convention of States is one of the most brilliant and most overlooked ideas to be included in our Constitution.”

Jacobs points to the original vision of the Founding Fathers on why he believes a Convention of States would be necessary.

“The Founders could not and did not envision the concept of a professional politician, which is what we have today. Money and power are human drivers. Always have been, always will be. I do think they had a great understanding of human nature. I think that is the reason they included the Convention of States as a safeguard against a recalcitrant Congress,” Jacobs told TGP.

“I think the only way a Convention of States would work would be if there were a limit to the number of topics to be discussed. Four topics would be enough. I would suggest the Save America Act, term limits on Congress while also reducing the Senate’s tenure from six years to four years, limiting the Supreme Court to nine justices, and a Balanced Budget Amendment. Any other topic would be declared null and void, or out of bounds.”

Jacobs also argues that the size of the Supreme Court should be reduced, which contrasts to what National Democrats are trying to do, which is unconstitutionally pack the court:

“The Save America Act has an 80/20 ratio for passing by the American people. The idea of reducing the Senate’s term and term limits was discussed in the previous article. Supreme Court should have a limited number of Justices. Once one expands the number, it sets the precedent to expand the lower courts until the desired outcome, control of the Judiciary, is reached. (I am aware that the blue states will not want to pass that amendment. It is just like the filibuster situation. The Democrats have already said they will try to pack the court. President Trump should simply state that if the amendment does not pass, he will pack the court with conservative justices now. It is the political version of the Golden Rule: Do unto others before they do unto you.)”

Jacobs ends the conversation by tapping into some of the shared frustrations with the upper chamber that are on the rise with the American people such as the National Debt, balancing the budget, and government shutdowns.

“The Balanced-Budget Amendment is long overdue. This nation is $40 trillion in debt. This nation borrows money to give away. One of the largest and fastest-growing areas of the budget is interest on the debt. No more government shutdowns. No more Continuing Resolutions. Congress will never pass such an amendment because it is not their money that they are spending,” Jacobs told TGP.

“Assuming that a Convention was called, and three or four items were presented and possibly passed, the final act of the Convention would be to propose a list of items for future conventions. Given that a Convention of States had been called and produced positive results of the American people, by the American people, and for the American people, Congress would have two options: (1) face the realization that other Conventions could be called and Congress would become obsolete over time; (2) Congress could return to representing and serving their constituents, their states, and their country. It would be their choice. If they are already approaching irrelevance, then obsolescence is not far behind.”

As the Senate continues to fail to do their job, while taking extended breaks from work during August Recess and getting paid the same six figure salary, it’s no wonder why the general public is frustrated.

Patriots like Jacobs, are tired of seeing this sort of thing happen. Should we “Nuke the Senate?” Is a Convention of States needed? Has the Senate drifted too far from the Founders original principles?

“Call a Convention of States, select the topics, and stay disciplined, televise the whole thing nationally, and return the nation to the Founders’ God-given wisdom.”

Woke Hollywood leftist actor Mark Ruffalo went on Instagram Story on Friday to slam Paramount Skydance’s pending $111 billion takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery.

He couldn’t help adding a twist of hate to his argument by attacking the Jewish people involved in the merger.

The merger, which is currently being challenged by a dozen state attorney generals, including in California, would reportedly cost 4,500 jobs and also see Paramount Skydance owner David Ellison, a Trump enthusiast (and son of Oracle CEO and Trump megadonor Larry Ellison) in charge of not only the biggest studio in Hollywood but also CNN, which has caused alarm given the MAGA makeover he gave to CBS News.

Ruffalo reposted a video to his Instagram Story of Oracle’s executive vice chair Safra Catz boasting about the company’s efforts to help Israel in the wake of the terror attacks of Oct. 7, 2023, that saw Hamas and other Palestinian militant groups kill 1,195 Israelis and foreign nationals with another 251 people being abducted.

Catz, who is Israeli, said the following on a panel a few years ago: There’s a few things that we did that I really can’t talk about to advance the agenda for the Israeli military. But we have some really profoundly scary technology at Oracle and we wanted to make sure that it was available for the effort. Let’s just say that, okay?’

Ruffalo then shared the following on subsequent slides, pushing the concept that there is a “genocide” against Palestinians while failing to even address the October 7 terrorist attacks on civilians.

“This is the company that Larry Ellison is using to fund his son David’s Warner Bros acquisition,” Ruffalo wrote.

“These ‘really profoundly scary technologies’ will most likely be merged into one of the largest media conglomerates in the world and one day used on you. Look how she revels in what we now have come to see as a genocide, which was built on an apartheid system of oppression powered by Oracle.”

“There is an old saying. ‘The way you do one thing is the way you do everything.’”

“From one of the biggest tech companies in the world. Powering some of the most destructive and inhuman forces in the world. Why has Trump pushed this illegal merger through?”

“Larry Ellison will own most of ‘Para Bros.’ Larry is a classic Oligarch. They are crushing workers and consolidating the wealth of the world for their own power and concentrated dominance.”

“We have a chance to stop this. There are 12 state Attorneys General suing to block this merger. It will be catastrophic for our film industry.”

“There will be a loss of 4500 direct film making jobs and the loss of another 10k ancillary jobs. Merger like this are almost always bad for workers, consumers, and the industry they tend to dominate. It’s a classic antitrust case.”

“It will hike up the cost of cable and flatten out competition. This means less choice for our audiences. It also concentrates an enormous amount of creative control to companies that say and do things like this strange woman from Oracle.”

Ruffalo’s Trump Derangement Syndrome and his MAGA supporters is so deeply embedded, in 2024, he posted faked AI-generated images of Trump with young girls to push a false narrative about Epstein Island.

When caught, instead of admitting his mistake and failure to spend even a minute on due diligence, he blamed Elon Musk for “allowing so much disinformation” on X.

Ruffalo’s lack of compassion was called out by  “The Office” star Rainn Wilson, who recounted some of his liberal friends having a “kind of a good riddance” reaction to the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk last week.

“I spoke to a couple of — let’s say — some liberal friends last night at an event, and they were like, ‘You won’t find me shedding any tears,’ and someone else was like, ‘Oh well.’ There was a little bit of a, kind of a good riddance thing, and it’s like, ‘Guys, no,” he told actor Mark Ruffalo. “We cannot think or talk that way. That is not okay.”

Evergrande’s Founder Sentenced to Life in Prison in China Court After Firm’s Default of $300 Billion in Liabilities

The AP reported this week on the latest in the Evergrande bankruptcy:

Chinese authorities are moving to finish cleaning up the mess left by the collapse of the Evergrande real estate empire, years after its default with some $300 billion in liabilities.

A court in southern China’s Guangzhou said Friday it had accepted a bankruptcy liquidation case against Evergrande’s mainland Chinese property development unit, which according to industry data accounted for much of the group’s overall debt.

That came a day after a court in the city of Shenzhen sentenced China Evergrande’s 67-year-old founder Hui Kan Yan to life in prison for financial crimes. On the same day, dozens of others tied to the group, including Hui’s sons, also were sentenced to prison terms of up to 18 years.

China Is Cracking – Real Estate Is Tumbling and “Maybe” Some People Won’t Be Able to Leave the Country

In 2023, the world began to see China’s economy falter.  We reported on a report at the Business Insider.

It’s been clear for years that the Chinese real-estate market has been in trouble. China has a population of 1.4 billion, but it has built housing for a population of 3 billion, according to expert estimates. Many of the mega-developments became empty monuments to Beijing’s insatiable desire for growth. In Shenyang, farmers have taken over a development of empty mansions for cattle grazing.

At that time, real estate giant Evergrand began reporting problems.  Now its founder is in prison for life.

In response, the government instituted a law saying that it will not allow some people to leave the country, maybe.

China Just Made “Maybe” a Crime. Now Everyone Is a Flight Risk.

Beijing has quietly redrawn the line between citizen and suspect, and it did it with a single word.

Under China’s new Regulations on Exit and Entry Administration, effective September 15 but already being trialed at some ports, one term appears again and again: “may.” Not “did.” Not “will.” May. If an official decides you “may endanger national security, interests, industrial security, or technical security,” you can be barred from leaving the country. Nowhere does the text define what “may endanger” actually means.

That vagueness is the point. The power to stop you at the border has been pushed all the way down the chain, provincial governments, the Commerce Ministry, even county-level offices can now decide who flies and who stays. As geopolitics scholar Chen Wen-chia puts it: you’re no longer flagged for what you did, but for what someone imagines you might do.

This is the machinery of a paranoid state, jumping at its own shadow. China has flipped its legal logic from punishing crimes after the fact to preventing exit before anything happens. State firms are reportedly already tightening travel approvals for staff. Those labeled a “threat” abroad can be blocked from leaving for six months to three years after they return.

Why now? Because the regime is scared. With the economy sagging and public anger simmering, Beijing fears its own people voting with their feet, and fears even more what they say when they come back. Engineers in semiconductors, AI, and finance should read the fine print: you may be next on the watchlist.

The message to 1.4 billion people is chillingly simple: the door is closing, and no one will tell you why. (Aric’s note: Regarding China’s current population, some analyses and experts believe it is far smaller than the official figures claim, though the actual data remains unclear.)

If you’re planning to leave China, understand the rules before they understand you.

Two youths committed a sickening act of violence last week against a hard-working single California father who regularly helped those less fortunate.

As NBC Los Angeles reported, 48-year-old San Bernardino chef Greg Medina was relaxing in his jacuzzi after a long day at work when two teenagers suddenly snuck up behind him and attacked.

One youth kicked the father hard in the back of the head while the other snatched his phone. Both then run away.

KTLA shared footage of the horrific and cruel attack on Friday.

Medina, who works as a chef at the nonprofit Lutheran Social Services, where he has been feeding the homeless for more than a year, suffered a concussion and had to go to the emergency room. He says he still suffers from dizzy spells and headaches.

“I’ve been having a lot of dizzy spells, headaches, and got diagnosed with post-concussion disorder,” Medina told KTLA.

The attack has also forced Medina, a father to a 12-year-old girl, to miss work and lose money while recovering. He is her sole provider.

Two 13-year-olds were arrested on felony charges after being turned in by their parents on Friday. Medina said he learned the teens had been trying to film something for TikTok when they assaulted him.

One of the fathers reached out to Medina and informed him that his son was involved in the attack. Per the New York Post, Medina later met both teens, their fathers, and other family members at the jail.

The boys apologized to Medina, who then shook hands with them.

“They apologized to me, and we shared an embrace and a hug and told them I forgive them,” Medina told KTLA.

“They apologized to me. I don’t hate them. These are two young men that need help.”

The cause of death of a federal prosecutor who once served twice as acting US Attorney based in San Diego has reportedly been revealed.

As previously reported, a caller informed the San Diego Police late Wednesday evening to report that Haden might be missing.

A short time later, he was discovered dead by law enforcement in an office at 880 Front St. in Downtown San Diego.

Southern District U.S. Atty. Adam Gordon confirmed b Haden’s death in a statement, calling it “one of the darkest days in our office’s history.”

“But there was nothing dark about Andrew Haden’s life,” he added.

Now, the New York Post exclusively reports that Haden died by hanging in an apparent suicide.

This should not come as a surprise since San Diego Police Department spokesperson Ashley Nicholas previously noted that no foul play was suspected.

Per the Post, an investigation into the incident remains ongoing, and the San Diego medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.

As The LA Times notes, Haden had worked for the U.S. attorney’s office since 2010 and twice served as acting U.S. attorney for the Southern District of California during transitions of leadership.

The first was around two months in 2023, and then another two-month stint in 2025.

Haden also served in the US Navy for five years and completed two deployments in Iraq and Liberia.

After serving America, Haden attended law school at the University of San Diego and served as a court clerk for US District Judge Thomas J. Whelan in the Southern District of California.

Haden leaves behind a wife and two children.

Family members remembered him with several comments shared on social media.

“Shocking, heartbreaking, surreal, just can’t wrap my head around it at the moment. Always remember TOMORROW NEEDS YOU! 988 RIP LT Andrew Haden,” one family member wrote on Facebook.
