Pop star Katy Perry, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s gal pal, might have a good singing voice, but she’s terribly tone-deaf.
While Canada is facing an epidemic of church burnings, a clip shared from her new music video for the song “Watch It Burn,” Perry juxtaposes lyrics about “watch[ing] it burn” with the backdrop of a church.
Perry released the single on June 25, and a clip making the rounds shows Perry sitting in a church pew while singing the chorus, “Tonight’s the night I light a match. Throw it hard behind my back. Gonna try to forgive and forget. Light a cigarette and watch it burn.”
Journalist Harrison Faulkner noted, “Katy Perry released a music video for a new song “Watch It Burn” where she’s sitting inside of a church talking about burning it down.”
“I light a match, throw it hard behind my back and watch it burn.”
“When Justin Trudeau was Prime Minister, over 100 churches in Canada were burned or vandalized.”
