Yesterday, The Gateway Pundit reported that US District Judge Kathleen Williams had ordered a South Florida Detention Facility affectionately nicknamed ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ to cease receiving new detainees and dismantle the facility in 60 days.

“The Court ENTERS a Preliminary Injunction prohibiting the State and Federal Defendants and their officers, agents, employees, attorneys, and any person who is in active concert or participation with them from (1) installing any additional industrial-style lighting (described by witnesses as “Sunbelt” lighting); or doing any paving, filling, excavating, or fencing; or doing any other site expansion, including placing or erecting any additional buildings, tents, dormitories, or other residential or administrative facilities on the TNT site; and (2) bringing any additional persons onto the TNT site who were not already being detained at the site at the time of this Order going into effect,” the judge wrote in an 82-page order reviewed by The Gateway Pundit.

The facility is located inside the Big Cypress National Preserve in Ochopee, FL at the Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport.

This morning, during a press conference with Florida Highway Patrol to announce the results of a major immigration enforcement operation, Governor Ron DeSantis said that the ruling “is not going to deter us.”

This was not something that was unexpected.  This is a judge that was not going to give us a fair shake.  This was preordained.  Very much an activist judge that is trying to do policy from the bench.  This is not going to deter us.  We are going to continue working on the deportations, advancing that mission.  We knew that this would be something that would likely happen and we will respond accordingly.

We’re now in this position where we’re leading the state effort to help the Trump administration actually enforce the law and actually remove these illegal aliens from not just Florida, but from our country.  That’s something that we didn’t have for four years and now that’s something that we’re absolutely on board with making sure happens going forward.

Not only did Governor DeSantis stand in the gap against a federal judge trying to dismantle a state facility, the Florida governor doubled down on the creation of a new facility in the northern portion of the state to be known as the “Deportation Depot”:

I would also note that because of the success of Alligator Alcatraz, there’s demand for more.  So I did announce that we’re going to be opening another facility right outside of Jacksonville in Baker County.  We’ve called that the “Deportation Depot.”  So that is something will be able to hold another 2,000 and there’s an airport close by.  So you have the processing and the removal.

During the announcement, Gov. DeSantis called on the Republican-led Congress to defund sanctuary states like California, who issued a commercial drivers license to an illegal alien who killed three Floridians when he made an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike in St. Lucie County.

The Peach State GOP appears to be making changes with two recent moves in Georgia involving the Secretary of State’s Office.  While one is essentially a notional move and the other a voluntary departure, these developments bolster the sentiment of Republicans in the controversial 2020 swing state.

Resolution to Ban Raffensperger From Running as a Republican

Earlier in June, the Georgia GOP passed a resolution that would disallow the current Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger from running for elected office as a Republican.  According to reporting from WABE, one of the reasons cited is that Raffensperger “does not have the faith and confidence of the Georgia Republican Party.”

According to Carter Mitchell, a convention delegate from Bibb County, “This is over issues with the…Dominion voting machines, his role as the Secretary of State of Georgia,” calling it “a very, relatively popular…resolution.”

However, the resolution is likely ineffective, as the recently reelected party chair Josh McKoon said, “I don’t really see a way for the Georgia Republican Party to decline someone the opportunity to qualify.”  Essentially, Raffensperger can still show up even if a majority doesn’t want him there.

WABE reported:

Speaking after the convention ended on Saturday, newly reelected party chair Josh McKoon said that while the resolution represents the sense of the convention delegates, the party must follow the law.

“And the law of the state of Georgia is pretty clear, with regards to qualifying. So if someone submits the appropriate paperwork, including the loyalty oath, unless there is a case to be made that the loyalty oath would involve false swearing, I don’t really see a way for the Georgia Republican Party to decline someone the opportunity to qualify,” McKoon said.

Raffensperger has not yet announced any future plans to run for public office.

Chief Operating Officer for SOS Gabriel Sterling Departs for Private Practice

Today it was reported that Gabriel Sterling will be leaving the Secretary of State’s office where he served for six years as the Chief Operating Officer.  Notably, he vacated that role temporarily to work the 2020 Presidential Election as a contractor rather than as a public official.

Sterling left the position in order to start a business, Sterling Innovative Solutions.

Gabe Sterling, who famously warned President Donald Trump in 2020 to tone down his stolen election rhetoric, has left his position as chief operating officer of the Georgia Secretary of State’s office.

According to Sterling’s LinkedIn page, he has started a business called Sterling Innovative Solutions.

Sterling, a Republican, has served as COO for more than six years.

Both Sterling and his boss, current Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, gained national attention in the chaotic aftermath of Georgia’s 2020 presidential election.

Sterling’s departure comes as Georgia’s wide-open gubernatorial and lieutenant gubernatorial elections loom in 2026, with Raffensperger rumored to be considering a bid for higher office.

Raffensperger has also been mentioned as a possible GOP Senate challenger to Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Jon Ossoff, who is up for reelection next year.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth fired the general in charge of the agency that released the dubious ‘top secret’ intelligence assessment about the US’s strikes on Iranian nuclear sites.

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse was fired as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, according to The Associated Press.

The AP reported:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has fired a general whose agency’s initial intelligence assessment of damage to Iran nuclear sites from U.S. strikes angered President Donald Trump, according to two people familiar with the decision.

Lt. Gen. Jeffrey Kruse would no longer serve as head of the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency, according to the people, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it publicly.

In June President Trump announced that the US had dropped bombs on three nuclear sites in Iran.

“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter,” Trump said on Truth Social on Saturday.

President Trump said bunker-busting bombs totally obliterated the Fordow nuclear plant.

On Tuesday, a ‘top secret’ intel assessment of the Fordow plant was leaked to CNN, AP, and the New York Times.

CNN reported that, according to a leak, an early assessment from the Pentagon’s intelligence arm revealed Iran’s nuclear sites are ‘largely intact’ and the US strikes only set them back a few months.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded to the leak: “This alleged assessment is flat-out wrong and was classified as ‘top secret’ but was still leaked to CNN by an anonymous, low-level loser in the intelligence community. The leaking of this alleged assessment is a clear attempt to demean President Trump, and discredit the brave fighter pilots who conducted a perfectly executed mission to obliterate Iran’s nuclear program. Everyone knows what happens when you drop fourteen 30,000-pound bombs perfectly on their targets: total obliteration,” Karoline Leavitt said to CNN.

The Justice Department on Friday delivered thousands of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein to the House Oversight Committee.

Earlier this month Comer subpoenaed “all documents and communications relating or referring to” Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell by August 19.

“While the Department undertakes efforts to uncover and publicly disclose additional information related to Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell’s cases, it is imperative that Congress conduct oversight of the federal government’s enforcement of sex trafficking laws generally and specifically its handling of the investigation and prosecution of Mr. Epstein and Ms. Maxwell,” Comer wrote in a letter Attorney General Pam Bondi.

The resurgence of the Jeffrey Epstein sex-trafficking ring as a major issue for national debate took Ghislaine Maxwell out of the oblivion of her cell in tough FCI Tallahassee, in Florida.

Since then, she was interviewed for two days by Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, and as a reward, was transferred to ‘camp fed’ low-security Camp Bryan in Texas – a prison normally reserved to inmates at the end of their sentences – unless they are cooperating witnesses.

Maxwell was also subpoenaed by the House Oversight Committee, but her deposition was postponed for a moment after the Supreme Court examines her appeal against her prosecution and 20-year sentencing.

Maxwell’s lawyers argue that the 2008 ‘sweetheart deal’ that Epstein got in Florida should have given her immunity from prosecution – a thesis that has been rejected repeatedly in lower instances.

And today, the DOJ has released the complete audio recordings of the two-day interview from Ghislaine Maxwell, ‘in the interest of transparency’.
