Kamala Harris speaks at an Asan Institute for Policy Studies lecture in Seoul, South Korea

Kamala Harris was in South Korea this week talking about the upcoming US election, which she accused Republicans of cheating in, but said Democrats are going to win.

Harris appeared at an Asan Institute for Policy Studies lecture in Seoul, South Korea, fueling speculation about her plans for 2024.

Per the Washington Times:

Ms. Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential nominee, was in South Korea at the invitation of the Asan Institute, a prominent Seoul think tank, to deliver its annual memorial lecture.

The lecture cut a broad swath, linking geopolitics and U.S. alliances to the race for primacy in global tech and the import of secure supply chains.

Given the timing — less than three weeks ahead of the midterms — and the support Ms. Harris has for another presidential bid, Asan got a hot speaker.

She currently leads a crowded field of potential candidates for her party’s 2028 nomination. An Oct. 11 Focaldata/Financial Times survey found 30% of Democrats back her — double the numbers of runner-up Gavin Newsom, governor of California, with 15%.

Notably, she used the appearance to push what Democrats have long considered a conspiracy theory: cheating in elections. Harris has adopted the narrative that Republicans are rigging the elections with attempts to pass voter ID measures, removing inactive and illegal voters, or “purging” the voter rolls, and redistricting in red states.

She has even started using Trump’s signature catchphrase, “Too big to rig.”

“There have been overt attempts to deny fair and free elections, as we all know,” she said during her Wednesday appearance at the panel in Seoul. She ironically went on to deny the fairness of the upcoming election.

“In the United States, there’s been overt cheating happening around the elections process, whether it be the purging of the voter rolls or Redrawing districts outside of the season when that would happen.”

“So I say all that to say that we are facing a lot of obstacles, but the Democrats are going to win,” she continued.

WATCH:

Meanwhile, the left-wing media is trying to corner Trump and get him to say he’ll accept the election results.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump was asked last week by a reporter if he’ll accept the results “no matter what party wins,” and he responded, “What do you think? Of course I will, but we don’t want cheating. We don’t want cheating in the midterms.”

“We don’t want cheating. Do you understand me?” he added.

JUST IN: FBI Agents Fired Over Their Roles For Targeting Trump in Classified Documents Case Sue to Get Their Jobs Back
October 15, 2026

The nine former FBI agents fired for their roles in Jack Smith’s classified documents case are suing the FBI and Director Kash Patel for their jobs back.

The disgruntled agents said they were fired without cause.

FBI Director Kash Patel fired the agents in February 2026.

The former agents argued that they never volunteered to work on the “Plasmic Echo” case, but rather were assigned to it because of their roles in counterintelligence.

NBC News reported:

Nine former FBI employees involved in the classified documents case against President Donald Trump filed suit Thursday against FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Todd Blanche, alleging their firings were “unlawful.”

The group’s suit says they were fired without cause for their work on the case involving Trump, and that the firings appeared to be politically motivated. It noted they were booted while FBI Patel was being criticized by the administration for partying with the U.S. Olympic hockey team.

FBI Special Agent Miles Starr, who was working in a unit called the “Director’s Advisory Team” that was apparently formed to look into Trump’s perceived political enemies, had demanded urgent access to the “Plasmic Echo” case file — the code name for the investigation into the classified documents case — on Feb. 23, the lawsuit says.

That was after video of Patel chugging a beer and “flinging alcohol around the U.S. men’s hockey team’s locker room at the Winter Olympics in Milan, Italy, began circulating widely on social media and news sites,” the suit says.

The file had the names of the agents who’d worked on the investigation, and they were summarily fired over the next few days without any of the required due process, the suit says.

“Each Plaintiff was provided with a termination letter signed by Director Patel” that falsely claimed that they had exercised “poor judgment and a lack of impartiality in carrying out their duties, leading to the political weaponization of the government,” the suit says.

Legal retaliation over comments is raising critical questions about the intersection of patriotism, free expression, and legal accountability.

According to a report by the Washington Examiner, on October 10, the Oversight Project successfully transferred a defamation lawsuit filed by Army Colonel Junel Jeffrey against retired Army Major Dr. Charles “Chase” Spears from the D.C. Superior Court to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

This move changes the presiding judges to Article III federal judges, allowing Spears a more accessible route to the U.S. Supreme Court if necessary.

The lawsuit arises from public comments made by retired U.S. Army public affairs officer Dr. Spears in September 2025, concerning a social media post attributed to Col. Jeffrey, a senior U.S. Army public affairs officer stationed at the Pentagon.

Following the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, Col. Jeffrey posted remarks on social media that included a reaction to Kirk’s murder, which Spears highlighted as a troubling instance of ideological extremism within the Armed Forces.

“Sometimes we reap what we sow,” read the post from a social media account featuring Jeffrey’s name and image.

Spears not only claimed that Col. Jeffrey was “the only one brazen enough” to publicly celebrate Kirk’s assassination, noting that she represents a significant segment of her colleagues, but he also penned an opinion article for RedState to express his concern.

“We failed to defeat Al Qaeda over the course of two decades,” he wrote. “Worse still, we allowed the American left wing to import that foreign terrorist association’s agenda, tactics, and desired end state: violent destruction of those marked as ‘infidels.’ Then we gave these neo-Qaeda agents safe harbor in the ranks of our military.”

The Oversight Project is now representing Spears in this case against him for these comments and more, marking a significant expansion of its legal efforts to defend individuals perceived as patriotic allies facing lawfare. The organization aims to combat the weaponization of legal systems against conservatives exercising their constitutional rights.

In a recent press release, President Mike Howell expressed outrage over the celebrations surrounding Charlie Kirk’s assassination, stating, “It speaks to a deep sickness our country needs to get a handle on. The act of noticing this evil is not defamation. The Oversight Project isn’t going to sit back and watch patriotic Americans be targets of lawfare any longer.”

Jeff Clark, the group’s vice president for litigation, also condemned Col. Jeffrey’s actions, describing them as “appalling” and “deeply disturbing.” He asserted that Col. Jeffrey’s defamation lawsuit against Spears in the amount of tens of millions of dollars exemplifies “weaponized lawfare.”

The Oversight Project’s legal battle on behalf of Spears is emblematic of a larger fight against the misuse of the judicial system to silence and intimidate those who speak out against extremist views. As the case progresses in the federal court, it not only seeks justice for Spears but also serves as a rallying point for others who face similar challenges.

More Questions Than Answers: Maricopa County Supervisor Releases “Explanation” of Controversial Late-Night Election Video

More Questions Than Answers: Maricopa County Supervisor Releases “Explanation” of Controversial Late-Night Election Video
October 15, 2026

On October 10, The Gateway Pundit published an article that revealed concerning video allegedly showing two election workers, one carrying a toddler, entering the Ballot Tabulation Center (BTC)M after hours and inserting a device into one of the adjudication terminals.

Days prior, the Logic & Accuracy (L&A) testing had already been completed.  The terminals reportedly had “port blockers” installed over the USB ports in order to ensure no foreign devices were inserted into the systems following the completion of the L&A testing.

On October 14, Maricopa County published via X a “Joint Statement Addressing Election Misinformation” from the Board of Supervisors Chair Kate Brophy McGee and Vice Chair Debbie Lesko.

The statement described the work as “authorized and necessary work to update software and upload election data to a computer terminal” that is air-gapped and did not involve the Election Management System or tabulators.

The update required a USB drive “to load authorized election files onto the duplication terminal,” according to the statement.  It also claims that, “The entire process is subject to rigorous audits during and after every election.”

Following the joint statement from the Chair and Vice Chair, Supervisor Mark Stewart posted a video to X with “Eric,” the Chair of the Libertarian Party and “Michelle,” who is described as “a friend” of Stewart’s from the Republican Party.

Following a “tour” and “an understanding of what happened here the other day,” Stewart deferred to the Eric and Michelle to explain:

Eric describes the problem with Runbeck’s Novus System (ballot duplication software) as follows:

“When Runbeck provided the election title name for this file, it contained a backslash in it.  A backslash generally indicates a folder structure on a Windows machine, and so that character caused a bug on the export when the ballot duplication had finished.  By removing the backslash, the export could run.  Essentially, what we saw on the evening video was them trying to troubleshoot and figure out that backslash problem.

What this kind of points to to me is that Runbeck needs better software Q&A because that backslash should not be an allowable character in that particular field.

The Elections Department is essentially writing guidance to tell people not to use special characters, which dodges the issue.  But that was the full finding from today’s tour.”

This explanation is bizarre.  If a Windows-based system user tries to use a backslash ( ) when saving a document on any Windows application, they most likely will be prompted with an “error” message that the backslash character is not recognized.  How this somehow made its way into Runbeck’s software is a competency question that needs to be answered.

But more concerning was the explanation from Michelle, the friend from the Republican Party.  She stated:

“The backslash and the export process was in the process of generating the pdf file that is used to actually print the replacement ballots and I think that that piece of that is important.

The system they were working on is the duplication system. The duplication system is on an air-gapped network so its separate from everything else in the room. That’s by design. It’s not part of the logic and accuracy testing as prescribed by law and by the election procedures manual, the EPM.

It’s not part of it because its not part of the Election Management System, its not part of the tabulation system.

It’s something that happens outside of it which could happen manually bubbling in to replace a damaged ballot or formats of ballots like braille and others that cannot be read by the tabulation system.

Once the ballots are generated from the input from the system and the exported pdf file, that’s what actually goes through the rest of the system that has been already certified as well as the logic and accuracy testing.

The assertion that the duplication system is not subject to Logic & Accuracy (L&A) testing “as prescribed by … the election procedure manual (EPM)” appears to be misinformed.  The EPM actually states that damaged/defective ballots “must be manually duplicated by a Ballot Duplication Board.”  It does not authorize electronic software to adjudicate or duplicate damaged or defective ballots.

Image

The EPM does later state that “an alternative” to “manual duplication of ballots … by the Ballot Duplication Board” can be performed by an Electronic Vote Adjudication Board appointed by the Board of Supervisors and that they must “utilize a certified electronic adjudication program” in doing so.

Image

Further, the EPM also states that “If electronic adjudication of votes … will be utilized … that functionality shall also be tested during the L&A test to ensure secure and proper functioning.”

Image

In another section of the EPM for “Conducting the L&A Test,” it states that, “If the county intends to use the electronic adjudication or electronic write-in tallying functionality in the upcoming election, that functionality must also be tested during the Secretary of State’s L&A test.”

Image

One position Maricopa County could potentially take is that the Novus duplication software is entirely separate from the electronic-adjudication functionality and therefore not subject to the testing and certification.

If that is the case and the distinction is drawn, then the EPM appears to preclude the usage of electronic duplication software as it states damaged/defective ballots “must manually be duplicated by a Ballot Duplication Board,” not by untested, uncertified software.

At the very least, Maricopa County should clarify the authority in which an untested, stand-alone duplication system could be used to replace the manual duplication process.

The Gateway Pundit has reached out to Supervisor Mark Stewart for comment regarding the video as well as Vice Chair Debbie Lesko for more information regarding the authorization records related to this update.  The Gateway Pundit will update this article accordingly.

Paxton Closes In… Talarico Scrambles (VIDEO)
October 15, 2026

Ken Paxton is closing the gap, and James Talarico is reaching for a political disguise. With a new poll putting the Texas Senate race just two points apart, suddenly the Democrat wants voters to see a moderate.

My take?

His convictions haven’t changed. His sales pitch has.

Oil and gas. Transgender procedures for children. ICE. Today on Stinchfield, we examine the distance between Talarico’s record and his election season messaging.

Don’t confuse him for a flip-flopper. In my opinion, he still believes what he believed before. He’s just learned which parts to stop telling you.

Meanwhile, NBC turns up the heat on Michigan Democrat Abdul El Sayed over his sister’s claims about their family’s Muslim Brotherhood connections. He denies having ties. But calling her account “hearsay” invites an obvious question: Why would your own sister say it?

James Talarico Tries To Play Moderate at CNN Town Hall, Gets Owned on Abortion by Catholic Voter
October 15, 2026

Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico made an appearance at a town hall hosted by CNN in collaboration with Jubilee on Wednesday evening.

The format CNN used was reminiscent of Jubilee’s “Surrounded” series, where one individual must face a barrage from naysayers who disagree with their views.

For Talarico, opposition came from a Roman Catholic woman who made it known she was a single-issue voter, with everything coming down to abortion.

After expressing her hesitance to vote Democrat because of the party’s poor track record on the issue, Talarico tried to respond as a moderate, attempting to find common ground with someone he considered a fellow Christian.

“Some of my spiritual heroes like Pope Francis and Pope Leo are pro-life, and they are consistently pro-life,” he told her. “I can respect anyone like you who is consistently pro-life,” Talarico said, hoping to find “common ground.”

The Senate hopeful then tried claiming “the Bible is silent on the issue of abortion.”

He tried desperately to distance himself from the line from the Democrats’ long-held stance on murdering children, telling the woman, “You and I actually have the same goal. We may have different moral conclusions when it comes to this particular ethical question, but we actually have the same public policy goal.”

Although he kept rambling, this voter would not let his comment on Scripture go unaddressed.

“I just want to add that the Bible is not silent on abortion. There is the 10 Commandments: thou shalt not kill.”

Talarico simply told her, “It’s okay that you and I come to different conclusions about that.”

No, it definitely is not okay.

How can voters who oppose the slaughter and dismemberment of children find any common ground with Talarico or his party?

For all of the mental gymnastics he tries here, the issue is black and white.

Either you support the murder of children in the womb, or you do not.

Talarico’s understanding of Scripture is strange, but more accurately abhorrent. That tracks well with leadership at his church claiming Jesus did not die for our sins and that we cannot know if He even existed.

The town hall gave audiences more moments like this as he tried to inch away from the radicalism Democrats have spent years endorsing.

Deviating from the “Abolish ICE” narrative the left uses with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Talarico said, “We need Immigration and Customs Enforcement in this country, but that’s not what we’re seeing,” commenting, “What we’ve seen over the last year is a secret police force, and that’s what we don’t want in this country.”

Sure, calling ICE the “secret police” is not moderate, but it’s a step back from the lunacy of the left by at least understanding the agency is needed.

Talarico maintains a slim lead over his Republican opponent, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, as the New York Post, citing RealClearPolling, puts him ahead by 2.6 percentage points.

He’s trying to tread lightly until November, but abortion is not a middle ground issue with room for nuance. We are talking about the murder of innocent children.
